Angel Fire House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bdrms: has king bds & pvt full bath, smart tvs sleeps 6 in beds & 2 on foldout

FIBER OPTICS and boy, the internet is fast. No buffering - not even on Netflix! This house has large decks, front and back. Very open with a two door ventilating FP sitting between the living room and kitchen. All one level, friendly to the youngest and the not so young. It has a large "open" pantry, need something and don't want to make the store run, help yourself. Want to make a contribution to the panty - always welcome. Refrigerator has two ice makers. W/D extra large load capacity. No more having to share bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own private full and wall mounted Smart Tvs. This house features one of the most well equipped kitchens you will find in any rental. I did this on purpose, I have rented vacation homes and about fainted when I tried to prepare a meal. Not this kitchen - have no worries. Large Crock pot, George foreman grill, espresso machine, mixers, blenders, 12 place setting dishware, etc. etc. etc. Two and a half car garage, heated if you need it. It has it's own thermostat. Great place for your skiers to come in, get warm and remove all their snow covered boots and gear.

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only
  • pets not allowed

About Peter Kuhlmann

My name is Linda and my husband is Peter. We live on a lake named Possum Kingdom which is 2 hours west of Ft.Worth, Texas. My husband retired from the inventory business after 30 years. I have previously been in real estate but gave that up to raise our children and manage our personal real estate. Now we have the time to travel and so we made our way back to Angel Fire. I was born in Dallas, Tx., my husband was born in Hungary but migrated to the U.S. at the age of 9. He grew up in the Spokane, Wa. area. We settled down together in Colleyville, Tx., raised 4 children. When we aren't at home on the lake, or in Angel Fire we spend time in the Bay Islands, Roatan, Honduras. We have been very blessed and enjoy sharing these beautiful places with friends and families. If you love traveling to the Caribbean, check out VRBO #336773 our Sundancer Villa directly on the beach in Roatan.

Peter Kuhlmann purchased this house in 2016

Why Peter Kuhlmann chose New Mexico

We previously owned a condo in Angel Fire for about 12 years but then our children grew up and started their own families. We sold the condo about 8 years ago but Angel Fire kept calling us back. It's a family oriented resort and boy, now we have a large family so we decided to return and purchase a much larger place to accommodate our growing family. We owned a lot up behind the country club for years, paying utilities and resort dues for nothing but an empty lot so we decided to build on the lot, put both up for sale and which ever sold first we would keep the other. Well, our house sold full price within the first week. We started building on the lot that had just sat there for years and now we have beautiful new house with 3 bedrooms, each one has its own full private bathroom, a powder room off the living room, a table that seats 8, large deck on the front and back of the house. and lots of space for entertaining. Each room has it's own smart TV for Netflix, etc. Our dish network package includes lots of movie channels and internet is FIBER OPTICS!! Wish we had that at our homes at the lake and on the island. Kitchen deserves bragging rights - more than "well" equipped, so we have been told. Gas grill and propane tank sits on the back deck, our favorite past time, grilling.

What makes this house unique

Lowes is our local grocery store. Complete line of groceries, produce, meat and adult beverages as well as a Subway. Lowes Grocery as well as the convenience store a block away has gas and diesel. Angel Fire hosts music festivals thru out the year, check their calendar for upcoming events. Taos and Red River are about equal distances from AF. Taos is about 25 miles back to the left. Lots of Art Galleries, shopping, skiing and restaurants. Red River is about 25 miles back to the right. Very crowded if you prefer being around LOTS of people and they are know for the night life and live music . I love going there and people watching and having lunch but I personally enjoy the more laid back, family atmosphere of Angel Fire. We are very family oriented, the ski slopes can be as easy as a person likes for beginner but also offers very challenging blacks for the more experiences skiier. Personally, I love my wide beautiful Blue runs. Heaven for me.

Love this place

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I rented this beautiful home for a girls get away. It was a beautiful home and is well taken care of. It's close to everything exciting and fun! I would think most people rent this home during ski season, but think again..it's a wonderful cool place for the summer too! We had a blast, and would recommend this house for your summer retreat! We will be back!! We give it 5 stars!

WE HAD A BALL PLAYING CARDS WATCHING ALL THE ANIMALS IN THE GREEN BELT EVERY NIGHT. WE WERE ABLE TO GO ANYWHERE IN A SHORT TIME AND SAVED MANY DOLLARS BY STAYING THE KHAULMANN......THEY HAD MANY EXTRAS THAT MOST RENTERS DON'T LET YOU USE..WE LOVE THE PLACE AND WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR.

THANKS FOR LETTTING US STAY THERE...

Home away from home in Angel Fire

  • 4 of 5

My family and I, including grandparents, made our first trip to Angel Fire and weren't sure about places to stay. This house was exactly what we needed. It was literally 5 minutes to the base of the slopes and allowed our kids and us the opportunity to get out sled, throw snowballs, and build snowmen; all right next to the house. Great location, plenty of room, and easy access. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel as though the towels, linens, and bedspreads could be updated. Other than that, it was a great place to stay and we enjoyed it.

Spring Break Delight!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six spent a full week here and we felt very at home. This house was equipped with all the modern amenities we "need" to function. Spacious living room, televisions in every room, beds for everyone, washer and dryer and three bathrooms. It was nice not having to buy extras like spices or oil for cooking, as the kitchen was stocked. The greenbelt was definitely our favorite thing. Wildlife, sledding and our attempt at a snowman were enjoyed out there. Lifelong memories were made at your beautiful cabin. Thank you!

Angel Fire Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I loved beautiful home during our President's Day weekend at Angel Fire!!!!! This was the first time for our boys to ski and they both did fantastic!! I can not express enough how simply beautiful and amazing this home was for us. The owner was so nice and helpful and quick to respond to my emails with questions. My husband and I agreed that we found our forever stay as long as it was able to rent out!! This has been our favorite place of all and we have stayed in many! Thank you again for all your help in making our stay at Angel Fire one that will never be forgotten!!!

Great place to stay!

  • 4 of 5

This is a very nice property in a lovely location! The kitchen is very well equipped and the family room is large and inviting. The master bedroom and master bath are huge. We really enjoyed the fireplace. It is fairly close to the ski resort and all of the neighbors are nice. The owners are terrific and responded to emails and phone calls quickly. We never could get the wi-fi to work. (My son wondered about the router.) We did enjoy watching Christmas movies with the Dish TV and playing games at the huge kitchen table! The master bath has a large soaker tub and a shower. The only complaints were that the step down into the master bath kept tripping us up (until we got used to it) and getting up the hill in a snowstorm is a real challenge. This house is in a beautiful and quiet location. It is a comfortable place and we had a great time!

Ski lift is open year round. In the summertime head to the top and play some disc golf, have lunch, your favorite beverage or just do some sight seeing and hiking. Sit on the front or back deck and enjoy the deer and elk as they do their strolls thru the neighborhood year round. If you are lucky enough to see a bear, just stand up and make noise, they will take off in the opposite direction - real fast! Twenty years and I have seen one, my husband was lucky enough to see a second one, but I keep watching. They are really beautiful and amazing.
