Mary Popovich purchased this cottage in 1883
This cottage has been in the family since it was built in 1883. We treasure T.I. Park and are active in the community. The River is a special place to our family.
The 'Family Cottage' as we call it, has an unbelievable view of the River. The cottage has not been changed much over the years. It was built on a rock and is a very unique. A great place to relax and spend time with your family.
Great views and a great time was had by all. If we can work it out, we plan on coming back next year.
Thank you for everything and for letting us stay in your cottage,
This was the best vacation we have had in years! Great views, amazing architecture, fabulous location! The cottage may have been built in the 1800s but it has all the modern amenities. We had a dishwasher, washer and dryer and coffee maker. The whole area is historic and there is so much to do. We went swimming, fishing, took a river cruise and visited the towns of Clayton and Alexandria Bay. Top notch vacation destination!!! Home owner is very attentive to renters needs. I highly suggest renting the golf cart for added convenience!!
We stayed for two weeks. The cottage is lovely. Very informal and comfortable. It's placed in a cove which the wind comes off the river keeping the cottage cool in the hot afternoons. Thousand Island Park is a place out of time with vintage Victorian cottages, wide open green spaces and an atmosphere of friends and family...almost like a Norman Rockwell portrait. TIP is well located where you can cross over to to Canada or take a drive through the Adirondacks. We had a great time. Mary the owner is very helpful. Will absolutely go back.
