We have lived on Snead Island for 24 years and couldn't resist buying this cool house and turning it into a very unique place to come and visit.
The Owner purchased this house in 2010
We try and cater to our guests by visiting with them on their arrival and determining any needs they might have during their stay.
"Right on the water, is literally true. The living room and outside deck of this awesome home are only a few feet from the mile-wide Manatee River and sited so you get a fabulous view of the sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the inside furnished with everything we needed for our stay. We were there for a wedding and there were only 2 of us, but a family would find plenty of room. The location made it quick and easy to get to the beach and St Arman's Circle for some great shopping. Plus there is a beautiful state park that we rode the bikes to and hiked the Indian mounds, it was awesome. We loved it and hope to return some day very soon.
The fishing was easy because of the great location of the house. Local Dining was excellent, went back to the same place two nights in a row. Trying to schedule our next trip back to the Cut House.
We picked this property for its proximity to the Sunshine Skyway Pier. But we ended up spending most of our time right in the back yard. Boasting an incredible amount of frontage on a deepwater channel between the Manatee River and Terra Ceia Bay with gentle currents and an astonishing variety of fish and marine mammals. Nicely equipped for comfortable fishing and also for sunbathing or just lounging and enjoying the water views. Also a boater's dream. Nearby launches and endless dockage await you with effortless access to the river and bay.
Owners are very responsive and easy to work with. Can't recommend this one enough.
We loved being at the Cut house on the water. Across form the Yacht Club, boats to watch, lots of birds especially pelicans, and wildlife and gorgeous sunsets. Great park to bike or even walk to with Gulf walks and views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Lots of places to eat and explore. January was a chilly month, but that did not surprise us. The owner was very responsive with answers to questions, ideas and assistance.
I was very happy with my stay in this vintage/updated house. It was so comfortable inside and beautifully landscaped outside. I felt so safe and had a great time watching the many yachts pull into the Marina. I went kayaking one day and there was awesome little islands too see. Emerson point is a must see. I loved walking the trails!! I would suggest this spot for everyone to enjoy!! Wait no I don't because I want it to be available for my next trip!
There is four lot's for new builds right around the corner called Redfish Cove. Maybe I can talk my hubby into getting the Bokeelia plan for me and I could have my own piece of paradise!!
Thanks Jeff for all your attention to detail!!
Our family had a wonderful time during our stay at the Cut House. We spent time relaxing, watching the endless parade of boats and gorgeous sunsets, also fishing (caught huge redfish!) and kayaking where we saw fish jumping and a ton of playful manatee! This vacation spot is such a unique setting and different from most "beach houses" we have stayed at before. We thoroughly enjoyed our little family get-away at the Cut House- perfect way to end the summer before school started. We highly recommend a visit to the Cut House, you won't regret it!
Brought our family to this beautiful spot for spring break and we had the time of our lives. With a small boat you can access the river or the bay depending on winds and waves. The house is very neat and clean and it's unique separate quarters and outside facilities were awesome for the kids. Perfectly landscaped and well equipped, the owners have done a great job of providing everything you need. We definitely hope to return soon.
The Cut House is located right on the water in laid back Palmetto. You have great access to Shopping, Museums, Planetarium, Plays and Concerts. Tampa Airport is only 35 min drive and Disney World is only 75 min drive. Great beaches are only minutes away and the boating , kayaking and fishing is superb. There is a great park called Emerson Point Park, only a mile away that is perfect for a bike ride, hike or a place to take the dog for an outing.
