The Silver Palms Cottage is tucked away at the water's edge in a small cove on the south coast of Providenciales, overlooking the tranquil turquoise waters of Long Bay Beach. This charming little cottage offers self-catering accommodation for a maximum of 6 people in three cozy bedrooms. It is the ideal spot for a romantic get-away, or a fun family vacation. Silver Palms Cottage is the perfect alternative to the traditional hotel and resort experience. Our comfortable little cottage can be your private beach home for a weekend, a week or a month.
The cottage, decorated in a causal but homely style, includes a comfy living room complete with cable TV, DVD player and iPod dock, a fully equipped kitchen, and bedrooms with a comfortable queen-size, double and twin beds. The spacious deck, with panoramic views of the bay is furnished for alfresco dining.
Step off the deck on to miles of wide, natural, virtually uninhabited beach that invites you for leisurely walks, shelling and sun-bathing. You might see an occasional beachcomber or a couple of day-trippers, but most of the time you’ll have the sands to yourselves.
Quiet and secluded, yet accessible to everything. We are just a few minutes from many fine restaurants, shops, galleries, supermarkets and banks . Golfing and boating/ sailing facilities are also in close proximity.
For the adventurous, many exhilarating excursions and unique adventures are available through local tour operators. Some of the island's best water activities can be found right here. Long Bay beach is the premier beach on island for kite boarding. Kite-boarding takes place just a few kilometers away. The mangroves that flank the eastern coastline of the property offers the prefect opportunity of kayaking and fishing. Inflatable Kayaks and Canoe are provided at the cottage for the use of our guest. Explore the nearby coastal mangroves with these lightweight, easy to use inflatable kayaks and canoes.
If you are in search of peace and harmony, just enjoy the serenity of your own private cottage. Relax on the deck and soak up the warm sunshine or toast marshmallows while sitting at your private fire ring and watching the magnificent sunsets. Alternatively, you can visit one of the many spas on island.
There are only a few private, non-condo, beach homes available on Long Bay Beach, Providenciales that are directly on the sand and this is one of them. The property is located right on the beach. You step off the deck right on to the beach.
Alternatively, spend the day wadding in our newly constructed 27ft swimming pool. A refreshing dip goes a long way after a hot day of site seeing. A great Spot for reading a good book, an evening cocktail and meeting new friends. The pool area is a favorite gathering spot for guests. So come and make Silver Palms Cottage your home away from home.
Note: We have an adjacent beachfront 2 bedroom + loft cottage on property, which is an exact replica. We can also offer you a HOUSE + CAR package, as part of the rental.

Silver Palms Cottage is owned by Wesley & Tatum Clerveaux, a young couple with a passion for nature. Both Wesley and Tatum are marine ecologists, employed with the local Government.
The couple lives on Island, in the downtown area (10 mins away) with their two young kids.
Both are happy to share their knowledge of some of the more exciting places to visit and available opportunities on island.
Tatum or Wesley Clerveaux purchased this cottage in 2006
Silver Palms Cottage was constructed in 2006, by Wesley with the help of his dad, as a father and son labour of love project.
Originally from the neighbouring island of South Caicos, Wesley, built this cozy cottage as his personal Provo escape. A place where he could come and relax and experience nature at its best. A home away from home.
The location offers absolute peace and tranquility. For us, the experience of waking up early to a morning where tranquility is only broken by the sounds of birds chirping, gentle waves lapping against the shore and the occasional fishing boat chugging across the bay, is priceless.
Enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck while watching the tide come in or go out is also magically mind soothing.
The seclusion of the property also allows our kids to explore with little supervision. And as night falls, a barbecue on the beach or roasting marshmallows at the fire ring is always a big hit with the kids.
