House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-12)

WELCOME TO FAULKNER'S LANDING

This lakefront home sits atop a beautiful bluff in Horse Creek Cove, with soaring trees and a million-dollar view. Enjoy the privacy this 1.3-acre home gives you while enjoying easy access to your private dock (with boat lift), three sea doo slips as well as a swim dock. This home has a 150 feet of lake front with views from almost every room.

This pristine cove on Grand Lake is large enough and deep enough for all your boating activities (sea dooing, boating, skiing, tubing) yet secluded enough that it feels like your own private oasis. The water is average 20 feet deep off dock so fishing is great. A full-service marina is within a 5 minute boat ride where you can rent boats as well.

The home has an open concept for the kitchen, living and dining so the cooks don't feel left out. The living room is large and able to accommodate many people with two sofas, two club chairs and ottoman and 47 inch LCD flat screen television with bose surround sound.

All three bedrooms have pillow top queen beds and one of the sofas pulls out to a queen as well. All bedrooms have 32 in LCD flat screen televisions with blue ray dvd players. We also have two twin air matresses (good for children only). Maximum 12 people.

The front of the home is tree lined with a park like setting. The back of the house faces the lake. There is a deck that is over 80 feet long. Half the deck is covered and the other half is perfect for sunning. It has a table and chairs that sits 6, a fire pit that sits 8 and two lounge chairs that all have amazing lake front views. Off to the side of the deck is a picnic table for extra dining seating.

The dock has a covered boat slip with boat lift that is 20 feet long. No boats over 22 feet are allowed to tie to dock. As well as no pontoon, tripoon or sail boats are allowed to tie to dock.

Conveniently located 50 minutes from Tulsa and 45 minutes from Joplin. It is a 15 minutes to Grove which has many restaurants, antique shops, boating stores, super walmart as well as many activities and festivals during the year.

Please take time to review our 'location' map as we have mapped out for you many activities, restaurants, marinas, shopping, boat launch and helpful information to utilize during your stay.

About Kimberly Faulkner

We want your stay to be as comfortable and easy as possible. We don't want you to have to spend hours of research trying to figure out where to go eat, shop, rent boats or any other activities you wish to do. So we have done it for you. We mapped out and described over 55 sites including addresses, hours of operation and phone numbers. Everything listed is 15 miles or less with the exception of 7 which are all less than 20 miles. With the vast majority of them being less than 10 miles. There are activities listed most people don't even know about. Please take time to review our map. If you look under the Dollar Store icon there is 'view guide' in blue. Click on this and you will see all 55 items on the location map along with full descriptions. Although these are far from the only things to do at Grand Lake, they are some of our favorites.

Why Kimberly Faulkner chose Oklahoma

This home is located on the shores of beautiful Grand Lake O'the Cherokees, situated in the foothills of the Ozarks. This area is blessed with natural beauty. As soon as I walk in the front door all my stresses are forgotten and a feeling of peace takes hold of me.

What makes this house unique

Location, Location, Location. This home sits 5 miles from Interstate 44, 3 miles from Historic Route Highway 66, 4 miles from Highway 59 and 4 miles from highway 85 keeping your driving times at a minimum. This unique location sits right in the middle of every thing to do and every where to go. As you can see from the detailed map below. If you are looking for breath taking views, ours has the best bar none. The home sits on an acreage with beautiful tall pine trees and gives you a lot of privacy and tranquility. It is one of the few coves left on the lake that still feels private, pristine and yet is large enough and deep enough to do all your boating activities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for letting my family stay at your amazing lake home. The views were absolutely stunning and wonderful to wake up to. The covered back porch was my favorite as I could watch my family on the lake while I layed back in a chaise. Your home was adorable, beautifully kept with a very french country feel. We also enjoyed your dock as we only had to launch our boat ONCE and then kept it safely on the dock until we were ready to leave... how refreshing! The dock was very large (larger than I thought) and my husband and I loved sitting in chairs down there while our children played.

