We have been vacationing on the Outer Banks for over forty years. My parents retired to this area and our family continues to enjoy the peaceful solitude and fabulous views.
Debra Romas purchased this house in 2009
The home was built by my father who designed it when in his late 70's enjoying the fabulous views for ten years. He dubbed his 88th birthday as his double infinity birthday, hence View2Infinity was the name for his home. Best views on the island by far!
A sense of serenity and luxury is having coffee on the upper decks and watching the gulls and herons play in the sound. Cooking crabs caught on the gazebo in the gourmet kitchen can't be beat. Napping in the hammock is a must. Watching the lighthouse intermittent light flicker off the bedroom walls at night will lull you off to sleep in those great Sleep Number beds!
View 2 Infinity is a fantastic house! Because of the location, there are water views in almost every direction, and some of the views are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. There is also a fantastic gazebo over the water that’s great for reading, sipping a nice glass of wine or cocktail, hanging out with the kids, you name it. The house kitchen is also phenomenal – spacious, well equipped, and outfitted with a Viking range and set of double ovens. There’s also a boat slip, kayak, crab pots, everything you could possibly need for a fantastic family vacation on the Outer Banks!!
We just got back today. I wanted to write this while I was still in the Hatteras frame of mind. First of all, this house is soooo comfortably decorated and furnished. I felt like I was staying in the home of a friend, and their furnishings throughout felt comfortable for the entire week.
We were the guests of the renter, but my friend who rented had nothing but easy, full-disclosure conversations with the owner before and once during the rental. They were accessible and Shore Details, their on-island company, was wonderful for the very minimal interaction we had.
This house nicely fit a large family and a couple. we all had our private areas, and the gazebo is by far, one of the most relaxing parts of the cottage. We also enjoyed just sitting on the deck in the morning watching clamming, crabbing, kiteboarding, paddleboarding, or nothing. We took our paddleboards and their kayak out often, and even caught a few crabs and clams. It's an easy trip to the beach, via the Hatteras Rod and Gun shop, and there is plenty of room to unload the beach vehicle while not dirtying up the house.
Only drawback is that I wish there was a separate shed or closet for beach stuff. Everything ended up in the outside shower space, so we didn't really use it. We ended up using just the hose to spray off (not nearly as relaxing as an outside shower). We loved this house -- we will be back for sure! (oh, and they have great TVs - with 5 boys ages 13-20 they weren't turned on once. Now that's weird!)
This house is amazing!! It's a place where you can escape reality. The private peer with hammock was a beautiful place to see living Sand Dollars, seagulls, ducks, cranes, and most of all have a picnic at the picnic table. House came with everything but food and bath towels. This place has the most beautiful sunsets, sunrises and most of all night star gazing from the 3rd floor deck. We rented this place for a vacation/romantic getaway. The hot tub on the second floor was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. I will come back here again and have recommended it to all my friends and family. The owners were the nicest people to email and were super wonderful people. You could tell that took great care of the people who rented their house. We had a gift basket waiting on us whenwe arrived and received a thank you note from the owners within the first week back home. They go above and beyond to make sure our vacation was relaxing and worry free. Thank you.
This house and location was amazing. The view, the hammock, the double kayak, the gazebo, the great balconies and an incredibly comfortable house with a loaded kitchen were more than anyone could wish for. We fished of the private peer, swam right by the house, tied crab traps to the pier and enjoyed every second of the serene, secluded and beautiful property. The owners were extraordinarily helpful and responsive when we asked to borrow their crab-traps. There were games for the kids, tvs, books etc. I was the best rental that we ever had and we've traveled extensively. It has an electric stair lift for those with mobility difficulties.
Honestly, somewhere between all the space, the gorgeous views, the proximity to everything, the view, the views, and the views - this was the best vacation we've had since we took the kids to Bar Harbor in the 90s. The kids jumped off the dock and rode the paddle boats. We slept through the night. Bliss ... We felt at home the moment we came in. I cannot wait to come back.
I cannot adequately convey how tremendously PLEASED we were with this rental. The location of this home on the point in Frisco LITERALLY has you surrounded on 3 sides by breathtaking views of the sound. Trust me when I say that the views could not be beat. We arrived to find the house in immaculate condition. The pictures on this site do NOT do this home justice. If you enjoy cooking, then you will fall in LOVE with the kitchen in this home. The decks at View 2 Infinity are what we have come to consider as the best place for cocktail hour on the islands. Our party enjoys fishing and we were able to catch a wide array of fish from the dock including puppy drum, lizard fish, bluefish, flounder (to name a few). We even hauled in a few crabs as well. The house is conveniently located in close proximity to the food market, the ABC store and the bait shop and is not more than a 15 minute drive to the Ocracoke ferry. I can say, with a fair amount of certainty that I doubt we will ever stay in another home in the Outer Banks. We were literally THRILLED that we found this home on HomeAway.com. This is the first time we have rented a home apart from the mainstay Realtors in the OBX and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Within one week of returning home, our security deposit was received with a kind note from the owners soliciting our feedback on the vacation. I was more than happy to oblige with this review. We cannot thank you enough for sharing your exquisite home with us. I hope that other potential vacationers will give View 2 Infinity serious consideration when looking for a home in the OBX.
Excellent area for kiteboarding and wind surfing- very near area that draws folks from Canada due to excellent wind conditions.
