Glen Ellen Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

Farmhouse, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country, our Glen Ellen farmhouse is the perfect spot to spend your next relaxing get-away. This restored home boasts 4 bedrooms and two full baths, both with vintage claw foot tubs. The huge master with king size bed sports wrap around windows overlooking the 1+ acre parcel. The home has been furnished in early California-style by Sarah Anderson, owner of Chateau Sonoma and an esteemed local designer and antique dealer.

TOT#2743N

Acreage includes a new 20 foot by 45 in ground pool with spa, bocce ball court, play structure, trampoline as well as a second spa located off of the master bedroom. In addition, the guest cottage is included in the rental and sleeps up to four comfortably and includes a full bath.

Bed configuration is as follows:

Master Bedroom -- King Bed

Upstairs Blue -- Queen Bed

Upstairs Pink -- Full Bed

Downstairs -- Two Twin Beds in Trundle Set Up

Cottage -- Queen Bed and Full Size Futon

And the best part... You can leave your car keys and walk to everything! Glen Ellen's best restaurants, The Fig Cafe, Glen Ellen Inn, Olive and Vine, Glen Ellen Star, Yeti and the Garden Court are all less than a 10 minute walk away. The Glen Ellen Village Market (think smaller, more reasonable Whole Foods) is even closer, as is the Jack London Saloon, our local watering hole. Up for some winetasting? Benzinger Family Winery, Andalussa and Eric Ross Winery are all walking distance too. Over 30 other wineries within a 15 minute radius.

How about a hike or a run? Jack London State Historic Park at 1,400 acres with 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails is located just a mile up the road. Sonoma Valley Regional Park is located a mile in the opposite direction with mostly flat trails.

Perfect Sonoma Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 7 stay at the farmhouse just before Labor Day Weekend for a wedding. Our stay was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to come back! The house is impeccably decorated, comfortable and charming. The owners have paid attention to every detail. There was plenty of room for all of us and then some - probably could have fit another 3 adults comfortably. The pool was absolutely stunning and a welcome retreat after lots of wedding events to attend. The front porch was so relaxing in the morning, sipping a cup of coffee and watching the wildlife. The location couldn't be better - literally walking distance to downtown Glen Ellen - but hidden in the hills so it's not noisy or busy. The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. We really look forward to staying here again!

Glen Ellen farm house and property

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 6 adults and 5 kids (9-14) absolutely LOVED this farm house and property! We never went anywhere, even though there are places to visit and shop nearby. Very well sited, and the pool is beautiful. We had many bocce tournaments and just lounged by the pool. My oldest did his best to domesticate the local lizard population. S'mores in the evening is a must. We would love to be back next year and we're all hoping it will be available.

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The backyard is amazing and the house is cute and cozy. Trampoline kept my kids busy all the time and the swimming pool is the best among all the vacation houses we have rented. The location is very convenient and close to everything. We will definitely recommend this house to others, especially family with kids.

Incredible!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with 9 other adults and 3 babies and it was a perfect place for us. We loved all the outdoor space and the hot tub! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the house is tastefully decorated. There never seemed to be a time when there wasn't enough room for someone to sit, nor did we ever feel cramped b/c there were so many options of places to relax outside. Although we rented in the area b/c of a wedding my friends and I hope to make this a yearly getaway together. You won't be disappointed with this beautiful spot. Thank you again Mike!

The PERFECT Sonoma getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a heavenly week in this wonderful home with friends and kids. From adults to little ones, everyone was delighted. The home is a beautifully restored old farmhouse with charming details like clawfoot tubs and bead board walls. One of our friends is an interior designer and she was loving it! The beds and linens were very comfortable and the house was really clean. We spent every evening outside under the big trees around a fire drinking wine from one of the local stores with a great selection of all-local wines. With the fire blazing, relaxing in the Adirondack chairs, little lights along the eaves of the house twinkling...we felt like we'd won the vacation lottery. Our kids burned off energy every afternoon on the playground and trampoline. We really loved that we could walk right into the small village of Glen Ellen to a great grocery store (with the aforementioned wine selection) and several good restaurants. The rest of Sonoma and even Napa are all an easy drive away. The owners gave us great suggestions on activities and restaurants. I couldn't recommend this idyllic retreat any more highly!

Perfect Glen Ellen Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse celebrating my 50th birthday - several couples plus kiddies. The property was perfect for us and the kids had a blast on the trampoline and play structure. The hot tub was a great option for those who wanted to soak and the grounds with bocce ball and horse shoes gave so many options for the adults. But most of all the house and guest cottage with their country charm and private setting made the weekend perfect. Everyone raved about how much they loved it. The photos of this property do not do it justice. It rambles and has such fun nooks and crannies. Cozy places to sit and enough space to roam. We hope to return again in the future.
