A real estate professional who has owned properties since 2000. I grew up in Lancaster, Pa amongst the Amish. My parents were from Philadelphia and we often visited there and Baltimore when the Inner Harbor was first developed. I live in Baltimore City and love how the Harbpr has improved more and more each year. Treasure on Thames was a corporate property then it transitioned to a short term rental with VRBO in 2011. Baltimore is a gem on the eastern seaboard. It has all of the amenities of a big city, but with small town charm - hence, Charm City. Treasure on Thames has been a fun project for my two boys and I. I love decorating so you will find a crisp, creative atmosphere in the property. I am always available to discuss the property or for any advice about your visit. Come stay with an original Vrbo member! Call me anytime at 410-458-9069.
Stephanie B. Steinmetz purchased this townhome in 2003
The townhome is located in a historically charming, safe, beautiful, eclectic, and convenient area of downtown Baltimore. This area is historic Fells Point. Close to Johns Hopkins hospital and PERFECT for Conventions because the convention center is close by. It is in the immediate vicinity of Baltimore's best and most reknowned restaurants, galleries, and bars. Live music and fabulous entertainment are steps from your door. The world famous Inner Harbor is directly across the street from the property where you can sail and explore numerous water-related adventures. A popular yoga studio is directly across the street from the property along with a relaxing day spa. Pitango coffee house offers fresh made organic bread, coffee, and delicious sandwiches and is a perfect place to catch up on work with outside seating and a water view. The water taxi can enable you to explore other nearby harbor attractions.
Restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and a farmer's markets are footsteps away featuring local foods, art, music, and more. Here you will interact with friendly Baltimore locals, artists, musicians, business people, and families. Come stay where the actual locals live, relax, and play!
The bike, walking, and running path is right out the door and goes all away around the Harbor. Enjoy the bikes that are provided for an added way to explore Baltimore and the historic, nautical environment. Also, Treasure on Thames is located on a park and the back of the property faces an English Garden.
Baltimore is a thriving and energetic gem centrally located on the eastern seaboard. Art, theatre, restaurants, and the people make it a truly great city! This is a safe neighborhood where you will find a true Treasure. Location,, Location, Location - this is what listing 337370 has to offer along with Cleanlieness and not being directly on a busy street.
Staying at this property you'll enjoy all the benefits of home away from it in an historical and safe neighborhood. The location is the best in the short term arena in Baltimore! Also you can be in the heart of the business and entertainment district just by walking out of the door, not to say a lot of the major hospitals are just few miles away. Perfect for attending a convention at the Baltimore Convention center and in a better and more local neighborhood.
We needed a place for our family to stay while my wife was undergoing surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. This property was perfectly suited for our needs and accommodations. It si located only about a 8 minute ride to Hopkins so it was very convenient for us to make many trips back and forth to the hospital. In addition, located in Fells Point, made it very convenient for us to experience great dining spots and other shops. Finally, Stephanie is a wonderful host who is organized, conscientious and did all she could to make our visit to Baltimore most comfortable during our stay.
Right in the middle of Fell's point, the location of this house couldn't have been better. Not too far to walk to all the inner harbour locations and for those less energetic there is easy access to the water taxi. The house itself is well maintained and comfortable with 3 good sized rooms and plenty living space. The private parking is an extra bonus. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Baltimore.
My family and I stayed at Stephanie's place for my sister's graduation back in May. Stephanie was very easy to talk to and get a hold of. I appreciated all of her tips and her instructions to get to/in the property were easy to follow. The one parking spot was VERY convenient. Fells Point is such a great place to stay in Baltimore. There are many wonderful restaurants and running along the harbor is a great way to work it off. Thank you so much!
We stayed at Treasure on Thames for a guys weekend to catch a game at Camden Yards and the house was perfect. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us, and with the house being only a couple of miles away from the ballpark, it was a perfect location. There were several great bars and restaurants right around the corner from the house so there was plenty to do and places to go right outside the front door. Stephanie was very easy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
I highly recommend staying here if you want to catch a game at Camden Yards, be in the middle of historic Fells Point, or Baltimore in general as this place is right in the middle of everything and easy access to all of what Fells Point and the surrounding area has to offer. I will definitely look to stay here again when I come back to Baltimore for a baseball game or just to visit.
My family and I recently stayed at this property to attend our daughter's graduation. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The property is spacious and had comfortable sleeping for 6 guests. The outside deck overlooking the courtyard was beautiful and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. Parking was located right outside the entrance which made getting in and out with luggage, etc. very easy. The property is withing walking distance of great restaurants, shops, etc. Stephanie was very kind and recommended a great restaurant which we greatly enjoyed. We hope we will have another opportunity to come back to Baltimore and enjoy Stephanie's home.
As other reviewers have said, ideal location and a wonderful property for groups small or large. The three of us, middle age and older men, were in town for 4 nights. We have been visiting Balt. at least once a year for the past 14 years and staying in Fells Point for the last 12. This was our first time in Stephanie's townhouse but it will definitely not be our last. It is much larger than the "historic" houses we have stayed at in the past. We ate out most of the time-everything in Fells Point is within 2 to 10 minutes easy walking distance-but the kitchen is large and outstandingly equipped. At home I am a cook from scratch person and I was surprised how complete the kitchen was. There was everything I would have needed to prepare a gourmet meal for a dozen people, both appliance and utensil wise as well as a large dining room. Bedrooms were roomy and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment is well arranged with public and private space. Plenty of room to gather yet room to relax by oneself if one wishes. We three always take the train into Balt. however there is a dedicated secure covered parking space right out the back door which is a huge plus in Fells PT. This place will now be my first choice whenever we return to the area.
Lots of live music in the immediate area. Great restaurants and bars, festivals, and outdoor movies in the summer time. Central location. Walk to everything that you need. Close to JHU, central business district of Baltimore, University of Maryland, Convention Center, Inner Harbor, Penn Station, JHU Bayview, and much, much more!
