We live in Jackson NH about 5 min. from our rental property. We have three kids, one in college and two have graduated. We are avid skiers and have lived in the Mount Washington Valley for over 20 years.
Becky Armstrong purchased this cabin in 2008
We were married in Jackson and always wanted to move here. We originally bought the cabin as a retirement property but have since bought another house to live in, in Jackson. The cabin is in a perfect location, only 2 miles from Black Mountain, 8 miles from Wildcat, 5 miles to Attitash and a mile to the village.
This is the ultimate romantic and cozy log cabin, once featured on the cover of an L.L. Bean catalog. The property is perfectly located in a quaint New England village, with covered bridges, beautiful mountain views, great restaurants, only minutes to world-class x-country skiing and some of the best downhill skiing in the east. For the kids, Storyland is only 5 minutes away. The village of Jackson has many amenities which include two golf courses, ice skating, fishing and hiking trails. North Conway with its famous outlet shopping is only 15 minutes down the road.
Hello Becky and Davey,
We just wanted to send a note of thanks for the cabin rental. We had a great time and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Your home is very cozy and comfortable.
This beautiful, rustic cabin was the perfect getaway after our wedding! Quiet and relaxing and just far enough away from everything. The hot tub was fantastic and the champagne left by Becky and David was the perfect touch! Thank you so much! Definitely want to go back.

David was a wonderful host and gave us all the information we would need about the place when he gave us the initial tour. We felt comfortable there and it was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The photos are accurate and the full cabin was even better than expected with a kitchen that was stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans. My husband and I went for a getaway weekend on our own but the place could easily sleep 6. We hope to go back some day!
We arrived the day before a snowstorm! What a perfect place to be "stranded" for a day! We loved the warmth of the stoves and fireplace, the well supplied kitchen, the comfy beds...and the close proximity to town. Snowshoeing around Mirror Lake and on the Ellis River Trail was a highlight of the trip. Thank you, Becky and David, for accommodating us! We had a great time :)
This was precisely what we were looking for. Not only was the log cabin perfect for our needs, it was beyond our needs. Charming, rustic, clean, secluded but nearby all the hotspots. Couldn't have asked for better hosts than this couple. They were more than accommodating and acted as if you were family, and they didn't bother you, but were only a call away if needed. Could stay here forever, and we couldn't thank you both enough. Would love to come again. Ronnie And Suzi
Our visit to Jackson, NH and our stay in this cabin will be remembered as one of the best we'll ever have. Stumbled upon this cabin while searching for a unique trip with winter fun for my wife's birthday. Becky (owner) had extremely fast response time with any questions or recommendations for the local area. We had 3 couples all of whom were blown away by how amazing this place was.
Upon arrival, David (owner) met us at the property with a very warm welcome: the fireplaces lit and lights on ready to show us around and answer questions. Its a great location a few minutes from the center of town which has some great spots. It gave us comfort that the owners live just down the road (so they are available for any concerns, questions) and really seem to love the area due to the fact they own 2 rental properties and a home in Jackson.
The cabin was so clean and although appearing 'rustic' it really didn't have the feeling of being old, outdated or living in the woods. Plenty of parking for 3 cars. It had all of the amenities that you could imagine: all kitchen supplies (utensils, bowls, cooking dishes, pots/pans, coffee pot with filters, keurig, glass ware, dishes, dishwasher, new-ish refridgerator), laundry (with detergent), cable, very fast wifi, clean sheets/beds, toilet paper, paper towels, automatic door lock with a pin code. The fireplaces were wonderful. The hot tub was a great addition to have and I would say it is made for 4 (so kind of small) but if you are with bigger people maybe only do 3 at a time in there. The bedrooms all worked out great: 2 bedrooms with 1 queen and a bathroom in 1 and a queen and 2 twins in another with no bathroom. very comfortable for close friends or a family.
I can't say enough positive things and am so happy that we booked this for a truly memorable weekend. The whole group agreed we cannot wait to go back again. Thank you Becky and Davey!
In the heart of the Mt Washington Valley, Jackson Village is a beautiful New England town with covered bridges and Mt views. The Saco River winds throughout the area and gorgeous Mt Washington looms majestically above the town. You can climb or drive to the peak in both Summer and Winter seasons and enjoy the view which stretches all the way to Canada. Jackson Falls is a sight to see, cascading over the rocks into Jackson Village with it's pristine golf course, churches and country shops. This place is magical!
