Unit completely renovated by professional decorator - everything is brand new! All the comforts of home in an incredible tropical environment. Sanibel Island has miles of beaches featuring the best shelling in Florida. There are miles of bike and jogging paths throughout the island. Shops and fine restaurants are plentiful. Golf courses are pristine. Our condo has a wooden deck overlooking the Sanibel River and the golf course(across the river). All this provides a beautiful view of lush vegetation, exotic birds, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets. In this setting our condo provides picnic tables and gas grills for your use.
Our condo unit is newly remodeled and within walking distance (3 minute walk) to the Gulf of Mexico and its beaches. Our second story unit (we do have an elevator) has 2 bedrooms (one queen bed and two twin beds), two full size bathrooms, washer/dryer in unit, fully equipped kitchen with dining room, living room, lanai with seating area and a lovely view. There are TVs in both bedrooms and living room with cable, DVD, and VCR. We also have a sound system. A heated swimming pool and tennis court are available for your use at no charge.
JN Ding Darling Nature Preserve and an outstanding shell museum along with Tarpon Bay Ecological Center (kayaking available) offer a unique experience in the nature and wildlife of the island.

After college I lived in Miami for a couple of years and really got to know South Florida. There is nothing close to Sanibel Island - you simply can't beat it.
From the moment you drive across the bridge to the island, your senses are aroused. The smell of the ocean, the breathtaking views, all of the ships and sailboats and the dolphins, which you will absolutely see on multiple occasions.

Just a short walk across the street to the beach. Having access to grills to cook out was great. The deck overlooking the canal was a great spot for lunch every day. This location was very quiet in the evenings.
We booked this rental many months in advance and from the start David, the owner was very accommodating in answering our questions. He did not badger us once we made the enquiry and he uses paypal which is great as we travel from outside the US and need to have the reassurance that this is a genuine rental. Anyway, this place is GREAT and as some previous renters have testified, the photos don't do it justice. This is a large apartment in a block of 23 and so you are not overwhelmed by large numbers. The rooms are big, their are modern appliances, two good TVs, lots of equipment in the kitchen, good quality furnishings with muted tone walls. The apartments are just across the road from the beach and about 2 miles or so from the main restaurant area. As this was our first time on Sanibel we didn't know layout of the island but generally the hotels and apartments are along the coast and restaurants on periwinkle road - it's easy to cycle with paved cycle ways although these are not lit at night anywhere on the island, so if you prefer to cycle than drive remember to bring lights - also it's the state law. The pool is small but the temperature wonderful, and it was never crowded with all guests respecting each others' space. Ideal place to have a rest, walk in the beach and enjoy. Loved it.
This condo was a perfect home base for relaxing in between our adventures on Sanibel. My family of four (including two young kids) stayed in this condo and we loved it! The condo was lovely, comfortable and very clean, and it was nice to be in a small, quiet complex. The pool at the condo was on the smaller side, but very clean and very warm -- it was fantastic! We appreciated being able to walk the short distance to the beach, and having a small market across the road to grab milk or other necessities. We also liked having access to laundry in the condo complex. David (the owner) was friendly, very easy to work with, and answered a couple of questions we had on our arrival very quickly. Sanibel is a fantastic destination for families -- nice beaches, shelling, biking, nature-related activities, etc. -- and this condo is a great place to have as a home base!
David is a most gracious, helpful host. We had questions upon questions and he always responded quickly and helpfully. He even came by on a moment's notice to help us figure out the cable TV! The home was clean, comfortable, and furnished with all we needed.
The backyard/lounge area was lovely and relaxing. We saw iguanas and alligators and birds galore. The grill was very nice, and the other residents very generous and gracious with advice and conversation. Location is perfect, with easy access to the beach and easy bike rides to other beaches and all attractions.
