Lovely amentity filled home with views of Hood Canal.

This "cabin" is really a lovely, warm mini home. The kitchen is well appointed, the master bed is luxurious. The beautiful walk in shower was a treat! Every effort to make each room was noticed and appreciated. Comfy couches and chairs, and a masterful, large kitchen table was wonderful. The community is so quaint and quiet, with the oyster shell covered beach just steps away. Beth and Phil are delightful and available if you need anything to make your say more enjoyable.

Cozy Home during our visit of the Hood Canal and Eastern side of Olympic National Park

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful base for our kayaking, exploring and hiking adventure of the Hood Canal and surrounding area. Beth and Phil (who live across the street) were welcoming and were able to give us some great local insight of hiking trails and river waterways that gave our kayaking group some fun places to explore. The water in the Hood Canal itself was so warm, easy to swim in and I know I enjoyed watching the stages of the tides that rolled in and out and how the shoreline changed with 13 to 14 feet of elevation shifts between high and low tides. Cabin came stocked with the necessary linens, toiletries and plenty of both beach towels and bathroom towels. The couple and I that rented the cabin kept up with our laundry in the compact washer dryer unit located just off the master bathroom. Both showers could be used at once since each bathroom had it's own hot water tank/heater. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, pots and pans to be able to cook or even bake. Never even turned on the gas fireplace during our stay in early July, though I could image a stay in the late fall or winter would make that a nice, necessary warming touch. Internet was available and best signal was actually in the living room area next to the slider going outside to the porch. The porch was a great place to eat breakfast or enjoy an afternoon snack on the outdoor table and chairs and be able to look down toward the water. Quiet, private neighborhood, however, there is a daycare/church next door that had the kids enjoying themselves outside (happy kids do make a bit of cheerful noise) promptly at 8 am every day Monday-Friday during our stay. The parking next to the house was good for 2 large vehicles. We would definitely recommend this cute cabin for 2 couples using the master bedroom and the loft (the daybed in the nook next to the stairs, right off the kitchen is open to the living room). The stairs to go up to the loft are narrow and bit steep as they spiral up to the second story, so a person with some mobility issues might need to stay downstairs. We were fortunate to enjoy 10 days of fabulous, warm weather and actually did using the air conditioning units in the windows to cool the bedroom and loft down to sleep at night. Recommend side trips to the Olympic National Park, Tacoma Glass Museum, a stop by Gig Harbor and Bremerton if you are in the area and have extra days to drive and explore. Thanks Beth and Phil for a wonderful stay!

So cozy

  • 5 of 5

Everything was clean and comfortable. The bed in the master was awesome. The gas fireplace sure put out some heat and kept us toasty warm. Thank you for allowing us to check out late. My son is a sailor in Bangor and we had so much fun visiting. Wish we could've stayed longer! Hope to return when the weather warms up.

A great way to ring in the New Year!

  • 5 of 5

Our time spent at this property was amazing. It was a great get away from our busy working lives to relax in front of the fireplace with a view of the water. We rang in the New Year watching the space needle fireworks while enjoying the Christmas tree that was still up. The cabin was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We will definitely be staying again!
