Private Unit and family owned, we take great pride in meeting the needs of our guests. As the property manager, I go above and beyond to accommodate both new and returning guests.
Gem of the Gold Coast! Sitting at the peninsula, you have gorgeous ocean views. There are no neighboring buildings blocking the view as you perch above the clear waters. Just a 5-10 minute walk into Waikiki. The south shore's best surf breaks - Tongs, Old Man's right outside your lanai. Private beach access, outdoor shower, private parking.... everything you need. We know you will love it as much as we do!
We surprised my mom with a trip to Oahu for her recent retirement. This place was absolutely perfect! Had everything you could ever need inside the unit, had the most unbelievable views, and the property manager was so helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. The location of this unit was great, right across from a huge park, and less than a 15 minute walk to downtown Waikiki Beach. There was nothing like sitting on the large lanai early in the morning, coffee in hand, enjoying the wonderful views and the sounds of the waves so close you could almost feel the water. I hope to return to this wonderful property again.
We came again after a great visit last year. It really is a wonderful apartment if you like peace and quiet, which we do. The lanai is perfect for lounging and enjoying the wonderful views. It is a 20 minute walk up to Waikiki but that is a perfectly fine trade off for the tranquility at night. Being close to the park and beach access is also a big plus for us. It really has become a home away from home for us and we cannot find better that ticks all of our boxes. We cannot wait to visit again next year.
This is the ideal home when staying away from home. The view is absolutely splendid. One really cannot give enough praise. The enormous balcony is where you will spend much of your time. The accommodations of the home were all also very nice. The furniture was very comfortable, with lots of sitting areas, including 4 roller bar chairs. Everything is of very high quality, including the bathroom showers, fully stocked (modern) kitchen, and amenities.
The owners are amazing people, eager to greet you like family and make your stay even more wonderful. The location is 5 mins from the craziness of Waikiki while being right in the middle of the calm and serenity of the gold coast. We walked almost everywhere half of the time, and spent the other half enjoying the view from our balcony. :)
All in all, highly recommended. Make some new friends, enjoy a month in Hawaii at a new location, and get an experience unlike any other on the Big Island. Thanks for the great time!
I really loved this property - don't want to give it too high a rap or we'll never get in again. Really it is just lovely location by the oceanside. The lanai is great - views to die for. The pictures and descriptions are all accurate and the Manager, Arden couldn't be more helpful. Yes, the decor could use some updating and the outdoor dining setting is not so comfortable but if all that was done, I probably couldn't afford to stay here anymore. It is well presented and very clean. Overall it is wonderful spot at the base of Diamond Head, if you want peace and quiet, great beach access, and don't mind a good walk to Waikiki amenities and restaurants. We particularly liked that it was away from the madness that Waikiki can have but close enough to walk (20 minutes) to everything. We loved it so much we are going back again this year.
My husband and I escape our rainy Canadian winters on Vancouver Island and head to Oahu for 2-3 months every year. We have done so for many years, staying on the Gold Coast of Oahu. We love this location because it is away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki strip but close enough to walk if you are wanting to go to the Honolulu Zoo, Aquarium, beaches and shopping/restaurant row. After many years at the same place, we were fortunate to find this condo online and made the switch. Our first stay was last March and we can not say enough about this beautiful place. It is spacious, clean and in a very friendly and low-key building. You get a parking spot with the unit (very rare in Waikiki to get parking included) and the building is very well maintained. The building has two elevators at each end and is across from Queen Kapiolani Park with great walking/running paths and Diamond Head (great to walk the loop every day!). There are two farmers markets close by (one on Wednesday at the park and a large one Saturday at the College) where you can indulge in the local fare and stock up on fresh vegetables. The unit itself is GORGEOUS with all flooring inside (except for the bedroom and den) and two bathrooms. There is an in-house washer/dryer as well. For the length of time we are fortunate enough to stay, it is important for us to have all the comforts of home and this beautiful condo offers just that. It has all the amenities of home with a spacious kitchen area for creating fabulous dinners to enjoy on the lanai. The most magnificent feature of this unit is the large, circular lanai literally hanging over the ocean! Our dinner guests referred to it as the "WOW HOUSE". We loved dealing with the lady that manages the unit as she was very good to ensure we had our space but followed up to find out if any improvements could be made or if there was anything we needed. Trust us, we have been in many units in Oahu over the years and this is a perfect gem. We have signed up to stay here every year for our winter getaway as it really doesn't get any better than this! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place and hope to spend many winters here.
My family and I stayed at this property in August 2011 and had a perfect vacation. Though the photos are lovely, they do not do it justice. The condo is spacious and clean. Some of the furnishings are funny and funky, like the flamingos on the deck, but that just added to the charm. The balcony is amazing and I loved opening all the shutters in the morning and waking up to the beautiful Hawaiian Sunrise.
The owners agent was very helpful in setting us up and responded immediately when we had a question about the wifi and got it in working order for our stay. One issue that did not get resolved is the AC in the second bedroom which did not work properly and that room got quite warm at night when my son closed the door.
I grew up in Hawaii and think the location here is perfect for a vacation as you are close to but not in the heart of Waikiki. I prefer to be on beaches that are not packed with other visitors so I prefer this quieter area. However, it's easy to walk to Waikiki if one wants to explore that as well.
