This is a family owned property. Our son's Bill, Steve and grandchildren, Lliam and Aidan all love 'the cabins'. This property is close to our heart. We always try to meet our guests. We hope that they are enjoying themselves and will go out of our way to make sure this happens.
Teresa O'Leary purchased this cabin in 2005
Purchased primarily because of the proximity to the lake and the beautiful cabin interior.
Swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, campfires, charcoal grill cooking, serenity, simplicity, downtime, alone time, hanging with family, close to good restaurants. Great weekend place for Tough Mudders, before and after the race.
The cabin was just as listed. It was clean and had all we needed to relax and enjoy our mini vacation. The location is just right as it is near amenities such as a gas station, grocery store and entertainment, but is also right on the lake with plenty of natural beauty all around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on renting the cabin again in the summer when we can also take advantage of getting outside more when it is not so cold and going boating on the lake.
Very functional and clean, great for a weekend getaway with old friends. Kept us nice and warm even though the temperature was in the teens. Surrounding area is beautiful.
my girlfriend and I absolutely loved this place - the cabin was toasty warm from the moment we got in, and the owners were both responsive and very friendly. We stayed 4 days, our friends came for 3 and enjoyed the cabin as well. It was a brisk weekend so the fireplace saw a lot of use! Comfy beds, just the right amount of space for a group of 4 (though in the summer it could easily suit more, when there's ample opportunity to get out and about). The roads leading to the cabin were a little tricky on our arrival since it was very late at night, but highbeams help - the owners provided a pdf with details regarding the address/GPS necessities which made it a lot smoother. Some nice local fare nearby in town - we tried and adored the Newfoundland Hotel.
Rented all four cabins for birthday celebration. Everyone had a great time! Cabins were comfortable and clean. The owners were accommodating! The kids and some adults enjoyed fishing in the lake. This was our third trip to the cabins. Thank you Teresa and Larry!
