Nice and cosy cottage
We (2 adults) enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is as depicted. It is located one block off the main road, hence it is quiet. The bus stop is just at the corner so you do not need a car to go downtown. Ashley is a great host and he gave us wonderful advice. In fact, he provides a booklet and maps and explains everything one needs to know. Overall, the property is well-maintained and clean. It is a bit unfortunate that the WLAN is rather slow, but this is due to the limited connection speed in Bariloche. If one visits Bariloche, this is a great place to stay.
Nice cottage in a beautiful location
The cottage is located on kilometer 5.7 and right off the bus stop. It's very handy for getting in to town or walking to a few of the fabulous restaurants near the house. One of the best is just a block away! My husband was in Spanish school while we were there and it was also very close. The house has 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 bathroom downstairs (with heated floors!) The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We stayed for 3.5 weeks and were very happy with the house and the location and Bariloche. We were sad to leave! Thanks to Ashley, the owner, for being very helpful and making our stay perfect!
A great spot!
My husband and I spent 5 weeks in this charming cottage from the beginning of March. The photos were exactly as it was. It had everything that we needed, the beds were very comfortable, the place was immaculate and well maintained, the kitchen equipped well, the asado was there, although not used by us, and very convenient to town. Ashley was full of information about what to do and where to go. He was a big help to us in renting a car and changing our money as well as any other question that we had. The cottage is in a nice neighborhood and the bus stops right around the corner. The cottage is located just outside of town so it is quiet yet near restaurants(walking distance) including our favorite, The Salamander.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Bariloche.
Great House, Greater Host
We stayed at Charming Cottage in Bariloche for a week in February 2012 and had a great experience. The house is clean, well appointed and a good distance from everything we wanted to do. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to make meals and there is a parrilla out back for your use (although we didn’t take advantage of this perk.)
The owner, Ashley, was a wealth of information and we used his advice in planning for the week. He was available and helpful whenever we had questions about the house and his friendly disposition made us feel welcome and at ease. He has a book full of maps and information about the area with suggested hikes, restaurants, etc. This was very helpful for us, especially because we have two young kids and it was great not to have to do too much research about the area. The house is located off the main avenue and on a quiet street with a kids’ play structure on the lot at the end. This was a big bonus for our kids and safe for them to play at on their own.
Overall we had a great visit at Charming Cottage and would definitely stay there again.