A dreamlike vacation and this review is long overdue!! My husband and I, along with our 2 and 4 year old traveled to the Turks for a well needed vacation. We stayed for a month at Silver Palms and during the month both our moms came to visit for long weekends. Upon landing we were greeted by both Wesley and Tatum and escorted to our Villa. When we got to the house, we were in awe with how private and beautiful the property was. We actually stayed in both villas during our month long stay. They were cozy, smartly furnished with all the comforts of home, and wonderfully located directly on the beach. Miles and miles of white sandy beach just in front of the cottage, no one disturbing you, kayaks and beach chairs at your disposal under the trees and warm crystal clear water. The swimming in our bay was lovely, and shallow for quite a way, so great for children!! We spent every morning sipping coffee on the porch gazing at the beautiful ocean and most evenings enjoying smores and or a small fire at the fire pit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Silver Palms, finding it the perfect balance of privacy, yet we were close enough to explore other areas of the island within short driving distance. (We had the car package) I cannot put into words a description that adequately explains what it feels like to be sitting in the pool, looking out at the ocean, watching the kite boarders, hoping for a glimpse of a dolphin passing by. The villas are set up in a way that multiple people can be on the property, and have a great social time but still have privacy if so desired. Having spent quite a while in their cottage, we had time to meet their whole family. Their children were wonderful and our children had a great time playing with them. Staff, top notch, our cottage was thoroughly cleaned once a week by the most wonderful cleaning staff and our beach was cleaned daily and fire pit restocked every morning. My husband was interested in possible business opportunities on the island and Wesley’s brother spent countless hours sharing information and showing him around. Excellent service provided by very engaging, professional owners – Wesley and Tatum Clerveaux!!
I could go on and on…. but without a doubt I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a stay in a little piece of paradise!
We recently stayed at the Silver Palms and are reviewing based on our findings.
Location is directly on Long Bay Beach which is not as calm as Grace Bay side. A lot of sea weed every day makes the beach look messy even though Ben tries to keep it tidy. It is also a shame that in front of the pool, ( which is not in the pictures) is a large pile of building rubble which is very unsightly.
We ended up going out to Grace Bay most days because the beach is far superior and you don't have Ben( the beach cleaner) around all day. Considering having a private cottage usually means not so much of people around all day cleaning. A tip, get the machine to do it like they do the rest of the beach and give customers more privacy.
The house needs a lot of maintenance, nails sticking out of the deck, switches hanging off the wall, leaking porch roof and why put a screened porch up when the bugs just come through the floor, doesn't make sense. Everything looks tired and old, the pool handles out of the pool were loose which could be dangerous and the over all visual appearance needs attention. The front door didn't lock very well as also the rear French doors. Doesn't make it very secure. We also felt that we couldn't use the AC due to not knowing if we're going to get charged or not. We were supposed to read the metre with the owner before the start and end of the vacation but never saw the owners at all except to take our money. Not even a goodbye at the end of our stay.
We want to recommend this property to friends but until I am convinced these issues are dealt with we won't be returning or recommending to friends or clients. We were disappointed but wished we wasn't.
No contract was taken from me which I thought was strange
My family of 5 (ages 37,38,15,13&6) rented the cottage furthest from the pool (A) , while our friends rented the cottage closest to the pool (B). We both did the car package which was great value. My family had the mini van, which needs some break and rotar repair, but did suffice our transportation needs, so no complaints. Our friends had the suv, which was great! The home comes with like 4-5 kayaks and one stand up paddle board. Which we all used multiple times everyday. This was my 2nd trip to Provo renting a home.
Pros: the homes are average in appearance, and I would say the photos describe them appropriately. The property is ocean front and it is calm. There are some rocks, sea grass and a lot of little crabs, so I do advice water shoes. One child in our group has cerebral palsy and he was able to navigate the waters fine w/ water shoes. The water is very clear, esp when you kayak out some. You can walk out for several yards. I would maybe even say miles. My husband and son kayaked to the marooned ship a mile or so out. We saw a shark, either lemon, or nurse shark just up off the little reefy area. We also saw blow fish, sting rays, starfish, a turtle, bone fish and other fish. We had the private chef Ricky that Tatum recommended.. WONDERFUL! The pool is nice. I suggest bringing a speaker and some rafts. I do recommend this property for family groups. There was 9 of us in total between both homes. Mr. Ben was so helpful, he's the ground keeper. He keeps the rif raff away. He cleaned the see wood.
Cons: the pool is shared between both cottages, which is somewhat common on the island. I'm funny, I don't like to share w/ others, that's why I stay in private homes and not hotels. We also experienced extremely bad mosquito, not outside, but inside the cottages. We had to apply OFF on at night to go to sleep. We probably could have avoided this by turning on the Ac rather than having the windows open (screens were on). That was probably the most notably bad thing I can say about the cottages. The tv in cottage a didn't work, nor did the phone. However, the wifi was good, but not while at the pool.
Tips: cottage closest to the pool has the best porch view, but the kitchen accessories and visual appeal is nicest in the cottage furthest from pool.
The owners are a little difficult to get a hold in the months before Our arrival, but they was easier to reach on the island.
