About the property

Exceptional location, 4BR, 3 BA w 360-degree Views, sleeps 8 adults, 2 children

The Little Big Sky Guest Cabin sits on two private acres surrounded 360-degrees by the Spanish Peaks mountain range and views of Lone Peak - all with a river of its own along the stretch of the property. The ski slopes are just 8 miles from our home and Yellowstone Park is only a 40-minute drive. The cabin sits just one mile from the Big Sky Town Center/golf course yet it feels very private.

This is a rare site in that it includes over 700 feet of fishable river frontage on the West Fork of the Gallatin River. The site is only one mile from the fabled main Gallatin River (featured in 'A River Runs Through It') for fly fishing, hiking and Class 3 whitewater rafting.

While the cabin is located in the heart of the Big Sky Resort just minutes from countless activities yet the setting is very private and peaceful. The cabin is located just 15 miles to the Yellowstone Park border where bison, moose, elk and other wildlife may be seen. The Meadow Village is a half mile from the driveway and has a grocery store, playground and park, fishing pond and the main golf course. The new town center is just a mile away and features additional restaurants, shopping, outfitters and rentals.

For families with small children or infants: The stairway near the front entrance is where a child gate can be installed on the top landing only (not the bottom stair), so it is important that the bottom of the stairway is monitored carefully as the stairway is on the steeper side. There are about 4 stairs outside in the front deck entrance and the back deck as well along with a hot tub on site (tub is winter season only but special arrangement may be made for other seasonal use for a nominal fee), so extra caution is encouraged throughout the home and property. Requests for the child gate installation must be made with at least 2 weeks notice. Please submit requests here or call 1-866-995-4455 to inquire prior to check-in.

Our home is not baby-proofed or toddler-proofed, so please make sure your party is aware they will need to take sensible safety measures. While the river is a steep climb down a hill and is a safe distance from the home itself, there are steep sections of the hill where adequate supervision is recommended.

Our home is comfortable and well-equipped, and we have many families stay with us. We like to ensure families with younger children consider all the responsibilities involved and note that practicing such supervision is the full responsibility of the guests.

About Paul Brourman

Little Big Sky Cabin is near to our hearts as we celebrate our third decade of visiting Big Sky as an extended family. We pride ourselves in our vacation home and are looking for caring, responsible families or groups that will treat it as a special place of their own. We have had many families enjoy our property over the years and each has left a special note in our guest book. We look forward to your stay!

Paul Brourman purchased this cabin in 1998

Why Paul Brourman chose Big Sky

We always wanted a home in Big Sky after years of fishing there as a family. To us, the phrase, 'the last best place' applies to this region. And discovering our home ('Little Big Sky') gave our family the piece of Montana we always desired to bring us back to our roots.

Activities include blue ribbon fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, scenic lift, biking, hiking, nearby playground and park, floating down the Madison River, golfing and horseback riding, zip lines... Winter activities: skiing (down hill) just 9 miles from the cabin, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sleigh rides.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin and setting are exceptional. You are literally surrounded by stunning mountain views and the sound of the river flowing near the house just adds to the ambiance of the location. Sitting on the large front deck and stargazing at nights are just two relaxing activities we enjoy. Fly fishing and wildlife viewing in your back yard.

Beautiful spot

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our days in Little Big Sky very much. Its well located, and secluded at the same time. Our kids were amazed to see a moose near the property.

Paul checked on us during our stay and check-in/check-out was very simple.

Highly recommended cabin!

Serene beauty, home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Perfection in every way. From the beginning, Paul was attentive and helpful.

The property is amazing. It is secluded and private, yet very close to town and many amenities.

The house was super clean, well organized and well appointed.

Wildlife in the yard was a treat, as was the river just steps away. The views of Lone Peak were stunning as well.

I highly recommend this property!

Owner's Response: Ashley, So pleased you all enjoyed your stay! Always fun to spot wildlife in the yard. We had a deer decided to camp out this summer and sleep next to the garage in broad daylight. Take care and let us know anytime you want to visit again. Best regards, Paul

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Nice home in an extremely beautiful setting. Loads of activities to do within an hours drive. Small grocery store, restaurants and retail stores 5 minutes away. Adjacent stream can be accessed but the pathway to it is extremely steep (difficult with kids). Great house in a great location, would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful, comfy home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 6 nights recently with 9 people and had a wonderful time. The creek behind the house has lots of little trout, great for the kids. And amazing fishing for the adults is only a mile away on the Gallatin. We had three small kids with us who loved the fun activities in Big Sky. Highly recommended home!
