Completed in 2009, this 3 level 1400 sq. ft. upscale Villa Verde1 condo, offers 3 bedrooms, including a large master bedroom suite, 3.5 custom baths, and a dining area that comfortably seats 6. This unit comfortably sleep up to 8, with each bedroom having its own custom bathroom. Professionally decorated and fully furnished with upscale furniture. All rooms have upgraded remote controlled A/C and ceiling fans, televisions, and Wireless Internet access. Only a 3-minute easy walk to the beautiful Tamarindo beach. In addition, we have our own back up water system when times get tough and water is either rationed or non-existent, in addition to providing increased water pressure. You will not be disappointed with our unit.

We are located at the south end of town, far enough from town to get away from the crowds, yet close enough to walk to all the shopping, entertainment, recreation, internet cafes, banks, restaurants, bars, and discos.

Fantastic rental!

We stayed in this condo for the full month of January this year. I cannot say enough good things about it. The location is perfect - just a couple blocks from the beach and town, but far enough away to be serene and quiet. It is great because unless you want to journey farther afield in the area, you really don't need a car. Grocery store in walking distance, and pretty much everything you need. We only rented a car for a couple of weekends for day trips.

This unit is fantastic - It is really nicely maintained and up to date. The kitchen is so big and well-equipped. In fact, it is significantly bigger/nicer than other units in the complex - the only one we saw that had space for a full dining table. There is laundry under the stairs. The air conditioning, TVs and internet all worked great (though internet gets a bit spotty on 3rd floor). Master suite is huge and balconies have a nice view to the pool (some chairs would be a great addition to those). We had our 3 little girls with us, and it was nice to have an enclosed complex where we could just let them go out and play.

The units are a mix of long-term owners/tenants and vacationers - we were lucky to make lots of friends while we stayed. The groundskeeper, Alejandro, is also about the nicest guy ever, and helped teach us Spanish and showed us how to feed the resident iguanas flowers... He also does a great job of ensuring the grounds stay lush and green and the pool is perpetually sparkling. We spent most of our time by the pool!

The owner, Steve, is incredibly responsive and accommodating. We were glad to meet him when he came down during our trip. When we asked for things we needed in the condo, he was eager to meet our needs. He also had lots of great tips for things to do in the area.

To the previous comment re:water pressure. This definitely used to be a challenge. Steve owns 2 condos right next door to each other. We stayed 1 night in the first one which had major water pressure challenges. Luckily we were able to move into the other unit which was already set up with a back-up water tank reserve system, which ensures you don't run out of water when the rest of the town does (this apparently is not infrequent!), and increases the pressure. While we were there, Steve came down to put in the same system in the other condo so they are both all set up and should have no further issues with this problem.

As you have noted, we try to be as responsive as possible to unanticipated issues and go out of our way to try to make your experience with us the best it can be. In as much as water availability and water pressure is on occasion, and more frequently lately, an issue in the entire area of Tamarindo, we have been proactive in getting ahead of any major disruptions in water by having available 3 Thousand liters of water in reserve, in the event of either a water shortage or complete disruption of service. Very few units in Tamarindo can offer this water protection and increased water pressure. Hope you will again consider us for your next visit to Tamarindo and will tell your friends and family about your wonderful experience with us. Pura Vida, Steve

The location was as mentioned in description but the photos did not accurately reflect the rental's appearance. The condo was not clean nor tidy, nor was it well maintained. The water supply on 3rd floor did not exist so had to use shower on second floor. We were very disappointed with these accommodations as seen in the photos. The court yard and the pool were a farce, as were the chaise lounges. I would NOT reccomend this property to anyone.

Owner's Response: Ray & Trudy- Regarding the unit’s cleanliness and being tidy, upon speaking with Jonathan, he informed me that he immediately sent a cleaning crew to the unit. Our general policy is that we clean the unit upon vacating and again clean it the morning of a new renter arrival. Unfortunately, somehow, the morning cleaning did not take place, so the unit was not cleaned since the prior renter vacated a week earlier. We have since instituted another procedure to make sure this does not happen again. Regarding the 3rd floor water pressure issue- This is unexplainable, as I was in the unit in December, 2011 and again in February of this year and many other times before and since, and I never had a problem. The only thing I can think of is that the complex and town was pretty full at the time and that the municipal water services may have been overtaxed and water pressure suffered as a result, particularly when water had to get to the 3rd floor. We have since replaced the showerheads with high pressure heads so that in the event a similar event occurs, the shower flow should be better, even with reduced water pressure. Based upon my many visits, the pool and grounds have always been well-maintained. I am not sure what your issue was with the chaise lounges, however, because of the number of people there at the time, there may not have been enough at any one time to satisfy demand. Normally this is not an issue, but the timing may not have been so good for you at that time. If you read an earlier review of our unit, you will see an entirely different perspective of the unit. Unfortunately, we slipped a bit with you in what we ordinarily deliver to our renters, but in no way does your experience reflect other renters’ experiences. We Please keep in mind that the units are rented and occupied, so they do suffer some wear and tear and we cannot possibly paint after each renter. Jonathan mentioned to me that you wanted him to paint the entire unit. are always striving to make our renter experiences the best it can be.

Villa Verde Tamarindo

My husband and I stayed at this condo in early April. The condo was very nice, well appointed, the bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable. the master suite is great. the location is perfect - a short walk to town and to the beach. Security is 24/7 at the gated community. it was very hot and the AC worked great. the pool and grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. would definitely go again.
