About Kristi & Wally Lawrence

We are Robert 'Wally' and Kristi Lawrence. We have lived in Flagstaff for 38 years and love the area and the beauty it offers. We have traveled ourselves quite a bit and love staying in vacation rentals whenever we have the opportunity. It is a way to get a real feel for a location and live like the locals do.

Kristi & Wally Lawrence purchased this lodge in 2010

Why Kristi & Wally Lawrence chose Arizona

We purchased 'The Lodge' because Flagstaff is such a great location to visit and it is right next door to our home. We have always had many visitors in our home from all over the world and feel this is another way to continue this.

What makes this lodge unique

This is such a relaxing, quite location. We especially love being able to explore many different areas, cultures, art and have it all so close to home. Coming in at night or on a snowy day and sitting by the fire reading a book -- just can't be beat.

Comfy Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Our party, five total, had a great time at The Lodge! We loved that it was so close to town and yet felt far removed. We chose this home largely due to the many positive reviews on this site, and found them to all be spot on.

It was clean with every amenity you might need on a trip. The washing machine and dryer were great and easy to use - nice to bring home clean clothes! Every bed was quite comfortable. The master bedroom has a large bathroom and closet. A second bedroom was on the other side of the house with a bathroom right next door. In addition, a roomy loft upstairs has two twin beds. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace, which we used every evening due to the cold, windy, snowy weather (late March, might not be the best time to visit Flagstaff!). Furthermore, there is also a very helpful binder with restaurant and sightseeing info and many brochures.

I highly recommend this home for your Northern Arizona getaway!

A spacious and relaxing retreat close to plenty of activities. Why stay in hotel??

  • 5 of 5

The Lawrence's property is very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Great open floor plan with great amenities (everything you need-indoors and out). Surrounded by pines with a view of Mt. Elden. The property is just outside of Flagstaff but close enough to do whatever you want in town or hop on the highway and go north or south to so many beautiful natural attractions. The GC is an hour and 15 minutes north, Sodona is about an hour south, horseback riding about half an hour south, Sunset Crater only 20 minutes south. Our only problem is that we ran out of time to do all that we wanted to do! Will have to come back! Memorable trip for sure and the perfect place to stay!

Great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Such a clean cozy place where we felt out of town but could still easily go grab dinner or go sledding. Great yard for kids, loved the fire pit and the open space to explore. The house was wonderful, great master bedroom, perfect living and family rooms. We liked that it was nicely furnished but not too fancy/stuffy so our kids could play freely without breaking things. Lots of great books and games that we all enjoyed too. The loft was perfect for our kids and the kitchen was very functional. Very responsive kind owners to top it off. We would love to return!

Awesome house for a family.

  • 5 of 5

The house was great, it felt as if it was our own home. we stayed there for our daughters graduation ceremony from NAU which wsa only 12 min. away. The surrounding area was nice and quite. The rooms were great and the full kitchen and grill was fantastic to have. The full laundry room with iron and ironing board was also great.