Tatum and Wesley were very welcoming and accommodating, and were always available when needed. Even before arrival any questions we had were answered promptly via email. Everyone that helped take care of the cottages were extremely friendly and helpful as well. The man that picked us up from the airport had lots of great info and showed us where to go for groceries and liquor, even stopping on the way to the house. One day I asked the care taker if there were umbrellas available for added shade, and he said he'd look into it. Within and hour or so he returned with three brand new umbrellas.
The location was fantastic and it feels as though you have the whole beach to yourself. We were lucky enough to stay on a week where the other cottage was empty and we had the whole grounds to ourselves. The pools were nice with a good size deck and a nice view. It was nice to watch the kite boarders on windy days.
Everything inside was in good working order and very clean. All the kitchen utensils you could need are there. There was a good supply of bath and beach towels. The bedding was comfortable as well.
We would highly recommend renting the car from them directly, as it was clean and well maintained as well.
I highly recommend going to The Bight Park on Lower Bight Road, if you want to go see Grace Bay but still be apart from the resorts. We went on a couple of occasions and there were very few people and the water was beautiful.
If you would like to do any snorkeling or water excursions, I would highly recommend Big Blue Unlimited. Everyone there was awesome! We had a great snorkeling trip and were able to see a whale at a pretty close distance. They even let us jump right in for a chance to swim with the whale. They were all very professional, down to earth and friendly.
The only complaint I have, which isn't even that big , was the sand flies. They are terrible at dusk and dawn. Spray the chairs , yourself and surrounding beach with OFF if you are out at these times. They seem to like certain people more, as I was bitten a tremendous amount more than my son or husband.
All in all The Silver Palms offers a great vacation location thanks to all the small details. And of course thanks to Wesley and Tatum!
Tatum & Westley are the perfect owners and they make you feel extra special by tending to your beck & Call. I've written a Turks & Caicos Diary including a review of this beauty property on my blog here > http://www.styleweekender.com/2016/01/turks-caicos-diary.html
We loved staying here at Silver Palms Cottage. You get a perfect mix of Zen, privacy, and relaxation. We felt extremely safe and had a lovely time.
Thank you for everything Tatum & Westley. We will definitely be back. That is for sure.
This was my first time staying at the cottage and I have to say I am now a loyal fan of this amazing vacation spot. Tatum and Wesley were so welcoming and friendly and the cottage had the perfect mix of comfort and island charm. The "beach beds" were absolutely my favorite amenity! Having the beach/water just steps away, a pool and a screened in porch made the vacation even more enjoyable. Ben did an amazing job keeping the grounds so clean and orderly; every morning felt like the first, pristine day of vacation! I would be remiss if I didn't say how impressed I was with the immediate and continuous communication from Wesley and Tatum about Tropical Storm Erika - what kind and professional owners! I intend to return as soon as I can!
This is my second time at Tatum & Wesleys cottage of which they own two. Four of us stayed, relaxed and forgot about our city jobs in the quite cove of Silver Palms. A pool has been added since we last stayed and it was wonderful to take evening swims when the sun went down. Thank you guys for bringing us the kayaks to explore the near by mangroves, it was enjoyed by all. Also I want to thank you for putting us at ease regarding Tropical Storm Erika and introducing us to Virgina another member of the family, who much to our delight just happens to be Director of Disaster Management and Emergencies. We could not have felt more fussed over.
It was as usual sad to leave and I was hoping the airport would have closed and kept us another few days. Hopefully we can stay longer next time. Send our regards to Ben and thank him for taking care of the grounds, he's a great guy. All the best to your family.
Provo is the perfect setting for some fun in the sun or an island getaway with family and friends. The beaches here are pristine and beautiful. The water is crystal clear and very clean. Boating, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba are perfect daytime activities; the surf isn't rough and the winds are excellent for sailing, wind surfing and kiteboarding which you can launch directly from the beach in front of the cottage.-----
Delicious dinners are served up at numerous restaurants, most of which are in the Grace Bay area, which is only 5 -10mins away from the cottage. Or if you prefer, we can arrange for a private chef to prepare some local delicious dishes right at the cottage, while you relax and sip on some wine.-----
To top off your evening there is almost always something happening, from live music, through to Karaoke, Caribbean-Style Jams, the Glow Worm Rum Punch Cruise, full-moon party, or games of chance at the Casablanca Casino. It may not be the city that never sleeps but I am sure you will find lots to do after the sun goes down.-----
Or you can relax at the cottage in front of a blazing bonfire / fire-pit drinking cold beers and exchanging fun memories with your friends.----
