beutiful oceanfront property

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay while visiting Cape Cod. The cottage is bright, open and clean, with views onto the Atlantic from inside and the deck. It is a short walk to the beach, and a short drive to Wellfleet towne centre. Saw lots of seals feeding in the surf while walking along the beach.

Beautiful Time In Wellfleet!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Cahoon Hollow Road in Wellfleet the last week in October. A beautiful time of year to enjoy Cape Cod with no summer crowds and a spectacular view of the ocean from the huge deck. Still warm enough to sit outside for breakfast and cocktails.

The morning sunrises over the ocean were breathtaking, and watching the moon come out over the water was extremely peaceful. We had the pleasure of being there after a storm so watching the surfers come early morning was an unexpected delight. Not only were there plenty of seals to see we also saw porpoises.

The house was clean and set up nicely. Great views of the ocean from the master bedroom, kitchen, dining area and living room. You can hear the waves coming in as we sat on the deck. Plenty of windows and open space. The décor was nicely done in a beachy Cape Cod style. We felt right at home immediately.

John was available by text or email with any questions and concerns and we felt well taken care of. Thanks John for sharing your lovely home with us.

Wonderful Visit During Oysterfest

  • 5 of 5

We stayed this cottage for our first visit to Oysterfest after coming to the Cape for almost 50 years.

This was a perfect cottage for my wife and I during the festival. The cottage is very nice, although we only used the upstairs. The master bedroom has a great ocean view. The main living area is very open and works well with the views. Newcomb Hollow was quiet because the Beachcomber was closed for the season. In the summer one would want to think about whether they want to be in the middle of the action.

My only recommendation would be new solar lights along the walk and steps. It was very dark walking to the driveway at night and the existing lights did not work.

Owner's Response: Hi Brian Thanks for the nice review. I just want to correct one thing. Our beach is actually Cahoon Hollow Beach. Newcomb Hollow is about a miles down the road but is also on the great outer stretch of beach made famous by Thoreau’s Cape Cod. Summer time on Cahoon Hollow beach is a wonder, but provides a different, fun vibe. Spring is also amazing but more quiet. Summer weeks are mostly pre-reserved in advance by repeat guests. I do usually have 2-4 summer weeks available until about September of the previous summer. They go fast. If you wish to experience the greatest beach experience on Cape Cod contact me early. You’ll love it. Best, John

Lovely home in a spectacular location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our family get together in this lovely home on beautiful Cahoun Hollow Beach. The accommodations were as described: light, open plan, clean and comfy. We especially enjoyed the view from the deck where we basked in warm autumn sun and gentle breezes. The beach is extraordinarily beautiful. We biked, walked, relaxed, seal/whale watched, and star gazed. John is a helpful and attentive host. All in all a terrific stay.

Amazing Location!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time at this awesome ocean front property. We definitely lucked out with the weather, as we managed to have a beach day at Cahoon Hollow in October! If you love Wellfleet and the National Seashore, then you can simply not find a better location. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach cannot be beat.

We can only imagine what it would be like to rent this property during the summer months. We had such a great experience. The owner, John, was incredibly communicative and welcoming. If anyone is unfamiliar with the area, then he has all the best recommendations outlined to make your stay even better.
