About Linda

I always knew that someday I would live on Whitefish Lake. My grand parents used to run a cabin resort named 'Win-na-kee Cottages' during the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Most of the grand kids came every summer to spend weeks making beds, renting boats, cleaning cabins, mowing lawns and just enjoying being around the lake. I dreamed of some day having my own home on the Lake and now I do.My home was built in 2006. I love to share it with families so they can also create the same kind of memories that last for generations. I love it here ! All seasons are wonderful. I will do everything I can to make your stay the best vacation you ever had.

Linda purchased this house in 2006

Why Linda chose Montana

The memories from my childhood lured me here my entire life. When you arrive in Whitefish you are engaged with energy from the beautiful surroundings and all of the water that surrounds you. The Whitefish River is just across the bay and is so fun to canoe or tube down. The ducks and geese and even an occasional river otter, are all along the banks. Use your imagination and explore all the rivers, streams, creeks, and especially all the lakes in the area. The eclectic town of Whitefish appears small but is large in what it has to offer. The privacy of the property lends itself to relaxing, picture taking and sharing experiences with your family in a spectacular setting.

What makes this house unique

This cottage is on the East end of the Lake. It is withing walking distance to town and City Beach. It has a private driveway. The cottage is almost sitting on the lake shore. It is very private and the wildlife is everywhere. The furnishings and the things this house has to offer will help make your experience almost perfect. The large covered decks that surround the house, give you many ways to spend your vacation time. There are two picnic tables on the lawn. Move them around between the sun and shade. They are so fun to have for family use. Enjoy a game of horseshoes or even soccer. Just relax, and enjoy. Lay on the dock, listen to the water and nature noises. Take pictures of all the animals that wonder on and off the property. When you leave Whitefish, you will not have to take a vacation from your vacation. You will feel rested and renewed with all that you have experienced here.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your place is the epitome of what a house on the Lake should be. We had a great time, the only regret was the we did not stay for another week. With Glacier Park so close and Big Mountain, with all its adventures, and your beautiful cottage on the Lake, we had the best vacation ever. The August weather was so warm and the cool Lake and all the activity it provides could have kept us busy for the entire summer. The kids enjoyed all the water activities so much, I am sure we will come back. Our vacation at your gorgeous spot was everything we had hoped for.

Beyond Amazing!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This property was top notch. From the interior decor and the comfort to the exterior. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return as soon as possible. Linda, the owner is such a great person and makes sure you have everything you need. Loved the kitchen setup and the top notch cookware. The firepit was sheer enjoyment, we loved having a fire every night and roasting marshmellows. The best house on the lake as far as we're concerned. The location was A+, close enough to walk to town if you wanted to.

Whitefish Spectacular

  • 5 of 5

We have rented this house countless times. It is pure perfection. The setting is amazing, the house is extremely well-appointed (including the kitchen, which we really appreciate as people who love to cook). Linda is the best owner on the beach - the love and attention to detail that she puts into the property, is obvious from the moment you arrive. We love it, our kids love it and our guests always have a great time.

Busy family of 5

  • 5 of 5

This house was absolutely perfect for our summer Vacation. We enjoyed the lake toys and spent many hours taking in the view on the decks! The house is perfect for families as they have stocked it with enough dishes for bbqing and even baking a homemade cake. The blankets are plentiful and there is quite a movie selection for relaxing in the evening. My kids enjoyed soccer on the lawn and many campfires in the evenings! We dined in town on a few occasions and we're always very pleased with the atmosphere! It's a fun place to visit and I am looking forward to returning over and over again.. We did rent the jet skis over at the lodge one day and my teenagers had a blast exploring the lake.. The lake was always so wide open and easy for boating and kayaking! Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us for a week of relaxation and fresh Montana Air.. We will be back soon..

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This is our family’s home-away-from-home when we visit the Glacier National Park area. We’ve stayed twice, and look forward to going back. The location is wonderful, whether you’re visiting the park, spending time at Whitefish Lake, Big Mountain, or exploring other parts of the Flathead Valley. The property is beautifully situated – convenient to town and to the highway, but tucked away on the lake, with a lovely, generous lawn separating the house from the water. The house itself is extremely comfortable – an ideal spot to spend your days relaxing when you aren’t in the mood to explore the area. Although it’s very cozy, there is plenty of room and privacy for our family of four. The owner, Linda, is welcoming, hospitable, and responsive, and has appointed the property with everything you need to stay in and cook and to enjoy the lake. We can’t wait to go back.

perfect paradise

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was as perfect as it could be. From the moment you walk in the door and see the views of the lake, it makes you never want to leave. The cottage was immaculate and very well stocked. The owner, Linda, is a gem herself and makes sure your stay is nothing short of perfect. My daughter and I made this our trip before she went off to college, and I'm sure we will never forget it.
