a great stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a quaint cottage in great location. Walking distance from everything. Clean and very open for a smaller space. Plenty of room for the three of us. Everyone was super nice and I would definitely rent with them again.

Awesome place to stay in Ptown!

  • 5 of 5

The Cottage is a wonderful place to stay in while in Provincetown. I rented this with a friend for an event week in Provincetown in July.

This also was my first HomeAway rental, so I was a bit nervous initially doing this. I really lucked out because I don't think I could have had a better experience. The owners were very prompt to reply and extremely easy to work with and answer any questions you may have about the rental or renting process. It really was a breeze to work with them.

The location was awesome, since we were there for an event, being near everything was key. This place filled it. This place is about a 2-4 minute walk to the Boatslip.. 5-7 to the A House.. 7-9 to Crown.. and 10-13 to the ferry dock, so you're near everything.

The place itself was exactly as advertised in the photos and the listing. The unit is small but was good enough for the two of us, as we weren't there all that much except to change or to sleep.

The kitchen is narrow, and yes, the fridge is small. We just kept mixers (for drinks), beer, and some cold cuts in there (for late night sandwiches) so it worked for us. But the kitchen is stocked with just about everything you'd need to cook and eat (dishes, utensils, etc), plus a toaster oven (no microwave tho) and most importantly, a coffee maker (with filters!)

The bedrooms were small but exactly like the listing said. I loved the built in desk (I'm in IT, so a place to setup my laptop is a big bonus!). However I wished the bedroom had more drawers, but you can make it work with what's there (at least I did). The bed linens were soft and luxurious. However, the beds are VERY firm. If you like firm, you'll love these beds!

The bathroom was clean and bright, with lots of soft towels and other things provided. (and the handmade soaps!).

There's also a washer and dryer, stuff for the beach (chairs, etc), a grill, the deck & yard, and a few other things we didn't use. Plus I'm sure if I needed something, I could have asked the owners and I would have gotten it. They were very approachable at all times during the stay.

All in all it was a very nice stay, I would recommend it to anyone. Definitely worth all five stars!

The Cottage

  • 4 of 5

I stayed in the cottage unit and overall the stay was pleasant. The unit was as described and location was great. Three blocks from the A-house and very close to commercial street. Parking space for a car was also provided. We enjoyed it a lot and hope to stay again soon.

Fantastic location and comfortable accommodations.

  • 5 of 5

The Cottage is a great place to stay when you're visiting Provincetown. The location is wonderful, and only a short walk to Commercial Street. The bedding and towels were wonderful, and very comfortable. The appliances were well-cleaned and had no signs of previous tenant use. The owner was very easy to get in touch with via email, and check-in and check-out were seamless.

I would gladly recommend this space to friends, and will look into staying here again on future visits to Provincetown.

Great cottage Great time

  • 4 of 5

The description of the Cottage was accurate regarding the location , the photo's where accurate on the appearance as well as the amenities. The Cottage was very clean and very comfortable , The owner was very helpful with answering all our questions , Kitchen a little small and fridge but you make it work , the outside porch was great to have our coffee and eat breakfast , the rest of the time we ate out in town , so having a small kitchen was not an issue. the beds were very comfortable , I would recommend this property to a friend or relative and most likey stay there again next year... As other's have stated another mirror might be a good addition , I would suggest even if its behind a door.

other than that , great time , great location ....

Car: not necessary

We are located one block from Commercial Street, the main strip of Provincetown. Whether you are a first time visitor, or an annual returnee, you will enjoy the clean and comfortable accommodations, within walking distance of most shops and restaurants as well as the Provincetown General Store, Mussel Beach Health Club, and not too far is the Stop and Shop Grocery Store.

Provincetown has a rich history. The Pilgrim's First landed here, at Long Point, and signed the Mayflower Compact out in Provincetown Harbor. Due to the lack of farm land and drinking water, they continued on to Plymouth. Once a bustling fishing village, Provincetown is also home to the birth of the American Theatre as well many renowned Artists. Today, Provincetown provides and welcomes an eclectic mix of people.

If you feel, as most people do, that you don’t need a car in Town, there are several Ferry options from Boston that will get you here in 90 minutes. Cabs are available at the Ferry although most enjoy the walk down Commercial Street. There is also a bus and Cape Air Airlines offers service from several East Coast cities.

There are several bicycle rental shops in town and close to the property. Must see attractions include Herring Cove Beach located just over a mile away, and The National Seashore provides miles of trails for biking or hiking.

Provincetown offers many great restaurants, as well as a variety of Shops, Art Galleries, and Night Clubs. The World Famous Boatslip Tea Dance is just a short stroll.

Cape Cod National Seashore Park

In 1961, President Kennedy created the Cape Cod National Seashore and in doing so ensured that three-quarters of Provincetown would be preserved in its wilderness state as part of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. Two of the best beaches in America, Herring Cove Beach and Race Point, are located within the CCNS along with miles of bicycle trails.
