Dubois Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4, possible 5)

Private 14-acre small ranch located in the heart of Wyoming cowboy country. The cabin and acreage are located on the Wind River with exclusive private access to fly-fishing. Use the cabin as homebase to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. There are beautiful views from everyside of the cabin--enjoy the spectacular sunrises over the Badlands, and a sunset dropping into the Jackson Valley. There are two comfortable bedrooms and one bathroom with a full washer and dryer, perfect for a small family. There is a large screen tv with satellite television and Apple TV and wireless internet. Kitchen is fully equipped for even the most gourmet meals. Enjoy packing the picnic basket if you would like to have a picnic nearby.

The outside wrap-around deck allows for sunsrise and sunset viewing, with the endless horizon and mountains as your view. Outdoor eating, Wine and Cheese, or coffee mornings are just some of the wonderful things to be enjoyed in the privacy of the grounds.

Horses and stables nearby, private barn for painting, writing, etc., (Just ask for access). The cabin is newly built, extremely clean, and very comfortable. Luxury linens and towels, and bathroom amenities provided. Check the reviews from our delighted guests!

Dubois is located in a valley between the Absaroka and Wind River mountain ranges. The rustic log buildings that line the main street look much as they did when the town was first settled in the late 1800's.

Native Americans, fur traders, homesteaders, outlaws, and tie hacks are all part of the area's diverse cultural heritage. Legendary outlaw Butch Cassidy even spent a fall and winter living near Dubois.

The area is home to the largest herd of bighorn sheep in the lower 48 states. Several thousand elk winter around Dubois, and watchful visitors can easily spot mule deer and moose.

A varied selection of special events is part of the Dubois experience. Beginning with Winterfest in February, there's something happening almost every month. Dubois' Headwaters Center is home to a national juried art show in July. Beginning in June, a family–oriented rodeo and a chuckwagon dinner are held weekly. The Sheep Center and Dubois Museum offer free weekly interpretive programs.

Many delightful restaurants, art shops, and breathtaking scenery abound.

Keywords: Cabin, with barn and fly-fishing, on a private 14 acre ranch, located directly on the Wind River.

About Julie

We are a family of five located in Southern California. This property is for us to enjoy the great outdoors, and to get away from the busy lifestyle in SoCal. We enjoy fly-fishing, rafting on the Wind River, hiking, and horseback riding. This is a slice of heaven and must be seen to be enjoyed.

Great House !

  • 5 of 5

The house and location is perfect and just what we needed for our annual Yellowstone area vacation. Very comfortable, quite and relaxing. This is our second year at this location and we definitely hope to return. Lots of wildlife and great wind river access for fishing. Wonderful and accommodating hosts.

Beautiful Getaway Home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this property. Upon arrival, the house was immaculate and had everything we could ever need. We found very useful notes left by the care taker, Amy, on the week's local activities.

It was the perfect location to explore the Shoshone National Forest, Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We are already planning our trip back next year!

Thank you, Julie and Family for sharing your special place with us!

All the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

Great cabin in a beautiful location. The cabin is equipped with everything you could need for cooking and feeling at home. We saw lots of beautiful birds, mule deer, and even a coyote from the kitchen table! Dubois is a great location for day trips to Grand Teton, and even Yellowstone is doable in a day.

Very Nice House for a Wyoming Vacation

  • 5 of 5

House is in a beautiful area with plenty of privacy. The Wind River and the sunrises are spectacular. Kitchen is well-equipped, overall the house has everything you need. Located close enough to the Grand Tetons for day trips, plenty of other hiking, fishing, recreation activities are nearby. Dubois has a few restaurants and interesting shops, plus a rodeo every Friday night during the summer. The owner and caretaker were very available and responsive.

The Great West

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed in this beautiful cabin in Wyoming as part of our trip to the great west and our visits to the National parks nearby. The cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable, lovely, and the surrounding views incomparable.

Highly recommend staying-- has everything you need for a home away from home!
