Fantastic, relaxing location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property from the moment we arrived. The apartment was private, relaxing, and perfectly appointed with everything you might need for long weekend or even a extended stay. Relaxing in the porch in the hammock while listening to the birds chirp and soaking on the view was magical. If we didn't have so many things we wanted to see, we could have just have easily stayed in. Jackie was a wonderful host and really took great care to ensure the property was well-appointed. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Comfy place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was exactly what we were looking for. Comfy, quiet, clean, and Jackie is very sweet, too! We wanted somewhere that was Asheville adjacent but still a quiet get away. This place was perfect. The bed is comfy, the living room is cozy but open, the kitchen and bathroom feel modern and clean, and the deck has a nice view and plenty of places to chill outside. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place in the area!

Jacqueline was very kind and made us feel very welcomed!!

  • 4 of 5

When we arrived Jacqueline was there to meet us. She was informative about the area and had a basket full of literature. If you want to see Biltmore Estates and the Blue RIdge Mountains this a good place to stay. The apartment is very nice and is the lower level of her home. The queen size bed was comfortable but the pillow were very firm and flat. There was food and bathroom supplies from past guest that needed to be thrown out. The furniture was nice and there was a large pretty rug in front of couch We didn't have much of a view due to overgrown bushes in front of deck. Overall it was a good value and would recommend if in the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for letting me know about the pillows. This was helpful and we just bought new ones. The condiments are in the refrigerator as a courtesy, such as mustard and balsamic vinegar, that most guests appreciate. In the bathroom we have pump soap as well as samples for those who prefer. Our deck is 48 feet long. About 16 feet has some blackberry bushes and the rest is clear. Homeaway suggests that we leave items out for guests to convey hospitality. Just wanted to address your comments to clarify. I am always available to guests for any communication so I'm sorry you didn't bring this up while you were here.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This place is a real treasure! It is beautifully designed and decorated, completely private and peaceful, and provides a true respite from the busy world. Everything about the apartment feels intentional and caring: from the many artistic touches (wood finishing, lighting, decorative pillows and linens), to the truly comfortable furniture, to the sleek, modern kitchen area, you sense that the space was designed with welcome and comfort in mind. In addition, it is kept in immaculate condition. Jackie is a kind host - easy to communicate with, there when you need her - who respects her guests' need for privacy. I will return often to this beautiful, peaceful setting.

Awesome little place... and VERY CLEAN!

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled with this little place for our long weekend retreat...I got away with hubby for four days and was able to have him all to myself! We loved the views and the decorating details makes it feel like home away from home! Jackie did a fantastic job of providing an up to date and comfortable place to stay. It is BY FAR the cleanest place we have ever rented and everything you need is there!

We found it to be far quieter and far more private than a hotel room, and we didn't have to worry about housekeeping trying to get in while we relaxed and read books inside. Our only regret is that we didn't get to use the porch because the temps got chilly and we needed to stay inside...

There are little touches all over the place that welcome you and help you to feel at home...there were even to pieces of artwork on the walls by my favorite artist! The kitchen is fabulous and outfitted very well!

Jackie, we are so grateful for your gracious hospitality, (and for answering all of our questions about the chickens) and for the kindness in which you received us. I enjoyed hearing some of your stories!

I highly recommend this rental...especially for a couple's retreat...FANTASTIC!

OUR 4TH TIME BACK!

  • 5 of 5

We have happily stayed in this great vacation rental a total of four times so far and look forward to our next visit this coming year! Our son attends Emory University and after discovering this rental, on a curious trip to Asheville a few years ago, we find ourselves looking forward to our next visit, as though we are returning to the home of an old friend who welcomes you warmly.

We stayed twice this year, May 4th-7th, and then we returned with our son for a few days after his exams (May 11th-13th) who had not visited before. He loved the apartment, the city of Asheville etc! The only regret I have is not writing a review sooner!

The Place

Pictures say a thousand words; it is exactly as imaged but even more so; the peacefulness, not one thing forgotten within the apartment helping to make each stay relaxing and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoy the quiet and privacy of each visit. The apartment is incredibly clean, has all amenities (green products, no chemicals and extremely comfortable bed!). The owner Jackie has paid attention to every detail from beautiful woodwork to green products- not to mention, the absolutely delicious organic fresh eggs!

This retreat is the perfect compliment to a busy day in Asheville, hiking, zip lining, skiing, etc. - what ever your purpose. It is approximately 20 minutes from Asheville center and is a great way to recuperate; the natural beauty of the area, the healthful climate and proximity to Asheville and its city attractions make this location a perfect place. The town of Weaverville is a charming- “time stand still” main street- a town to be discovered – don’t miss the Well-Bred Bakery & Café! It is the perfect small town big city combo.

Whether you are visiting a friend near by, have a special occasion to attend, a music lover (Asheville is well known for the music scene), craft beer enthusiast, hiker, nature adventurer, or just someone who enjoys discovering places and travels, we can highly recommend this great HomeAway rental for you and, like us, you will leave with a smile and a desire to return again.

Thank you Jackie!
