My wife and I and our large family had a wonderful time. Annette was great to work with and very accommodating. We highly recommend this place.
I give my stay at Brackett Creek Inn 5 stars, it was more than I could have hoped for, a beautiful, peaceful, well maintained facility, and the grounds well you just have to see it. Annette and her staff were outstanding, going above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect, would highly recommend .
A relative of mine booked this place for a family reunion. There are some good aspects and some bad.
-The location is beautiful. It is quiet, easily accessible and about 30 minutes from Bozeman but definitely in the mountains. We saw deer and turkey on the property pretty much every day.
-The kitchen in the large guesthouse is a normal size family kitchen with pretty much everything you need.
-The main "family room" can hold 15-20 pretty easily. There are tables for eating and couches for about 10. The furniture is something typical of a cabin...not contemporary or upscale.
-There is a lot of room for guests. We didn't use the reception area but it could be used for a wedding reception very easily.
-Half the rooms are set up like dorm hall rooms. They are walled in with doors.
-The linens were clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable.
-The rooms in the reception half of the lodge were either refinished horse barn rooms with Dutch doors or alcoves with privacy curtains as doors. The horse barn rooms don't have door knobs so once they are closed and locked there is no way to open them from the outside. The alcove room curtains have four separate curtains so there are gaps between the curtains which makes it difficult to have any visual privacy. There is no audible privacy due to the curtains which is tough during a family reunion.
-My biggest complaint is that the walls in the horse barn area don't go all the way to the ceiling. There is a 1-3" gap between the walls and ceiling so we could hear any sort of whispering in the room next to us.
-Even worse, there was the same gap between the last room and the bathroom. The last thing you want is to hear and smell the bathroom in your bedroom.
-You should know that there is also an expectation that the guests will clean the facility including pull linens off the bed, clean the kitchen and even wash the dance dance floor.
While there were good things about the property, it is handled more like a youth retreat center than a vacation rental. I can accept that there are certain cleaning expectations, but the lack of privacy was something that would keep me from coming back.
We booked the Brackett Creek Inn to house family and friends for a wedding held at Bridger Bowl. We found Annette very accommodating. The Inn is in a fantastic location we saw elk and bear near the lodge every day. Annette manages the Inn differently than other VRBOs we have utilized, not bad, just different. One more child to go, we may be back.
I've now stayed at the Brackett Creek Inn enough times to call it my home away from home! I've gone there just for spiritual retreat, to rest and recoop, and for creative getaways. This January, I went for a lone writer's retreat and got my entire book outlined and roughly drafted. Between the natural beauty, the easy access to hiking, the set apart-ness from the city (with its wonderful distractions), and quiet peacefulness of the house and property, I had lots of inspiration and got loads of work done. Annette is super intuitive about making a space where you feel safe and undisturbed, but you know she's right there if you need anything. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!!
My son and I stayed at the Brackett Creek Inn for a weekend ski trip. We had a great time. The skiing was great and accommodations were perfect. Skied all day, followed by dinner, ping pong and movies at night. Annette was terrific, always happy to help. Took snowmobiles on the trails one day, lots of fun. We can't wait to come back! Hopefully next month...
We are surrounded by state and BLM land with nearby access to thousands of acres, rich with trails for hiking, horseback riding, lakes or Mountain Biking. Our 'Claim to fame' is our property with 70 acres and has fantastic and majestic quiet solitude, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges. We have Brackett Creek on the property which has been raved as a well stocked fishing stream by those with a fishing pole, and as a great place to take a dip. We have great sledding hills and as you can see from the pictures, campfires, hiking & playing in the snow...
