Waterfront home on the shores of the famous Ship Canal. Only a few steps to Hiram Chittenden Locks to the East and Discovery Park to the West; two of Seattle's most visited sites.
The home is front row to the Ship Canal. Water traffic includes day trippers, to Alaska fishermen, tugs are a favorite, great blue heron rookery, resident sea lions, fish jumping, beautiful sunsets and ever changing activity on the water make this truly a unique location.
The home is Northwest Contemporary in style. It features a full kitchen, with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, cooking and dining supplies. The kitchen is open to the living room and walls of windows to the views. The living room has cable HDTV, Apple TV, Hulu, HBO and fireplace. Living room walks onto the private view deck.
There are three bedrooms, two with big waterfront views, one enjoys a walk in closet and space for a crib if desired.
There is a full sized washer and dryer in unit and a refinished three quarter bath.
The sunny waterfront deck is a nice place to finish the day or take the steps to the waterfront yard to enjoy the nautical parade.
You will be delighted with your stay here. This home is in a very safe, upscale residential neighborhood. Downtown Seattle and SeaTac airport is an easy, quick drive. This will be the perfect home base for your vacation!

Of the places I have lived, this is by far the most facinating and enjoyable! The waterfront is very active, local sights and great restaurants are within walking distance. A quick drive and you are in the heart of Seattle visiting Pike Place Market. I think you will find this is the perfect location for your Seattle vacation.
Gina purchased this house in 2008
I am no scientist, but I have read that in environments with salt tinged sea air (like this Waterfront) an abundance of negative ions(electrically charged atoms) are found, which increases the brains seratonin levels, thereby giving an overall feeling of well being and energy! That's pretty great.
We really enjoyed our stay at this home, the photo of the water does not do it justice, we really enjoyed watching the boats, the bridge, the birds, the sea lions. Great location too, close to town and easy commute. Owner had lots of great information provided, home was very clean when we arrived, beds comfortable, great floor plan.
There were 5 of us and 1 bath was adequate, no problems with parking while we were there. Walked down to watch how the locks worked, really entertaining, saw a huge yacht go thru and really enjoyed it. Gina is not kidding about the boat parade, everything from fishing boats to small sail boats and barges go by.
We visited Pikes market and bought the city pass, we really enjoyed all activities. Seattle is a clean and easy city to traverse.
We also purchased tickets to the laser light show and that was our only mistake!
Gina was responsive to all of my emails and easy to work with. The train noise mentioned in other reviews was not a problem if you keep windows closed.
We can't say enough about this great place on the Waterfront. We stayed for two weeks and LOVED every minute and HATED to leave. The home was exactly as advertised. Three bedrooms, 1 bath and a millon great views. We were trying to having a working vacation and got more vacation than work. We would work for a few minutes and jump up to see what was going by the window next. We learn a great deal about ships, boats, barges, trains and of course, Seattle. If you are looking for a place to work, while enjoying the scenario, this is the place. And if you don't want to work, there is not at place better for that either.
The owner (Gina) meet every need. She had everything you needed in the condo and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The home was clean, nicely furished, and had a great layout. We didn't have to worry about not having air conditioning. The temperature was perfect the entire stay. If it was cool, we used the heaters the owner provided. If we got warm, we openned the windows. Didn't even miss the air conditioner. We had one small issue with an appliance, but Gina got it fixed as soon as possible and keep us informed on when the service man was to arrive. We were not inconvienced at all.
We will certainly be back frequently and will tell everyone about this wonderful place to stay. I would, however, keep in mind there are stairs going down to the home and there is a train bridge a few houses awa. However. we learned alot about trains as well.
This will be our go to place to stay when we are in Seattle. We expect to be there often as we are looking for a permanent change and will use Gina's place as "headquarters" for our search of new places to live. If her place was for sale, I would buy in a minute. Don't miss out on this home. A great home for everyone.
My husband and our mothers stayed in this beautifully appointed home for 4 nights. Gina was easy to work with. The pictures are accurate and the home is slightly bigger and brighter in reality. The house was very clean, comfortable and in great shape. It looks newly remodeled. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The living room couch was very comfortable. The view from here is ~160 degrees of water from the train bridge to the sound inlet to the small bay to the left! The bathroom looks very new with an easy to get into, large shower. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and the bed is very comfortable. The 2 smaller bedroom beds were OK. There is a lanai just off the living room. Also, down ~15 steps there is a almost water level terrace. Each with seating for everyone! The view is ever changing. It was hard to go do the Seattle sites with such a spectacular view from the house & decks. You will pass a great coffee house,Caffe Appassionato Coffee; on your way to and from the house. The fisherman's terminal is about a mile away and has 3 restaurants that we like. We loved this property & its location. We would select this home again and have suggested it to our friends.
The property was nice and the View was great. It claimed to have air condition but was controlled by the owners unit above so you could not adjust heat/a/c or turn the fan on for circulation. Not cool
we had 3 wonderful days in Seattle and the Waterfront Home is a big part of the good memories from it.
Not sure that I can describe this special property in words alone. It is truly a magical place. Our only regret was that we only stayed there for 3 nights. Both my husband and daughter and I kept saying that we wished we had stayed longer and would have easily have cut out the first portion of our vacation to stay at Gina's home. From the moment we walked in and saw the stunning views to the calming effect that the house had on us, it was love at first sight. This was exactly the right location for us to unwind from our normal hectic L.A. life. Gina left us treats and a personalized welcome note (which I have kept by the way) on the kitchen table which was a nice touch. The furnishings in her home are actually nicer than what you see in the pictures. The rooms are decorated very tastefully and are immaculate. The kitchen had all of the supplies that we needed and the bathrooms were also stocked with plenty of paper goods, towels and even small items that we may have forgotten at home. Some travelers mentioned the nearby train track and at first I was a bit concerned about the noise because I am an extremely light sleeper. However, I have to say that it did not bother me one bit and I was never awakened by the train going by. Overall, the neighborhood is very quiet and when you are inside, all you hear is complete silence. We arrived when there was a bit of a heat wave, however, the house stayed very cool and comfortable the entire time we were there. We were also very pleased to meet Gina once during our stay-- not because there were any issues with anything, but we ran into her when she was watering her plants. She is a very lovely person and I'm glad I was able to meet her in person. We are all looking forward to our next visit to Seattle and staying at this very special property. Thanks again Gina for sharing your wonderful home with us!

This is a wonderful location to enjoy, however if you want to host an 'event' or gathering of more than 10 people please choose another location. Parties will not be tolerated.
Honesty goes a long way when renting here. Please be straightforward about who will be staying.
If you choose to let your children run wild, please stay elsewhere. This is a nice home & yard in an upper end neighborhood.
