Villa Taino and it's beautiful tropical grounds have been lovingly created and nurtured by it's artistic owners to give an air of peace and calm. The views possibly steal the show, but anyone can appreciate the time and care taken to collect the unusual and interesting artifacts and antiques that adorn every curve and corner of this elegant villa. While it has a tasteful Caribbean flair, Villa Taino also has a sumptuous comfort thanks to the beautiful, rich wood furniture, and bold use of color in the furnishings. The bedrooms are private and tranquil while the living areas are large, comfortable open spaces that flow into each other, making for an easy-going atmosphere whether you are friends or a family holidaying together. It’s commanding position on a ridge mean that Villa Taino is able to take advantage of the trade winds that wrap around the hillside.
The villa has a large driveway where a wooden gate bids you to enter. Inside the gate, the stunning pool and deck just beg for a good book and a cocktail, while admiring the elegant sailing yachts or sleek power boats out on the ocean in front of you. The main living area is on the porch next to the pool and consists of sumptuously cushioned oversize furniture and various seating arrangements, beneath a high, shingled, circular roof.
From the hallway, one can access the kitchen directly ahead. The kitchen is well equipped and provides a gas stove. A large opening in the wall through to the dining room makes preparing dinner and laying the marble-top table for 6, easy and enjoyable. Off the dining room is a separate porch with a teak table and a Weber gas grill for alfresco eating. Also accessed from the dining room is the library, housing the cable tv, a collection of games and DVDs and a music system. The Villa is equipped with a telephone with answering service for local calls, a cell phone for your use and wifi.
Back in the hallway, winding stairs lead to the two queen bedrooms. Both have large en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms have screened windows, mosquito netting over the beds, AC units (installed April 2016) and ceiling fans. In a separate wooden pavilion off the pool deck is the Master Suite, a large airy screened-in room with more breathtaking views to wake up to in your four poster king size bed!
Just minutes away is amazing snorkeling at Smuggler's Cove or leisurely strolls along the mile of white sand that is Long Bay.....Or for a change of scenery a sunset cruise aboard one of the daysail catamarans at nearby Soper’s Hole Marina is just a short drive from the villa.
The fact that Villa Taino has many repeat guests who are drawn back year after year is a testament to the comfort, the ambiance and of course the service that you will experience here!?

As managers of Taino, we work directly for the villa owners and live on Tortola full time, just a couple of miles from Taino in fact! We know the villas that we manage inside out; we can offer assistance with car rental, provisioning and anything else you might need; and we will be here to show you around the villa. We look forward to meeting you!
Oh my gosh, what a fabulous home you have and we have fallen in love with your beautiful island. Our stay could not have been batter and we're so grateful for your gracious hospitality. Hate to leave but look forward to coming back.
This place is like a dream! Our first visit to BVI will not be our last! We all fell in love with the islands and this gorgeous villa! The views were breathtaking! The place was nicely decorated reminiscent of a beach house which is just what you want when visiting the Caribbean! We spent New Year's Eve on top of the world!
This was our first trip to the BVI's and I'm so glad I decided to stay on Tortola and specifically at Villa Tiano! The views are breath taking and the house had everything we needed for our week long stay. My boys and I explored the island on our own and there are several beautiful beaches but our favorite spot was Smuggler's Cove. The drive to the villa is a bit of a challenge at first, but after a couple trips up and down the mountain we were pros. Bananakeet was our favorite dinner out but we honestly preferred staying in and cooking ourselves. Sharlene was very helpful with all of our questions, as was Sam prior to our arrival. Renting the car was easily arranged and it was waiting for us at the ferry. This was a very special trip for my boys and I; we will forever treasure our memories.
Stunning views, gorgeous pool and outdoor area, beautiful house overall. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. A very relaxing vacation; didn't need to go sightseeing as we've been to Tortola many times before, so spent most of our time at the villa. Couldn't beat Sam & JC (the managers) and Lorna (the cleaning woman). The only complaint we have is that we can't get back there soon enough.
My wife and I have been coming to Tortola for 20 years, and have stayed in at least 10 different houses/villas in the Belmont area. This year we had the great fortune of five weeks at Taino during late January and early February. Even after an extended stay, it was exciting to wake up there every morning. The owners are delightful people with whom we socialized several times, and Sam and her crew stay on top of everything. The view from Taino is the best of all the places we have stayed, and the pool is fabulous and large enough for actual lap swimming. Best of all Taino is convenient to everything so it is ideal if guests only have a week to spare. Beaches five minutes away, and no real need to travel all the way to Road Town for groceries, as the Harbor Market in West End has probably all you will need at the same prices as the RT Riteway. A good selection of close by restaurants, as others have mentioned, although you may want to pass on Bomba's for dinner. We would highly recommend Taino for anyone who wants to experience the best of Totola, while enjoying a truly remarkable location.
Tortola is a beautiful island and the perfect place to island hop. We ventured out each and every day and looked forward to returning to "our" villa and the beautiful infinity pool each evening. We loved the master suite being separated from the main house - perfect when you have two teenage boys along! Each and every day was paradise at the villa with the amazing views of Jost, Sandy Cay and Long Beach. I truly cannot say enough about this villa from the rental process to the managers to the housekeeper and pool guy - everyone was very professional and attentive. If Tortola is in our travel plans in the future, Villa Taino will be at the top of my list!
My husband and I just returned from Tortola after spending a week with two other couples at Taino. We arrived at Taino at night and so when we awoke and witnessed the views in the morning, we were all blown away. It was the most breathtaking view of Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay and Sandy Spit beyond the infinity pool. Three of the mornings we awoke to double rainbows due to the light morning showers. The villa was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and well stocked. The trade winds provided a nice breeze which kept us cool as we slept in the comfortable beds. Sam and JC were very attentive to our needs, even meeting our grocery delivery person at the villa prior to our arrival so we could unwind with some cold Caribs from our long trip. I highly recommend Taino!