Perfect Retreat Spot

  • 5 of 5

Unbelievable views, tons of room inside and out, everything you need on site, hydrohoist (which is ultra convenient), great fishing in the cove with marina, boat launch and plenty of room to play, huge deck, about 5 minutes off I-44 yet extremely secluded, great communication with property manager and owner, both very accommodating and easy to work with. What more can I say......Wish we could have stayed longer!

Peaceful Beautiful relaxing DIVINE VACATION

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this property and I must say it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had together. The home was cozy and very well stocked. It was clean and the patio was to die for. We spent many mornings days and evenings on it just enjoying the lake view and visiting. Location is just far enough away from town that you feel secluded but still have the convenience of anything you might want or need although the house was stocked with everything. Beds were comfortable and space was very accommodating. Can't wait to go back next year.

Extremely clean and well-maintined property with an oustanding view of the lake.

  • 5 of 5

First off, I have to say the view from the living room, two of the bedrooms and the back patio is breath taking. I had absolutely no idea that a view like this existed in Oklahoma. The lake view from the property is just outstanding. You can see the water while cooking, watching television, or relaxing in the bedrooms or living room as well as dining outside or roasting out at the fire pit located on the back patio. On top of the view, the house has been extremely well cleaned and maintained. We had no issues with any part of the house being dirty, which made us feel comfortable and right at home.

We also enjoyed the fact that we had access to the private dock located down the stairs in the back of the house. We were able to fish right off the dock and did not have to share it with any strangers, which made for a relaxing afternoon down at the lake. .We drove into town one morning to look at some of the local shops. Grove has a large number of antique stores that are a blast to look through. The town also has a large selection of delicious restaurants, many of which are even lake front. I give this property a five star rating and intend to revisit in the near future.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We had the greatest time during our stay at Faulkner's Landing! We were happy to find the home exactly as the video showed on their website. The home was very clean, well kept and well stocked. The views were breathtaking! Enjoyed the sunrise on the deck with coffee, so peaceful. The cove it is located in was huge and we felt like it was our own private lake. We definitely will be back!

Nice accommodations but needs some upkeep

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at Faulkner's Landing for a weekend in July. The house was pretty nice, was comfortable and had a great view! There were a few things that detracted from our stay though. First off, access to the dock is down about 90 extremely steep steps. Dangerously steep. We were vacationing with our 80 year old grandparents and they were unable to participate in any lake activities at the house because the steps down to the dock were impossible for them to get down or up. The website mentions easy access to the dock, which I find extremely misleading. That was our first disappointment. Secondly, the outdoor area which looks beautiful in the pictures was infested with wasps and spiders. The furniture around the firepit is old and moldy. The entire outdoor area could use a serious power washing. We were excited to have meals at the outdoor table but were unable to due to the wasps that had homes in the wall behind the table. At night, the spiders came out in force! I know some of this is inevitable in the summer in the woods, but this could have been minimized with a thorough cleaning. The only other complaint was some of the accommodations inside. The dining room only had chairs for 4. It could easily seat 6 but for a house that boasts accommodations for 12, a bigger dining table would be nice. Thankfully there were plenty of coffee mugs :), but there were only 6 forks, and a couple cups.

On a good note, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of sheets and blankets. The air mattresses don't hold air for a night, so if you need one bring your own. The couches were comfy and there was lots of games and entertainment. The view was spectacular. Except for the access to the dock, which was wonderful once you made it down there, all the other complaints are fixable and our stay was great anyway.

Owner's Response: We try to give full disclosure. Not only in the description do we put there are 72 steps down to dock we also show the video of the steps down to the dock on this site as well. The steps are solid just being replaced last year and both hand rails on both sides are solid. I agree I don't think an 80 year old would navigate these easily but that is why we put the video on the site for people to make their own decisions before they book. I'm sorry you didn't take advantage of this before you made your choice. We also have video of the entire inside of the home including the table and 4 chairs. I'm sorry you encountered spiders outside of the home but the home is located in the middle of an country acreage and it is impossible for us to keep the yard without any bugs. We do however keep the home sprayed and never have issues inside the home.
