The Pinehurst Lodge is nestled against a mountain with dirt bike and ATV trails right out of the driveway. Even though it's away from the crowds, it's only minutes from Silver Mountain (6 mi) and Lookout Pass (24 mi) Ski Resorts, snowmobile trails, several rivers and the famous Route of the Hiawatha and the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. Choose from two decks to watch the birds or relax in the shade. Being next to public and forest service lands, this 1 acre property is visited by moose, deer and turkeys throughout the year.
The recently remodeled home features hickory cabinetry, bamboo flooring and all new appliances. Available for your use in the kitchen is a programmable coffee maker, toaster, hand mixer, blender and various staples which you are welcome to use. No need to bring detergent, the laundry room is stocked including an iron and board. The bath features tile flooring and an large walk-in shower. The high open ceiling in the living room has a multi-speed fan and you can take in the view from the spacious windows. When you come in from the cold, get cozy by the natural gas fireplace that gives the look of a wood stove without the work-- operate it by remote control! We urge you to bring slippers so you can leave your shoes in the entry. We make every effort to keep the floors as clean as possible right down to steam sanitizing between guest stays.

My family moved to the Silver Valley in 1954, and I attended schools in Osburn, Pinehurst and Kellogg. I have happy memories of summer days on my bicycle by the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River and my first skiing experience was at Lookout Pass. I now reside in Coeur d'Alene but I am still a 'Silver Valley' girl at heart.
Robin Main purchased this cabin in 2008
My father built this home in 1963 and I couldn't imagine not keeping it in the family. It has become our cozy retreat to get us closer to the woods, the dirt bike trails and fly fishing and I love spending time here with my family and even though it's all new inside, it still feels like home to us.
The best part of the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes is south at the Pinecreek Trail Head, about a mile from the lodge. Our location is convenient for us because it's only 30 miles from Coeur d'Alene and it provides our guests with additional opportunities for fun and adventure at Lake Coeur d'Alene and Silverwood Theme Park. Then, only minutes east is my favorite huckleberry picking spot and the historic mining community of Wallace for our guests to explore.
Charming cabin with the advantage of feeling secluded but also being close to town. Every piece of decor is perfectly hand picked for size and atmosphere. This cabin was the cleanest and most charming little place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in and the only regret is I wasn't able to stay longer to enjoy it more. It's perfectly located between Coeur d'Alene and the Silver Valley for daily activity getaways but you may not want to leave once you walk into this little gem.
This was an excellent place to stay. Everything was clean and well maintained. The owners were great. They mailed out directions prior to the trip. The binder full of cabin and local info was a big help. We would definitely recommend this to others who want to stay in the area.
This was such an amazing place to stay! It was so relaxing and the surrounding views and nature were superb. It is such a cozy little cottage, and Robin even left a little stuffed bear for our daughter. We had a great time and will surely be coming back!
We planned 3 days of cycling on the Trail of Coeur d'Alenes and Hiawatha Trail so booked 3 nights at Pinehurst . The accommodation exceeded our expectations ! Great , quiet location ( about 1 mile from trail ) in very cozy , homelike cabin . Garage to store bicycles. Exceptionally clean and well maintained with great quality and variety of household amenities . Good music selection and DVD's ( which we did not have time to watch ) . The books and local info was interesting and helpful . Only thing missing was WiFi but we managed connect at Wallace Visitor Info Centre . Should have brought our grandkids so they could have enjoyed the loft ( we felt too big to stay there ) ! We have stayed at numerous VRBO rentals and this was one of the best !
We really did enjoy our stay very centrally located, a little toasty in the upstairs bedrooms, learned the first night to turn the heat off before we went to bed and all was great! Will stay at the house when we return!
We (family of four with two teenagers) really enjoyed our time at this lovely home. As other reviewers have said, the owner really does provide an excellent variety of supplies. The home is very clean and the quality of items is nice: sheets, towels, blankets and beds were all very comfy, soft and in like-new condition. I loved the bamboo floors and the wood ceilings as well as listening to their great CD collection on the Bose player. Location is nice as it is between Wallace and Coeur d'Alene and Pinehurst is a cute little town with a surprisingly nice grocery store (fabulous ground beef for burgers on the BBQ). Only issue we had was that we didn't get phone or internet reception (T-Mobile), so it was hard to get information. We highly recommend this VRBO (for a group of four or less)!

VRBO/HomeAway has begun charging a "Service Fee" over which I have no control and from which I do not benefit. The fee is a percentage of the rent amount ranging from 4 to 10 percent. At this time, I do not know if that fee is refundable in the case of a cancellation.
