We are a family owned home (the Kellers from Oregon and the Koenigs from Washington!) and we partner together in XL Properties, LLC to operate our vacation rental business. We enjoy the Cabin for rest and relaxation, a respite from our busy worlds, for creating great family memories and just having fun playing together at Hood Canal.

Beth and Phil Koenig purchased this cabin in 2006
"Cabin" is not an accurate description for these luxurious accommodations! Beth and Phil have thought of absolutely everything needed for an incredible experience. The kitchen is well outfitted with all cookware, dishes and utensils you could possibly need and of high quality. The linens and towels also of high quality and in good supply. Their furnishings and decor are of exquisite taste and comfort. I have worked for 26 years for a 5-Star, 5-Diamond Resort so know quality when I see it and this is it! They even have a full folder of maps and information of things to do, where to dine, where to shop on the dining table. Not only are the accommodations superb, but Beth and Phil are both very welcoming and responsive in all of our interactions with them. I highly recommend this true gem on the Hood Canal! We had a truly memorable family weekend getaway and can't wait to return!
This cozy cabin what the perfect place for us to stay for a weekend with another couple. We stayed over Christmas, and there was a gorgeous Christmas tree waiting for us when we arrived! Beth was helpful and communicative about the place, making check in easy. Beds are extremely comfortable (the master bedroom is a palace!) and the kitchen is fully stocked with every untensil, pan, etc. we needed to make Christmas dinner. We'll very likely be back.
This "cabin" is excellent - very well stocked, excellent beds, tastefully decorated, nice comfortable furnishings, great game closet and outdoor games as well. Linens were nice, there's towels for the beach in addition to good quality towels for the bath. There's even an outdoor shower! Very short distance to the beach - easily manageable by those with some mobility issues (ie: need to walk with a cane). So fun to go at low tide and then 6 or so hours later for high tide.
If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would! The house was lovely and very comfortable. You have everything you need and more! Beth and Phil.....what can I say but the most wonderful couple that you will ever meet! If you need anything they will get it....or take you to it! We had to catch a ferry to Seattle for make the Clipper to San Juan Islands and Phil & Beth got up at 5 AM to drive us to the ferry! (Great driving Phil). Was the most wonderful vacation and stay that o have ever had in a rental home. I highly recommend.....you won't be disappointed!
My family and I found this wonderful little cabin 3 summers ago when we spent a weekend with some friends nearby. The following summer we spent 3 weeks here and absolutely LOVED everything about it! For an A frame, they have a spacious master bedroom suite added on with a beautifully appointed bathroom with a walk-in shower! The kids loved the spiral staircase up to their crows nest hideout/bedroom loft area. The deck was wonderful for BBQ-ing and visiting with friends and neighbors. Phil and Beth were a pleasure work with and were extraordinarily helpful, especially when our little old power boat deciding to die on my birthday up at Alderbrook resort and they brought our trailer (45 min drive) out to save us! Our family loved the crabbing, digging for clams on the beach to soak and have for dinner and collecting/diving for oysters as the tides came in. The waters here climb to the 80's making even the adults enjoy happy hour 1/2 submerged in the colorful deck chairs with mojitos in hand or floating/swimming out to the swim platform with the kids. This year we are looking forward to spending a month relaxing in this little Diamond and are counting down the days till we launch our new boat and cast our pots out and let our hair down for 4 weeks! It's worth every penny - you get a beach holiday with warm waters, comfortable amenities and no plane tickets. I can't imagine a more perfect place! My only hesitation in writing a review is that when you find something so wonderful sometimes you just want to keep it to yourself!
The cabin was perfect for our visit with our family. The owners did a great job furnishing the cabin. The beds were very comfy, the place was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend it to others.
