About David Bentley

We have been coming to 'God's Country' for many years now. We hope you find our mountain home warm, relaxing and stress free while you enjoy your stay with us. Our home is your home, or as the Spanish say, 'Mi Casa es tu Casa'.

Enjoy!!

David Bentley purchased this cabin in 2004

Why David Bentley chose North Georgia Mountains

We bought our home to be close to my Dad who lived in Scaly Mountain, NC for 20+ years. My wife and I have been entertaining friends and family at our home now for nearly nine years. We always look forward to staying here. The best times have been in the Fall (When the leaves change color), Thanksgiving, Christmas and the 4th of July. We hope you find it as inviting as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

There is so much to do. From my home, you are close to some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen. You'll never get bored. Plus, there is so much to do and many great stores and restaurants just minutes away. Our home is close to hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes and legendary sightseeing adventures such as the drive through the Smokeys, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the 250 room French Chateau Biltmore House located in Asheville, NC the 'Paris of the South'. You won't have enough time to see everything, so make plans to come back over and over again.

Guestbook comments from the manager

I took a team of 9 (4 couples and one single) for a leadership offsite. We needed lots of sleeping space, but a large area where we could bring out the post it notes and work!! This wonderful cabin offered both!! High in to the North Georgia Mountains, we were able to get away, while also having all the amenities we needed-like internet and cable. This fully furnished cabin has a modern "rustic" feel to it. Every room was decorated and was very easy to relax in. A pre-established fire pit allowed a Friday night fire that the team happily made smores around. We had a need for wood and some paper products and the gracious hosts/owners ran those items to us almost immediately. We felt more like honored guests than renters. If you are looking for a great place to relax and bring a big group, I highly recommend this cabin!!

Side Notes: For dinner , drive down the mountain to the Wicked Pig BBQ!! This could quite possibly be the best BBQ we have ever eaten. A few of our team members stopped back through on the way back home. You will Love it!!

Well equipped home, helpful host!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our group! We loved getting to use the grill and the fire pit. Everyone enjoyed seeing the stars and doing hikes nearby. It's so close to town but doesn't feel that way! Also David was very helpful and attentive during our visit. Thank you!

  • 4 of 5

As a small family gathering, we enjoyed ourselves , everything was nice but there were a few things that was annoying but overall LOVED IT. THE SET UP WAS EVERYTHING I COULD OF ASK FOR. BUT you do have to plan your activies ahead of time. Bring extra toilet paper and bath towels . Weather was perfect. Owner is very nice😎?.

Girls Weekend

This cabin was perfect for our needs. We ate breakfast and lunch there, and dinner out. We played games and talked and enjoyed listening to the rain. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and in a good location for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was a great place with privacy and room for everyone at our mini women's retreat.

  • 5 of 5

The weekend was a time away for the volunteers of our non-profit ministry to women who struggle in life with many kinds of difficulties. Everything we needed, for our time away to do advanced training and relax together, was provided and enjoyed by everyone. Thank you so much for a lovely peaceful place and more than adequate provision throughout the cabin. It was a blessing for us all. Will definitely consider coming back again.
