Located in upper Timberline Village three miles East of Packwood. The cabin is set in a small cul-d-sac on a quiet wooded lot. Address is 104 Long Branch Lane, Packwood, WA 98361.
It's approximately 5 miles from Mount Rainier National Park and 15 miles from White Pass skiing. The neighborhood is surrounded by Gifford Pinchot National Forest with many hiking trails nearby. The property is at 1500 feet elevation.
The kitchen, bathroom and living room are located on the main floor. The stairs off the living room lead you into the first bedroom that has a full size bed. A door from this room leads you into a second bedroom that has a queen size bed, and a balcony that has a mountain view through the tall fir trees.
This cabin is a great weekend getaway cabin. It sleeps four comfortably and is well outfitted for your stay. Our cabin offers the perfect place to get a good night rest for the outdoor adventure seekers or a quiet getaway from the city at a great nightly rate. It provides lodging as close to Mt. Rainier and one of Washington's top ski resorts as you can get.
I offer this at a great rate for the budget minded travelers and strive to make each guest happy with their stay.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me an inquiry so I can help you plan your vacation.
I'm pleased to share the cabin with you and your family.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2008
I chose Packwood because of the many outdoor activities. The wildlife is abundant and the local residents are great.
Great skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, hunting, wildlife viewing, mountain climbing, fishing, and adventure seeking.
Very pacefull ideal for really good relax
Have all you need.
Close to mountain rainer
Very cozy and welcoming. Scott provided very detailed directions for getting there. Good think he did because we had absolutely no cell coverage the whole 3 days! I personally like disconnecting. But investing in a good map before you get there is a good idea. Thanks Scott
We enjoyed our 7-night stay at this cute well-appointed, little cabin, despite some very hot days and nights! Some minor maintenance needed, though, which hopefully will be done before the next guests arrive: nearly-plugged bathroom sink and broken stopper; some bathroom wallpaper loose; hot water thermostat set at scalding temperature; braided rug in kitchen unravelling; tree leaves obscuring the sign at the cul-de-sac drive to the cabin; TV's remote device needs new batteries; and one inexpensive bed was uncomfortable. The bed in the north-facing room (with a door) was very good quality, although the owner should replace it's old electric blanket with a new non-electric blanket.
Also, the cabin should be supplied with a fan in the living area downstairs during the hot-weather season. Luckily, we brought one with us! There were good fans, though, in the two bedrooms upstairs--which were a big relief and necessary to be on low during the day to keep the area from getting too hot.
We loved the well-equipped kitchen, with it's big refrigerator and lots of implements! We also enjoyed watching the Olympics in the evening on the big-screen TV. The bathroom had a great shower, and there were plenty of towels, etc. The cabin had a wonderful deck with a table and chairs, but we didn't use it much. We appreciated the trees surrounding the cabin, giving it shade throughout the day and dampening Highway 12 traffic not far below.
It was easy for me to book the cabin and communicate with the property managers (and the owner). Still waiting for the refundable deposit, however (nearly 4 days after we checked out and left it in good shape).
We recommend this cabin to future guests, especially a small family or two single people--any time of the year!
Thank you very much,
Mr. Darvel Lloyd (age 73)
This place was very relaxing and surrounded by wildlife. The town center is full of very welcoming and nice people. Perfect location for a weekend getaway for hiking. I can't wait to go back next year! No wifi, if that's important to you, so bring your own hotspot.
This was a cozy little cabin in a pleasant setting near Packwood. Lots of little conveniences (linen, salt and pepper, TV with DVD) made for a nice stay. It is quite a small cabin. Steep stairs might be a problem for small children or elderly.
It was perfect. Right by excellent fishing and hiking spots. Close to town in case you need supplies. Loved it. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. About my only complaint would be no Wi-Fi or cable services. (That is very easily solved. If you go into town plenty of movie rental options. ) = )
