Satilla Cottage was custom built by the Baker Family in 2001 on a beautiful site only 150 steps from St. Simons Island's favorite beach. It's one of the larger homes in Coast Cottages at St. Simons, coastal Georgia's favorite vacation neighborhood.

Satilla Cottage has four bedrooms, 3.5 baths and comfortably sleeps 10. The master suite takes up the entire third floor, and each bedroom has it's own TV. The living, dining and kitchen areas flow together so family members can easily interact, whether they're cooking, eating or watching a game on the flat screen TV.

You'll love the beautiful furnishings in each room, the high ceilings, plantation shutters, and rich pine flooring. There's plenty of outdoor space too with five breezy porches throughout the cottage, several with gorgeous ocean views!

Satilla guests enjoy full privileges at Coast Cottages' fabulous beach front pools and pavilion. The neighborhood sits front and center on St. Simons Island's magnificent Coast Guard beach, the widest stretch of sand on the island. This is a place where you can walk the beach at high tide, low tide, any tide! (Many vacation rentals along the St. Simons' beach cannot make that claim.)

Wonderful family beach house

We had a wonderful time. We have 3 children and had two sets of grandparents visit at different times. Plenty of room and a very well-appointed home. Beautiful but also child-friendly.

Loved Satilla

We had a wonderful family vacation with my parents, my brother and his family, and my family. We had 6 adults and several little one 6 and under. The house was fabulous, very spacious - much more so than depicted, very clean, and well stocked. We were pleasantly surprised by the beach chairs and toys and all the linens.

The balconies are amazing - you can always find a spot in our out of the sun. It is a wonderfully short walk to the pools, pavilion, and beach. For our family with little ones the beach was amazing as it had several little 'pools' of water where the kids could safely play without concerns of the tide. (Not the most beautiful beach, but perfect for our family!)

I highly recommend the location and this particular house to anyone! The whole time we were there we kept commenting to each other that the house and location were perfect! We walked to a park with a nice playground and there were also several restaurants within walking distance.

Patrick was very pleasant to interact with as well!

Lovely cottage!

My husband and I rented Satilla "Cottage" for the month of February. (Cottage usually denotes small, but this is a large and spacious home.) We rent all over the US on month-long adventures and found this to be one of the nicer places we've ever stayed. It is evident this is a well-loved second home. It is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and beds, a kitchen with everything you'll need to cook great dinners, a new, high-end grill, and a great location about a mile from all kinds of good restaurants and shopping. Although we didn't get to use the pool area (because of the cool weather), it was lovely and very inviting! Absolutely loved walking the beach, which is steps away from the pool area, and hiking along the salt marshes. The home was spotless when we arrived. We had two sets of guests (older couples) and they enjoyed the downstairs bathrooms and bedrooms. Keep in mind if you're older that there are two sets of stairways to reach the (spacious, comfortable) master bedroom on the third level. Also, we were able to find sunshine on one of the several porches any time of the day. Highly recommend this as a high-end, well-maintained, comfortable rental!

Great Place to Stay

We could not have been more happy with this home and our stay! The clean home comes with everything you need! It is on a perfectly laid out street! Just a few steps away from two clean pools and a beautiful beach! We are already trying to figure out when we can get back!

Satilla Cottage, St. Simons Island GA

The cottage was spacious, well appointed furnishings and décor. The full service kitchen provided ample space to make and serve meals. The laundry facilities and bbq were also great to have available. There was a great supply of linens and beach towels for our use. All the beds were comfortable for good night sleeps. The exterior was well maintained as well as the overall community from pools to garbage collection. Overall a great stay.

Love Satilla Cottage!

House is beautiful, clean and comfortable! With 5 porches, I was able to find a place in or out of the sun at all times of the day. The breeze made it very comfortable even in August! The manager was very easy and pleasant to work with. We rode our bikes to the village for dinner and shopping.
