It is a very quiet and great location. It is the smoothest side of taIhe lake. It has a huge area from our side to the other side. You come out of our very large area where you can fish and ski in our cove and turn to the right to go under the bridge or turn left and go to the side that is smooth s glass. Just a beautiful view.
There are not a lot of boats so this makes it a smooth ride and plenty of room to ski, fish or just boat. Great location
Linda is awesome, very friendly and the home is actually that. My family and I felt like we were at our own lake house not some empty rental property like most others. Will definitely stay there next year.
We have stayed in this home 6 times over the past 5 years. This is an amazing property. It works so well for our large family. Plenty or room to spread out. On our recent stay we noticed a new comfy recliner ,new large plush towels, a clothes hanging rack in the master bedroom, and she had put a new motor on the boat lift. The owner has put a lot into this beautiful home. The owner is so easy to work with. She addresses any problems that might arise. Last year the power was off for about two hours. It was off in the whole subdivision. We notified her and she quickly got in touch with the utility company and let us know what happened and about how long it would be out. She always goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable and to be able to enjoy their stay. Our family loves staying in this home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a really nice, comfortable place to stay on Lake Conroe.
We have stayed at this property on two separate occasions and have never had anything short of great experiences. The view is to die for and there are many amenities in this home that we have not enjoyed on other properties such as air hockey, pool and table tennis table, a kayak, and covered boat dock on the water. The owner has been more than accommodating on both visits and wonderful to work with. Will stay there again when we are back in the area.
My family and I had a wonderful weekend. The kids enjoyed skiing and wakeboarding. The adults enjoyed having drinks and fishing off the dock. The owner was very accommodating and eager to help us out with anything we needed, suggested resturants and shopping. The house was very spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be back, hopefully longer next time.
As advertised, the house is modern, open, has great views of the lake. The interior was clean although the patio furniture and ceiling was spider-infested.
Our problems started when we unloaded the car(s) and found we had no access to the Master closet. We had suits and dresses that needed to be hung. The only available hanging bar is in the laundry room, at the opposite end of the house… annoying. And why? The given reason is that the master closet is used for the storage of cleaning supplies. However, there is a much more appropriate spot (the empty pantry beside the laundry room) for storage. There is no place to hang towels in master bath, either.
Many of the drawers in the master bedroom and bathroom are full of ‘stuff’ that seems to have been left in place by the owners, for their convenience. It felt like we were trespassing rather than freely enjoying the space. Similarly, there is a house advisory against loud conversations and noise outside which might disturb the neighbors.
After I had selected the property based on published rates, a surprise cleaning and damage deposit came up. I decided to go along since the house met our needs in other ways. I know many rentals charge a separate cleaning fee but it is irritating to pay for cleaning, and then receive checkout instructions on where to take the trash, used towels, etc. When you stay at a hotel you do not pay extra for cleaning or have to go to the lobby for your closet access. My deposit has not been returned after two weeks, nor have I been advised of what damage was found. I do not believe we caused any damage.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a spongey foam egg-crate top, over a very stained mattress. It was less than the bed I would expect in a large master room, of a “Luxury” accommodation. The bedside lamp switch had been broken off, and the lamp could not be used.
There is a video camera mounted above the patio. We felt like we were being watched all the time. That feeling was validated when the owner later advised that a neighbor had taken photographs of us in the yard, and sent them to her.
I would not recommend this house, unless all of the above is remedied. This is something like the 10th vacation home we have stayed in, in the USA, Canada, Michigan, New Mexico, California, and this is our first big disappointment.
We usually go to Galveston over Spring Break but this year we decided to try Lake Conroe and we had no regrets. Our family of 6 had an awesome time. This was by far the nicest vacation rental on VRBO that we have ever stayed at. The home is beautiful and fully equipped with everything we needed along with very comfortable beds and bedding. The view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous. We brought our boat and the boat lift was a plus. The fishing was great also, largemouth bass, and a 30” cat fish was the high light of the trip for my husband. It was a really nice quite neighborhood. The first part of the week the weather was a little cooler and we took full advantage of the game room upstairs in the evenings. The owner was so pleasant to work with. We can't wait to go back again this summer when the weather is warmer and take full advantage of the back yard and lake.
