I live this apartment half the time, so it is kept up very well. I am gone about half the time to my home in Cape May... and so I share it with others who want to come and enjoy NYC at its best.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005
The location is convenient to everything. Close to subways, close to shops and restaurants and the world-famous Central Park is just half a block away!
With the unique opportunity of a back yard in NYC, I have created a private seating area to get away from the busy streets and activity in NYC. Just steps away is a grocery, drug store, cleaners and everything else you would need to make your stay amazing!
Nice, spacious apartment in a wonderful location. Larger than any NY apartment (or hotel room) I have stayed in. Host was very accommodating, and the cost was very reasonable.
This was such a great neighborhood, mostly used the 86th St station to get to all our shows & other things downtown. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance & a nearby grocery store. We always felt safe walking back to the apartment @ night. Ron was very easy to work with & we had no problems getting into the apt even tho our flight was delayed. I would not recommend this for 4 adults, but we had 3 & it worked well.
We stayed in this apartment for three nights in July 2016. Ron was very easy to communicate with and everything went smoothly. Transportation was easy and we used the M10 bus which ran along Central Park West and had a stop 1/2 block from the apt. We also used the 86th street metro which also ran along Central Park West. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with residents walking with their children and dogs. Thanks for a great stay Ron.
It was such a good experience to be staying as a local in a traditional Brownstone building. We arrived during a heatwave and was so grateful for the A/C and fan in the bedroom. The free WIFI was really useful. The location was perfect for Central Park and the shops and restaurants within walking distance. We used both subway stations and that wasn't too far to walk. The only negative we found was the need for TLC in the garden, maybe being English where our gardens are important to us to keep pretty and looked after influence our view on the outside area that could be more cared for. The bed was really comfy and we had no issues getting the key or any details from Ron when we needed them.
Fabulous apartment for the four of us. comfortable, clean, garden area for a cold drink after a long day of walking. the area behind has lots of shops and restaurants, no traffic noise, close to park and metro. love it. we would definitely rent again. Owner was very accommodating. like like like
Perfect location - 1 block from Central Park. We walked to the MET (20 mn!) just cross the Park, walked to New York Historical Society. There's a supermarket at the corner of the street. Safe neighborhood. I heard the birds chirping in the morning ! Yes in the heart of NYC!!! Appartment is clean, kitchen is easy (no microwave, but hey boiling milk in a pan every morning for my kids was super quick.
Communication with Ron was great. We will come back and I do recommend for a family of 4. (we were there with our 7 and 10 yr old).
