About the property

Large spacious house for family and group gatherings. 5 minute walk to metro, restaurants, and pubs. The house is located on Cooper Circle in historic Ledroit Park. The National Mall, Capitol, Smithsonian Museums, and Chinatown are just 2 to 3 metro stops away. The White House is just 4 stops away.

This renovated rowhouse, originally built in the 1920's, has a large European professional kitchen open to the living room. Many historic details have been preserved like the original hardwood floors and ornate metal ceilings.

It's a walkable neighborhood with restaurants, a weekend farmers' market, organic dairy/market, and coffee shops. It's closer-in than Capitol Hill, but quieter than Dupont, Logan, or Georgetown.

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

I'm a little delinquent in writing my review, but definitely wanted to post one. Austin was great to work with and very easy to get a hold of. The house accommodated all of our out-of-town guests beautifully. House was equipped with everything we needed. Convenient location.

Nice house for large group

  • 4 of 5

This house was great for our spring break trip. It was in close proximity to the Metro and had great restaurants and bars within walking distance. There was also a grocery store within walking distance. The kitchen was nice and big so we were able to cook dinner in almost every night. There's a Park about a block and a half away which was great for the kids. The owner was very nice and responded quickly to all of my emails. Highly recommended!

Ledroit Park in Transition

  • 3 of 5

Upon arriving to this rental after staying in Alexandria it didn't even compare. Had to call owner to put batteries in smoke detectors and fix the bathtub drain in the first hour. Close to metro but the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Needs a lot of updating. Wouldn't recommend.

Great central location, very quaint neighborhood!

  • 4 of 5

Stayed in this property over Spring Break this year; The prettiest cherry tree in DC was in front of this property full of blooms! The backyard is super cute, although we mainly used it for snowman building etc.

The distance to the Metro is an enjoyable walk, and the small neighborhood grocery store, Ledroit Market, has enough of a selection of whatever you may need. The walk to Trader Joe's and Safeway was significantly longer...

The house stayed warm inside, even at night, and we had snow, sleet, rain, and very low temperatures. We had enough room for all eight of us to comfortably eat at the dining room table, and to relax and watch movies when the weather kept us in. The kitchen is very easy to move about in, and is pretty well stocked. Having 2-1/2 bathrooms was very nice, as was having a washer/dryer. This property sleeps 6-7 comfortably, IMO. Know that when eating out in this area, many places are smaller, and seat only 2 or 4 people, reservations required.

Wonderful House!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this house over the holidays - worked great for our family get together with 7 adults and an almost 2 year old. Well maintained older home with character - one of the best (if not the best) equipped kitchens we've had in a vacation rental. Nice size dining room so we could all sit down together for meals. Historic, walkable community and easy walk to the Metro. The host was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. The one caveat is you do need to go through one bedroom to get to another. This was fine for us as we were family and also expected that from the property description. Wish we could have stayed longer!

AMAZING!!!!

  • 5 of 5

First off, being that it was Thanksgiving I thought it would be very difficult to find a somewhat reasonable price to stay in a house in DC, but I was wrong. Austin helped me every step of the way. I had never rented on VRBO before so I was new to it all. The house was amazing and the pictures do it absolutely no justice. There were plenty of blankets, towels and everything you need as if you were staying at your own home. I really cannot express the memories shared at this house with my family staying with me and I can say we will DEFINITELY be staying again. I cannot express either how much Austin made the trip so easy for myself and my family. From my family to yours, Thank you very much. Loved the entire experience.
