Located in Aventuras Akumal, 2.7 miles south from Akumal Bay, U-Nah-Kin (sun's house in Mayan) is a 4 condo building placed just in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in Akumal's area. This white sandy beach is also one of the most visited by the turtles in the nesting season.

Our unit is located on the second floor. It offers a cozy veranda from where one can enjoy the beautiful sea view - sunsets are included! It also has a convenient spiral staircase which leads you directly to the sand on the beach.

With 1 bedroom (1-2 guests) or 2 bedrooms (3-4 guests) and one futon in the living area, this condo can accommodate from 1 to 5 guests. Both bedrooms have windows towards the ocean side, so you will be able to enjoy the breeze in every corner of the condo. The condo is fully equipped: Air conditioned bedrooms, Internet connection and satellite TV included, Kayak, Hammock, BBQ grill, and parking lot.

Akumal is a small resort community with spectacular sandy white beaches, swaying palms and sun. Nonetheless it is a small village, it counts with all kind of services. Has long been a secret getaway, discovered only by those who dared to travel down the coastline in search of adventure. If you like snorkeling, you will find superb spots everywhere.

Our family 2 adults and 2 school aged children recently stayed at the upper level condo at U Na Kin in Akumal. We arrived late in the evening and did not have problems finding the location. We stayed in codo number 2 upper level with the spiral staircase . This condo needs a little work. The wall paint is coming off in some areas, the kitchen lacks a microwave and the toaster oven does not have the setting markings legible. The lighting flickers at times and the TV/Internet had issues with connection. Unfortunately we were also robbed in our condo while I was sleeping with my children! We left the back door mistakenly unlocked & someone came in early in the am and stole our camera. The codo directions do emphasize the need to lock all doors! Thank goodness we used the safe provided and that no one in our family was harmed. The owner Wilma and associate Fernando were helpful in this matter. However, we do feel the locks need to be updated and it was a bit of a burden to try and lock the back sliding door when we went to the beach. The back sliding door is challenging to lock and unlock with the key provided. The condo is not as well kept as the other 3 in this development as we made friends and viewed the other condo/rooms. I am referring to updated paint, lighting, furniture, and decor. On the positive note, the location/views were gorgeous, snorkeling right in the shore, and having a kitchen was very good for a family. We did enjoy the property for the most part, the housekeeper was good, and the garden keeper was very good as well. I do need to add, I have traveled to Mexico various times, and I speak Spanish. We did not have a safe trip overall, the PEMEX gas station tries to scam people, not just us, but other guests in the codo development shared with us similar situations. And stay near your location, do not go to a lagoon nearby as we had a very negative experience as well.

Very nice

Wir haben drei Nächte hier verbracht, die Lage am Strand ist top. Ausstattung der Zimmer und Wohnung ist okay. Im Schlafzimmer stinkt die Klimaanlage ein wenig, wir konnten mit Ventilator und offenen Fenster schlafen. Der Duschkopf in der Dusche ist so verkalkt, dass man nicht richtig duschen kann. Mit wenigen Mitteln könnte man das Condo aufwerten. Yeni und Ismael, Putzfrau und Gärtner sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und haben auch unsere Wäsche einmal gewaschen. Da wir mit Kind gereist sind, hat Wilma die Vermieterin uns auch ein Babybett zur Verfügung gestellt. Zur Begrüßung gab es frische Früchte wie Ananas, Bananen und Äpfel. Der Strand ist sehr schön und es gibt Kayak, Schnorchelausrüstung und Schwimmwesten. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Be careful booking!

Entrance to location had no lights so very hard to find at night.Posting said two bed two bath, got there late in evening and discovered only one of each. Finally the property manager came over and said if you say you have two people coming they give you one bed because two can fit in the bed. Soooooo after much discussion we paid an extra 20.dollars to have the second room unlocked - the next day !

Condos value for the price was appropriate, and grounds keeper was very helpful with luggage when leaving.

Comfortable, Great beach house, perfect for family or couples

For starters, Fernando, my contact person was available for any comment or concern I had prior to leaving home. I had a lot of questions and he put my mind at ease. The house was exactly as described even better really. The trip from the airport ( we rented a car, a must in my opinion) was about an hour. Not a bad drive. Route 307 south. The drive was easy. You must drive defensively. The house is in the middle of everything you want to see. Tulum to the south, we did Tulum and Coba ruins in one day. Playa, to the north, we rented a dune buggy tour for the most amazing Cenote tour you could imagine. Out of this world. Akumal is 5 minutes north that is probably what is considered "going in town" there's shops and a market with an ATM that have both pesos and USD. the restaurants there were excellent. Breakfast with beach views. That is also where you want to snorkel to see turtles. We saw a bunch ( without paying for a "tour") get a life jacket and you can go out to the reef. So over all the house is exactly as described the beach is spectacular and morning walks and sunrises are the reason you rent this house. My family of 5, older teenagers and a 22 Y/o had the time off their lives I know it's something they will never forget. Of course you'll have to spend a night or 2 at the beached bikini bar only about 80 yards from your back door. Carlos the bartender gave us good advice and we enjoyed spending time with the staff there. The people of the Maya area were always smiling and really nice people. You won't get a better time on vacation anywhere than you will here.

The place is awesome! Fabulous beach, great apartment and lovely staff. We were looking for a quiet beach place, away from crowded spots on macro-resorts, and definitely, this is was the perfect choice.

We saw sea turtles when snorkeling near our front door. Later, in the night, one of them came out to the beach and buried its eggs in the sand. We'll never forget this amazing experience!!!
