About JaneTess Davis

At age 18 I read the Adele Davis book 'Lets Eat Right to Keep Fit.' That was 60 years ago. That was my bible. I have been on the path to health and nutrition ever since. Too many people today encourage diseases by their poor nutrition and by overeating. Today we MUST supplement our nutrition with appropriate vitamins and minerals because our many foods are lacking those essential elements that we need to sustain a good long and healthful life. Desert life fits right into a healthful way of life. Lots of new changes. This beautiful Glass House is my RETREAT.

JaneTess Davis purchased this house in 2000

Why JaneTess Davis chose Desert Hot Springs

I fell in love with the gardens on this 1.2 acre property. The Round Glass House is a dream come true. Wild life is abundant. When I stay here I go nowhere else. I just sit and look at the beauty and the squirrels, chipmunks, quail, roadrunners, cottontails, and an occasional coyote. Night sunsets with bright stars!!! Shining all over the universe! Also have a wonderful manager Alex Terraza who can be called at any time.

What makes this house unique

Only 6 blocks to the famous Spas of Desert Hot Springs. Walking trails, hikes, 45 minutes to Joshua Tree, golf courses, great restaurants, 15 minutes to Palm Springs. The house is equipped with everything. Just bring yourselves. We have a new DVR which makes it easy to turn on the TV. Record what you like and watch later at your convenience.

At night the lights go on in the front and back gardens automatically. It is a light garden show. Sit outside at night and you may think you are in Paradise!!!

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

This house is wonderful. I could just sit and look at the view all day. The garden is a haven for wildlife and even though neighbors are close by you don't even know it. There are lot's of cactus to enjoy in the garden. The kitchen is well stocked with nice cooking tools,so making meals at home was easy. Thank you Jane for sharing your wonderful home.

great place to stay while touring Joshua tree, ect

  • 5 of 5

Spacious house. Looks as pictured. Quiet street.Cactus garden provides relative privacy and charm. Comfortable beds. Well equipped ( except ought to have 2 hairdryers, not one). You can see sun rise and sunset from the patio. This would work well for couples, friends or families. Only quibbles are minor: no shampoo and only one hairdryer.

Owner's Response: Thank you. We actually have two hair dryers. Bottom drawer in bathroom. We do not provide shampoo. Good idea. People usually travel with their own i still think we should have shampoo. Joshua Tree is one of the Seven Wonders of the world. Glad you went there! Come and visit another time. Thanks for the 5 star review. Jane Davis

A real paradise!

  • 5 of 5

The garden and terrasse are magnificient, the decoration in the house is great with a lot of objects we have pleasure to look at, and the space very nice to live, with a lot of sofa and chairs everyone is comfortably seated to admire the view on the pink mountains in the morning and the cactus in the evening> The house is very well furnished and you find everything you need to cook or make a BBQ. Everything is extremely clean and welcoming. And the West Entrance of the Joshua tree national park is only 40 min drives. This is a perfect place for a family vacation and we wish we could have stayed more than 3 days. Thank you so much!
