Impeccably remodeled historic house in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara .
Redone faithfully, in the 1920's tradition, the house is virtually new, with all new walls, wood floors, fixtures and appliances. The house is small and intimate yet retains its rich historic flavor and is just 2 blocks from State St., one block from the court house and walking distance to a wide variety of downtown shops and restaurants.
You are steps away from the amazing SB Court House and State Street, but just far enough to escape the noise when desired. Very Quaint, Very Central, Very New, & Constructed With All Of The Finest Craftsman Touches. A car is not necessarily needed as there are ample choices in dining and Ralph's grocery store is 5 blocks away.
We’re only two blocks from State Street and the Museum of Art and the newly rebuilt Granada Theater. The beach is two miles by car or bicycle. It’s about 1.1 miles to Santa Barbara Mission and Rose garden.
We’re only two blocks from State Street and the Museum of Art and the newly rebuilt Granada Theater. The beach is two miles by car or bicycle. It’s about 1.5 miles to Santa Barbara Mission and Rose Garden. Pristine Montecito, just 10 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. Beauty, nature, hiking, beaches, restaurants, shopping, nightlife...Spend an afternoon in Solvang, a Danish town just 40 minutes away, visit the many wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley on a wine tasting tour, rent bicycles and ride along the Santa Barbara shoreline, hike, lay on one of the many serene beautiful beaches, shop on State Street in Santa Barbara, visit the jumping nightlife or just sit on the quaint flagstone patio with a book after a long walk up a safe and convenient street from the cottage's door. All of this is in one of the most sought after vacation towns and you will be as central as you want to be!
I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had and that it was all made possible by the wonderful accomodations at your little cottage on Figueroa.
Everything was just perfect. I can't believe that we discovered this treasure right in the heart of Santa Barbara!
You will definitely be hearing from us again on our next visit to California and I am spreading the word among our many relatives of your darling Santa Barbara cottage.
Many many thanks for making it so nice for us!
Cute comfy cottage conviently located 2 blocks from State Street. Within walking distance to most stores and restaurants, with a 50cent shuttle on State St running every 15-30 minutes for those that are farther than you'd care to walk. Shuttle runs to 6PM. We had rented a car and luckily it fit in the small gravel area next to the cottage. Otherwise free street parking is in 75 minute segments or parking in a garage located between State and Figueroa where first 75 minutes are free the $1.50 per 75 minutes thereafter. We needed the car to get to locations were going otherwise you really don't need one.
The cottage itself was very cozy with comfy beds! :) There were only two of us staying but I think 4 could stay comfortably. One drawback is that one bathroom is located all the way across the cottage from the bedroom and is accessed through the kitchen. The other bathroom is located off the bedroom. (Hence the 4 stars.)
The kitchen has full size appliances if you wanted to eat in.
I'd stay here again and will recommend to friends.
This cottage was one of our favorite stays! It was quaint and private, with the surrounding cottages being very quiet. It was a perfect size for 2-4 people, safe next to the SB police station, and convenient walking distance from State Street with shopping and TONS of dining options.
Parking was pretty tight "on sight" - but the weekend parking on the street was not a problem at all. I would recommend to anyone staying that they consider bringing bikes if they can, which would make getting around much easier - but totally not necessary if you don't mind walking. Parking in down town, in general, can be a challenge...but not the fault of the Cottage.
The owner had it cleaned spotless before we arrived and it was well maintained. We would absolutely come back!!!!
Perfect location within walking distance to central downtown Santa Barbara with all shopping and restaurants right there.
So nice to get the parking placard and not have to worrying about moving my car.
Comfy beds and great kitchen. All the necessities you need for a VRBO.
Thank you for a lovely week.
We enjoyed a three-month stay in this comfortable and lovely cottage, which is situated close to downtown and the beach. Minor problems during our stay were attended to at once, and we always had easy communication with our hosts. The cottage is part of a friendly, small community off a downtown street. It is a fine choice of lodging to enjoy the beauty of Santa Barbara.
This lovely cottage is just a few minutes walk from the middle of State Street and all of its restaurants, shopping, etc. No need to drive anywhere unless you want to (except for groceries). Quiet and friendly neighborhood. Everything inside was very clean, updated and well maintained. Floor plan was great with one exception - you have to go through kitchen to get to second bathroom & shower.
I won't hesitate to rent this property again the next time I visit Santa Barbara.
We stayed here for four nights over New Year's Eve weekend. It was perfect for us - all of the comforts of home and within walking distance to State Street. For a small unit, it was very user friendly for 3 adults and an infant. Having two bathrooms was a huge bonus and the kitchen is very well outfitted.
This property is right next door to the Police Station and still was VERY quiet and we never had to park more than one block away.
