Our family was able to get some wonderful quality time together! We stayed for a week & took a break from our busy live. we spent the mornings taking it easy drinking coffee and sitting on the porch watching the deer. We had 3 little ones with us and did lots of crafts with them. We had plenty of room for our family, and plan on coming back next year & many years after! Thank you for the wonderful visit! PS-the tub was great.
This home was everything and more than we expected! Everything was just as the VRBO property description had detailed. The property was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed, including a large selection of kitchen appliances, paper goods, and even fire wood....which we put to good use! Our food and drinks were our only purchase! We enjoyed grilling on the porch most evenings and just relaxing after long days of driving and sightseeing. The small cafe' located in Duck Creek Village had great "home cooked" meals and also made great homemade pies. Our group consisted of 3 couples (in our 60's) and the layout and location of the house was perfect for using as a "home base" and driving everyday to see the magnificent scenery that this section of Utah offers, such as Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Brianhead Sky Resort. Working with Susan was a joy. She provided information about the area and tips on where to purchase groceries and other items that we needed. It was wonderful to sit on the expansive porch in the late afternoon with a glass of wine and enjoy the beauty of the deer, which were everywhere, and the other sounds of nature. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one rates at the top. It is perfectly located for winter sports, as well as spring and summer sightseeing trips. This property would also be a great place for families to vacation because of the layout of the home, with lots of room to relax. Our stay was memorable and we would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to this area. The owners were the best and we thank them for sharing their "home" with the Louisiana Gang! Thanks again Susan!
Southern Utah is one of the most spectacular geographic locations in the United States. The Bristlecone Lodge, located in Duck Creek Pines, is an excellent place to spend a vacation exploring this wonderland.
The house is nestled in a wooded area that provides both beauty and seclusion. Bristlecone Lodge is an elegant home that provides every amenity that is needed to experience a wonderful vacation. The house is meticulously maintained by the owners, Susan and Tom. It is spotless and very very comfortable! Yet it possesses a beauty and elegance that will make you wish that you owned the home and that you never ever had to leave this paradise.
Susan was a pleasure to interact with when inquiring about the rental as well as during my stay. She is friendly, knowledgable and readily accessible. A perfect host.
The cost of the house rental is extremely competitive with nearby and comparable properties. In fact my 7 day stay qualified for their offer of a one week rental with one night free - a great deal.
The only thing to calculate in your stay at Bristlecone Lodge is the 40 minute trip to grocery stores in Cedar City. I would recommend something that I failed to do - purchase everything (and I mean everything) that you will need for your stay as you drive to the house. Once in Duck Creek Pines a quick trip to the store to pick up a few items is not either practical or feasible.
Overall Bristlecone Lodge is an excellent home in a spectacular location (at a very reasonable price).
This was the perfect little cabin for anyone to go and spend Christmas or any holiday in. We had a couple feet of snow and so lots of sledding and other snow activities. Cabin is set up very nice and has everything you could ask for. We would recommend to anyone looking to stay. Thanks Susan!!!
We expected a great place and were surprised that it was even better in person. Everything you need is there. Easy to communicate with Susan. She always responded quickly. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place.
Very well maintained and beautiful. We had a enjoyable stay at Susan's cabin would definitely recommend it! And would love to come back for another stay. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy💝
This home was so awesome, we did not want to leave. We stayed at this home to visit Zion NP and Bryce Canyon NP. There were 4 Adults and 1 Child. We are not ones to cook meals on vacation, we go to get away from those mundane details, however we couldn't wait to get back home everyday to be able to enjoy this home. We had everything we needed to be able to cook so that is what we chose to do! Every night we would sit out on the deck and watch the deer come in, there was a family of 5 or so that would visit every night and sometimes in the morning. We made a camp fire a couple nights as well and made s'mores, our daughter was in heaven. We opted to sleep with the windows open and it was dead silent all around us which is perfect for us because we can't sleep with any noise and back home we can't do that! We rented a UTV one day so that all of us could go together, since 2 of the adults are senior citizens, and we explored Dixie National Forest. If you can I would highly recommend Strawberry Point, this was a pretty amazing view. I used Duck Creek Rentals as was recommended by the home owner, the owner Michael was great. I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle as getting to the house is all unpaved roads, they aren't rough but in the winter I would imagine they might be a little dicey. We left this house to go to Moab but certainly wished we had more time here!
