About Gina

Of the homes we have owned, this is by far the most fascinating and enjoyable! The waterfront is very active, local sights and great restaurants are within walking distance. A quick drive and you are in the heart of Seattle visiting Pike Place Market, the Space Needle or shopping. I think you will find this is the perfect location for your Seattle vacation.

Gina purchased this house in 2008

What makes this house unique

I am no scientist, but I have read that in environments with salt tinged sea air (like this Waterfront) an abundance of negative ions(electrically charged atoms) are found, which increases the brains serotonin levels, thereby giving an overall feeling of well being and energy. That's pretty great!

Stay Here!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Gina’s beautiful house with our two adult kids after attending a wedding on San Juan Island. The only one in our family who had ever visited Seattle was my husband and he warned us ahead of time we would not want to return to Maryland. He was right. Gina’s place was the perfect home base for our stay. The home is well appointed, clean, comfortable, and the views of the harbor and beyond never got old.

On the first day, we couldn’t rally to go downtown because of all the visual stimuli we were taking in from the deck or through the huge living room windows. Not to bore you with nature details, but we saw seals, herons, sea otters, kingfishers, and hummingbirds. Ho hum! The Ballard Locks are a short walk away. The ship traffic, trains, and salmon ladders kept my husband entertained for hours. For getting downtown, we opted for hassle-free public transportation (bus) which we picked up in another section of Magnolia.

Bottom line… Gina is a lovely person and we can wholeheartedly recommend that you stay at this great place when you visit Seattle. We hope to stay there again sometime.

p.s. - Don’t forget to visit the Fremont Troll…

Amazing view and beautiful condo !!!

  • 5 of 5

Better than expected. What a beautiful location. The condo is impeccable and nicely decorated. the extra touches that the host provided made our family visit extra special.

There was never ending ocean entertainment of shops , gulls and sea life.

The train does run by but we thought it added to the charm of the location and it didn't bother us at all.

We would stay here again for a group visit to Seattle!!!

Once Again, Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our week-long stay was excellent, with only one issue. It wasn't long enough! We had previously stayed last June/July for a month, which gave us time to enjoy all of the things this fantastic location offers.

The home is situated like no other, with views of Salmon Bay and the daily boat traffic, along with the train bridge rising and lowering. A Bald Eagle visited a neighbor's dock, both adult seals and pups swam by in their search for salmon fry, spawning salmon were passing through the fish ladder, the large and small locks were buzzing with activity, the Great Blue Heron rookery was in full swing, and generally there was lots to see and do.

We noticed new living room furniture that was very comfortable for the few moments we weren't pressed up against the windows observing the activity. Discovery Park, a very short drive or walk up the street, provided hours of hiking and viewing. Visiting downtown Seattle was a snap from here, giving access to the Public Market, Space Needle, Chihuly exhibit, etc. Magnolia is a lovely community, and crossing the locks gets you to Ballard which has much to offer also.

All in all, it's simply the best place to stay when visiting Seattle. We plan to stay as often, and as long, as we possibly can each time we visit the Seattle area. For more information, please refer to my earlier review from this past summer.

Wow what a view!

  • 5 of 5

We just recently spent eight nights in this lovely magical setting. Everything is just so beautifully landscaped in front and either walkway down the steps or the stairs is so lush with ground cover. When you open the front door and see the view it is just so beautiful. All the rooms are decorated so nicely. Everything you could possibly need for your stay is provided. The location to Ballard and Discovery Park is a short walk away. You can stroll to Ballard and not worry about parking. Watching the boats come thru the locks along with all the sea birds is quite a mesmerizing experience. We can't wait to stay here again it's just perfect.

Gina has put a lot of TLC in her place and it really shows.
