Aloha and welcome to the Big Island. We are thankful to Hawaii and its peoples for allowing us to work and play on this great island.

Kona Coast Vacations manages over 170 condos, homes and estates along the leeward (dry and sunny) side of the Big Island ( this island is named Hawaii, same name as the State). We are located right in Kailua Kona which is about 10 minutes south of the KOA (Kona) international airport. Most people include Kailua Kona, Keauhou, Kahaluu, and Holualoa, under the umbrella of the name Kona. We also have team members living near the resort area ( about 25 minutes north of the airport) which include Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Hali'i Kai, Waikoloa Beach Resort (near the coast), Waikoloa Village (up mountain, about 15 minutes from the coast), etc.

Our team of inspectors check the property before your arrival, after you depart, and we inspect the cleaners. If something is amiss, please let us know immediately on arrival and we will address your concerns ASAP. We are open seven days a week to assist guests and owners. We offer a concierge service, we have maps and recommendations on our web site and are here to answer your questions.

The rental at Casa de Emdeko was just like the photos. Very big and clean with plenty of amenities. We cooked one meal in and had everything we needed. We used one one of the communal grills and found it very easy to go back and forth from the room since it was located right outside the room. The pool and beach were perfect for when we did not want to drive to find a beach. And not crowded at all. There are many shoreline access points nearby though. It is a little far to walk to the shops/restaurants in Kona but that was not a issue for us. We did have some AC issues during our stay. Management was responsive and even brought us some fans. We found cell phone service was non-existent inside, I assume because of the building construction type. It was easy to hook up to the internet and use that for phone calls (or go outside). Wi-fi was great throughout the apartment. I would recommend this place!

We found the unit just as described. There was plenty of room for the four of us, the kitchen was well stocked with amenities, wifi was fast, and the outdoor space is terrific. The location of the unit on the ground floor near the bbq station, pool and sandy area was ideal for us. We loved watching the sun go down, grilling and eating outside! Housekeeping did a nice job. Everything was clean and in order when we arrived. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is a musty smell and the carpets in the bedrooms could use updating, but all in all we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Location was good. Very quiet in the evenings. The building property was clean and pretty. The actual unit#136 was a nice large condo. Plenty of room. I would suggest that the owner put some money towards cleaning. Like shampoo the bedroom carpets, have the floors mopped and coat of fresh paint would be a huge improvement. The room smells pretty bad if the Windows are closed. Very musty smelling. Just needs some TLC. Also I think they could spring for a new bed.

the condo and Casa De Emdeko property was ideal for what we wanted. We were able to go everywhere easily. While some upgrades to the condo would be appreciated, it was very clean. I would definitely go back. Wonderful to eat in the commons area and watch the whales. Everyone was very friendly.
