This new, spacious, 1700 square foot, Grayfox Townhome on Hillside Drive has been professionally designed and fully furnished with the finest decor, furniture, bedding, and amenities for your vacation enjoyment. It is equipped with luxury features as found in multi-million dollar custom homes or Five-Star hotels.

LOCATION - LOCATION- LOCATION - Drive to Mammoth and park your car. Located across from the Westin Hotel & amenities, only a 3 minute walk to Mammoth Village and the Gondola, Ski Rentals, Ticket Office, Shops, Restaurants, Entertainment, Coffee Shops, and activities... yet in a very private cul-de-sac setting away from the noise and congestion of the Village.

Your own Private two-car garage includes a separate heated ski and boot room for storing all your skis, snowboards and bulky toys. A private outdoor spa on your private deck. There are three large suites and three full baths. Two Bedrooms have Queen beds and a King bed in the Master Suites.

The sectional queen sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional comfortable sleeping, with a memory foam topper. This end-unit townhome will accommodate eight people comfortably.

The gourmet granite kitchen is fully equipped with everything the fussiest chef could ask for. All the appliances are stainless steel. The counters in the kitchen and all the baths are slab granite and custom design tile. An outdoor barbecue is easily accessible just off the living room on your second view deck.

Restrictions: No pets

Why Karen Mitchell chose Gold Country / High Sierra

Our family loves to enjoy the outdoors and loves to snow ski, snow board and bicycle. We purchased this unit to be able to enjoy quality family time together in a fun environment. The location is fantastic, for all age groups. We have 2 teenagers and a daughter in college and they have the ability to walk to the village to meet other kids their age, or take the free shuttle around town. If it is snowing, no problem. You can walk to Gondola-300 feet away. You can walk across the street to the Westin for a reasonable gourmet breakfast, and at night walk to at least 10 different restaurants and have truly some of the most amazing food. On a budget, Gomez Mexican restaurant in the Village has great food and excellent margaritas!

What makes this townhome unique

I park my car and the next time I start the vehicle is to leave. Everything is within walking distance. The place is beautiful and one instantly relaxes and goes into vacation mode. I open the beautiful wood blinds on the windows to look out at the beautiful scenery. My kids and I have the freedom to be on our own schedules as a result of great location, and keyless entry access to unit.

This place is dirty!

This condo is dirty and extremely dusty. The floors were filthy. We were constantly stepping on stuff. Our beds and pillows had TONS of hair from the last family. At a glance, it seemed clean because everything was in it's place, but this place was just gross. The furniture was too big for the space. This place is not well kept. We couldn't wait to leave.

Owner's Response: Melanie, I am so sorry you experienced this and that this issue was not raised during your stay, so the owner of the cleaning service could have rectified it immediately. There are very few services available in Mammoth to handle the cleaning volume of all the rental units located there as we discussed over phone. Your comments when you left were shared directly with the owner of the service and he stated he discussed your comments with his entire staff. I am hopeful, that this situation will not occur again. My niece will be up at our unit this weekend and she has agreed to meet personally with the owner on my behalf if the unit is not up to the standard we all expect from a cleaning service. I have also reached out to the group who stayed after you and the current group in unit to obtain their feedback on cleanliness of unit after your comments and will share their comments with the owner of cleaning service. Best Sleep I've had

This is truly a cabin that some thought went into. First of all, its got a heated boot room in the garage so you dont have to lug all your gear upstairs. A serious kitchen if you're cooking for baking. And best part was the bed in the master. The best sleep I've had in years. I would recommend this for any groups with couples. Each bedroom has one bed and a private bath.

Very nice place but expensive and rental agreement is a little crazy

This is a very nice unit, as described and everything works. Definitely on the expensive side and (at least in our rental agreement) required 50% non-refundable deposit at time of booking (which is basically insane.) In the future I'll try to book earlier so I have more choices so I can pick a unit with more sane deposit policy.

Fantastic Stay--Awesome Owners

The pictures don't do this home justice. It is impeccably decorated and spotless. Has the most comfortable beds of any hotel or rental we have ever stayed in. The owners are terrific--very responsive and Karen went the extra mile to help us with an issue over the holidays. The kitchen is fully stocked and the owners have left lots of little extras everywhere. The hot tub is wonderful and very clean. The home is super convenient to the Gondola and the village. Looking forward to staying again!

Great location and everything you could want in a vacation home

Just spent the past week in this wonderful property while attending a wedding in Mammoth Lakes. It was perfect for 3 couples and we had everything we needed except groceries to host a casual dinner for our extended family one evening.

The location is great. The Westin is directly across the street and it is only a short two block walk to the Village. Although there are not a lot of choices there for food we found some excellent options for breakfast and an occasional dinner. Plus the owners provided a nice list of additional Mammoth dining options with their information packet.

Back to the house, the owners have done an excellent job of thinking of all the details to make this not only a comfortable but easy place to spend a weekend or a week. The house is tastefully decorated and the includes a number of special touches that might go unnoticed. An example is the electronic locks on the front door. No matter how many people are staying in the house, you never have the problem figuring out who has the keys. It is those kind of details that make this house special.

The best recommendation we could give is that this house will be the first one we check if we have the opportunity to come to Mammoth Lakes again.

Damage protection can be offered through Home Away or $800 will be authorized as a deposit upon stay and released after check out as a separate transaction with owner or owner may opt to bill damage to credit card provided to VRBO or separately to credit card provided to owner.

Please note during ski season the rental is limited to the 2 parking spaces in the garage only. No outside parking is permitted and vehicles are subject to tow at RENTERS expense as the 2 spaces outside, available on first come first serve basis must be kept empty for snow removal equipment and extra snow storage space.

Note during weekly rental-Rate is good if it does not straddle 2 weekends. Straddle of 2 weekends requires one weekend at standard pricing.
