Welcome to our beach front home on the Island of Kauai!

Lae Nani is a beautiful resort located on the east side of Kauai, just south of Kapaa. Our location gives you easy access to the North Shore (Napali Coast) and South Shore (Poipu, Waimea Canyon) and access to stores and restaurants is within walking distance or a 5 minute drive.

This is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom completely renovated condo on the top floor of a 3-story walk-up building. Our location provides privacy from the other units and makes you feel like you are in your own world.

The master bedroom has a lanai (balcony) and faces the ocean, so you can't get any closer to the sound or view of the ocean. The second bedroom can be made up as two twin beds or one king.

There is a large lanai off the living room with lounge chairs and an outdoor table. The location of the condo means we watch the morning sun rise over the ocean with an amazing 180 degree view. In the afternoon the sun is behind us allowing the fans and trade winds to maintain comfortable temperatures (there is no air conditioning). The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you should you want to cook your meals at home.

We welcome families, providing lots of games and baby accessories including a portable crib and stroller. There is a large grassy area right out front and the sand is only about 75 feet away where there is a keiki (children's) pool, perfect for little ones to safely explore the ocean. There is a heated pool for use by all Lae Nani guests and we have a closet with beach gear that you are most welcome to use.

We provide free wireless internet and there is a television in the living room with cable, Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a stereo that will tune in to local radio stations or play music through your smart phone. We have keyless entry into the condo so you don't need to worry about losing a key. Parking is free and secured.

We welcome you as our guests and hope that you will make our condo your home away from home during your visit to the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai.

About Barb and Ric Berry

The unit is owned by Ric and Barb Berry and it was originally purchased by Ric's dad, Lang. Our office manager, Penny, does a fantastic job of managing the reservations and will always pass things along to us that need our personal attention. Ric is currently on the Board of Directors for Lae Nani and working on the preservation of some land we own on the north shore. Our kids have grown up loving Hawaii and our wish is that they will keep unit 535 in the family for generations to come.

This unit has been in the family since the original construction. Ric's father inspected the property prior to building and was advised by the developer to purchase our specific unit.

What makes this condo unique

The East side of Kauai (also known as the Coconut Coast) is unsurpassed in location and access to the rest of the island. The weather here is in between the wet zone (North Shore) and the dry zone (South Shore). Our unit is unique in that the master bedroom is directly facing the ocean and the feeling of privacy from the other units is unsurpassed. We have completed an extensive renovation and continue to update and maintain our unit, striving to create a Hawaiian feel with original artwork and restored local furniture.

The condo was in excellent condition very well equipped with all that you need for a nice Hawaiian vacation. The location works well- between the activities in the north and south and southeast. We found plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Beautiful. Tranquil. Paradise.

This unit was perfect...spectacular Ocean views. Everything was just as described. Great amenities. Building 5 is the best building, closest to the ocean with best view on the property. It was so quiet and tranquil there. No chickens to wake us up thankfully. We saw whales on our 2nd day there. Unfortunately, we were there during "The Missile Strike False alarm fiasco" on Jan 13, 2018. It was truly terrifying on our 3rd day on the island, but that was no fault of LaeNani. Thankfully the unit was in close proximity to the Kapaa Bikram Yoga Studio, because we could de-stress after that terrifying 45 minutes by attending class for 1 1/2 hours. Then return to relax on the beautiful Lanai. We loved the beach in front of the unit. The water at the beach in front of the unit was perfect for swimming and snorkeling with the best sand ever. My kids went there daily and loved the little tide pool area that formed naturally directly in front of building 5. The unit is so close to all of the local shops and markets in Kapaa, it was very convenient. We will miss those beautiful sunrises from the master bedroom and the sound of the waves... we will be returning soon. We left 4 beach mats, shovel and bucket and one boogie board for the next guests. Hope they enjoy. Thanks again for everything. Jackson Family from Los Angeles.

Wonderful condo.

The perfect home away from home

We could not have asked for a better place to stay while on Kauai. It is everything they say it is and it is really that close to the beach. Our family enjoyed the beach daily (in December). Waking up to the sunrise was amazing. Honestly I am trying to figure out how soon is to soon to go back - I will be staying at Lae Nani 535 again.

Lovely location, wonderful condo

This is the second time my sister and I have stayed in Barb and Ric's condo at Lae Nani and it was every bit as great as the first time. This trip we stayed eight nights. We are now in our early 70's so packing our luggage, groceries, etc. up the stairs takes a little more work and time but it is SO worth it! This building is the closest to the beach and furthest from the (potentially) noisy pool area. That and the top (third) floor location of this unit makes it (in our opinion) the best spot at Lae Nani. The master suite with its own deck is a jewel but you can also hear the waves from the back bedroom since you can leave the deck door open with just the screen in place. It's everything we wanted. Bernadette brought us a few missing items right away when we called her after our arrival and we are sure the small improvements we suggested when we checked out will be taken care of right away. Penny is on top of it! We appreciated the friendly and responsive communications as we made our arrangements and during our follow-up. We plan to return!
