Casa Amarilla is one of the few BEACHFRONT homes overlooking the famous surf break at San Pedrito, Baja California Sur. The newly constructed Casa Amarilla offers a complete kitchen, bathroom, living and dining areas, terrazas and spectacular views of the beach, surf, and sunsets! Mexican accented tile adds to the ambiance. Besides enjoying the fun of the beach and surf right outside Casa Amarilla, the views and sounds of the surf generate a sense of place while being seen and heard from the kitchen, dining and living area.. Imagine waking up (or even washing dishes!) to an ocean view! This is Baja!
The white sand beach, a leatherback turtle nesting area, extends 3 miles to the south across El Pescadero and is perfect for long walks. Just step outside to begin! When Humpback and Gray whales are migrating offshore, their spouts, flukes and occasional breaching can be seen from the beach and this beach house. This area is one of the few water-rich locales along the desert Baja coast, giving rise to native palm groves and small local Mexican farms growing basil, chilies, herbs and flowers just inland from the beach community.
Nearby, the restaurant and bar of the “Rancho Pescadero”, a boutique resort/hotel, are accessible from the beach or road, a short walk (¼ mile) south of Casa Amarilla. The beach house is just a few minutes (less than 2 miles) drive from the tiendas (small grocery stores), taco stands, restaurants, gas station, and a sports bar in the community of El Pescadero. The historic town of Todos Santos, designated as a “Pueblo Magico” is just a 10 minute drive north, and offers a variety of restaurants, great taco stands, tiendas, craft shops, banks, and art galleries, all within walking distance of its church and plaza. Or, load Casa Amarillas beach umbrella, beach chairs, and cooler into your car and head for Los Cerritos Beach, just a 7 minute drive south of Casa Amarilla, a family friendly swimming beach with lifeguards, surfboard rentals, and a beachside restaurant/bar. Of course, all the activities of cruise ship destination Cabo San Lucas are about a half hour's drive south.

This was our first trip to the area and we did not know what to expect....we were absolutely delighted with the beach, the people, the charming town of Todos Santos and especially with Brian and his lovely Casa Amarilla. What a perfect choice for a peaceful, private taste of serenity in paradise.
We stayed in the upper unit. We could not resist the amazing terrace overlooking the Pacific. It was perfect for the two of us. The home is solidly constructed so we heard nothing except the waves crashing on the shore when we opened the doors.
Brian was a pleasure to deal with from our first inquiry through answering our many questions about the area and finally bidding farewell with the definite hopes of returning.
Casa Amarilla is very comfortable, immaculately clean, and we could not have been more pleased. The vistas from the terrace were stunning. We were there in late January/early February. The whales were congregating right in front of us.........we spent hours happily sipping tequila and watching them roll and breach from our viewpoint.
Brian supplied everything we required for a relaxing and perfect visit: from bottled water to internet service, beach chairs, washer/dryer to American cable TV.
It was a fabulous ten days. Thank you, Brian. Thank you, Todos Santos.
My husband and I spent a week in the second floor unit at Casa Amarillo, and we can't wait to book our next stay. The home is beautiful with amazing views. We spent most of our time sitting on the balcony with our binoculars watching whales or the surfers down the beach. It's a perfect location for day trips to La Paz and Cabo.
Brian is wonderful helping where needed. His directions to the house are critical even thought our google gps did a pretty excellent job. You'll want to try to get there the first day during daylight hours as it is down a winding dirt road with no lights, and we had a moment of "oh my god, what have we done." But once you get there, you realize you've made a wonderful decision.
If you want someplace to just relax and enjoy the quiet, this is your place... we are already planning our return trip.
Wonderful spot, gracious kind host. SPECTACULAR VIEW and beach. This is the perfect spot for long walks or day trips to todos santos
Mostly just very relaxing
Will definitely be back.
Brian was great !
We are more than happy with our stay on the beach in Mexico. Being right on the beach and listening to the waves crash as you fall asleep is something special. The house is equipped with everything you need, including beach chairs and umbrellas when making a trip down onto the beach for the day. There are ample towels and extras needed to feel like you're at home. The second level does not have a microwave but the first floor does. The first floor has a small house safe to place passports, cash and other valuables for those wanting to be on the safe side. The main floor is comfortable for 2 couples but not 6 people and the upper level is really a one couple rental. Be very careful with the listing as it is miss leading. There are 2 rental properties. There is the main floor and second level which are separate units with 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen each. We thought we were staying in a 2 bedroom place with 2 bathrooms and were rather disappointed when we arrived. If we were to pay the full amount for both rental properties, we believe it to be too expensive for what is offered.
Wide open beach partly because it is difficult to get to. A good place for surfers and dog lovers. The downside is you will need to watch for the occasional dog poops hidden partly by the sand. You will find whales jumping just a few hundred yards away and sea turtles laying eggs on the beach. This beach however is not good for swimmers or snorkeling. Our upstair unit was well equipped but for the conspicuous absence of a microwave. The curtains do not encourage sleeping after sunrise. In December, the weather can be much cooler (mid-50's) and windy after late afternoon so be sure to bring some warm clothing. The pillows must have been purchased during the Spanish-American war and need to be replaced. I think the bedroom can use a king-size v the queen-size bed. Due to its secluded location, the closest restaurants other than those catering to the locals, are in Todos Santos, about 10-15 minutes drive. If you are a surfer seeking a quiet place , this is the place for you. Since there is no pool or swimming areas around, I wonder if this place is good for younger children .
WOW! Casa Amarillo is absolutely beautiful. The back patio/porch area gave a great view of the beach and we used the recliner chairs to stay up and watch the stars at night. They have a little firepit that we built a small fire in on our first night. The home felt very comfortable and neither one of us wanted to leave. We stayed for just two nights and decided that if we ever go back we will be staying the for a much longer time! Two nights just wasn’t enough. We took others advice and visited Baja Beans. Wow – excellent coffee! They actually had a little mini open air market the day we went and we bought some fresh fruit for breakfast the next day. The Herba Buena restaurant is on the same dirt road and services excellent food. We ate there twice in the two days we were there.
Nearby Gypsy Tours offers Coastal Mountain Hiking, Panga Boat Fishing, Horseback riding, and tours to El Triungo and the Piano Museo (ask for contact information). Its an easy day trip to surfing lessons at El Cerritos Beach, ATV rentals in the desert, golf in La Paz and Cabo San Lucas, great coral reef snorkeling between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, wind surfing in the Sea of Cortez.
