Est. 2008 - This is a spacious,three story,recently remodeled, corner townhouse, closest(out of four units in the building) to the mountains and sitting a few moment's walk up to hills from Ventura blvd, overseeing San Fernando & Malhouland mountains.

Cantoni bedroom set,high ceiling,huge windows,whirlpool kitchen appliances,hot tub,private balcony & sun deck secluded by trees with mountain air & panoramic views.

Located close to major studios and just minutes to Universal Studios, Universal Amphi-theater concert venue & City Walk, theater complex and theme restaurants; NOHO Arts district; downtown Burbank; Hollywood, (Graumann's Chinese Theater and 'Walk of Fame', Kodak Theater, home of the Oscars; Hollywood Bowl where you can bring your own picnic or order a gourmet meal to be delivered to your box seats while you enjoy an open air concert; LA Zoo and Griffith Park with riding trails and Observatory; 5 min. by car to Hollywood, over Mulholland Drive and down into West Hollywood, Sunset Strip, trendy Melrose Ave and upscale Beverly Hills;10 min. to famous Westwood & Brentwood;15 min. from famous beaches like Venice, Malibu, Santa Monica.

Our family is originally from Russia and Ukraine. When we came to Los Angeles some 23 years ago; both of us fell in love with this city, especially its unique wheather and views.

Its our personal residence where we stay from time to time . We just decided to share the place because of its closeness to worldwide attractions like Universal Studios, Universal City Walk , Hollywood, Sunset Blvds, Mulholland Drive, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Venice & Santa Monica beaches.

Perfect for our family of nine.

The townhome had plenty of room and seating. There were nine of us so three bathrooms were great. The house was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. If we had stayed longer we might have needed additional towels but as it was there were plenty for all. The drive to Universal Studios was an easy 13 minutes and never had to get on the freeway. We walked over to Crust one night and had really good pizza. The owners were easy to work with and made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this place to rent. Thank you for making our time with our grandchildren memorable.

Nice property. Nice area

I liked the area and how close it was to everything, especially Universal Studios. We had an embarrassing incident between myself and the brother-in-law since the bathroom doors didn't lock. The kitchen was set up for very basic cooking, which was fine since we just had breakfast there. The owners were very helpful and kind.

Great place to stay and very close to a LOT of attractions

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We all slept well. The owners are quite conscientious and quick to respond. It is only about 10 minutes away from Universal Studios.

A little run down, needs some TLC.

The property is located in a good neighborhood close to Universal Studios. The condo is very noisy. Sound carries inside and movement from guests on one floor are heard VERY easily from one floor to the next. Needs a facelift. Bathroom leaks down into kitchen.

Owner's Response: We have been with the vacation rental community over about 9 years , almost at the beginnings ) . Our goal is to provide an excellent service & please our guests to the maximum that we can . But in some instances we can not please the guests for the expense of depriving the other guests , or in this case future guests. This traveler wanted to sleep in till noon even though she knew that on the check out day there was a move in at 2 pm . I mentioned that late check out is totally fine with us unless there is a move in that very day , where the place must be cleaned & ready for move in by 2pm as our contact & listing states . It would be impossible to clean the place with all the loundry etc . In that compressed time had she stayed till 12pm . We would have had to tell new guest to wonder around the city till the place was cleaned ; but she answered with no regard for that - how selfish & inconsiderate of other travelers . How would she like to be that traveler to whom we would tell to hold off beyond 2hrs of the given check in time . So she stabbed us with this bogus of noisy place & leaking walls ; she should have just said that the floor collapsed or better yet we have no walls & sound travels all around . We explained very politely the reason of not being able to let them stay but future guest check in on time was of no consern to them . This traveler patiently waited for her full deposit return & our 5 star review of her , & then stabbed with this 2 star so called review . She should stick to the hotel community instead of destroying & making up stories as a part of the revenge . So we are asking all potential our guests to look past this retaliation statement of us needing " facelift " . Our main goal & principle is to be ethical & considerate of all guests equally !!!

Foul Odor Upon Arrival Couldn't Stay

We arrived at this property and smelled a foul odor throughout the entire place. We opened the windows. Our throats began to burn, and we were coughing. There were 4 of us and we all felt the same. We stayed a couple of hours thinking it may have been cleaning agents and the fresh air would help, but it did not. The foul odor remained. We left and got a hotel room. We called the owner and explained that we smelled a foul odor and felt sick. He asked if it smelled like mold. I replied that I did not know what mold smelled like. He went to the property and called us back and said he thought maybe it was a dead animal but he couldn’t find anything. He wanted us to go back to the property along with a “neutral” third party and smell the place. Even if a neutral third party could really be found, we were not comfortable staying there because we felt our health was at risk. We were coming from the east coast and this was just the first day of our 8 day vacation in Southern California. We certainly didn’t want to be sick for it. We requested a refund of our payment. He did refund our security deposit, but nothing else. We felt that the quality of service was not as described and we should have been refunded in full.

A couple of other things…double sinks were advertised for the master bathroom. There were 2 sinks, but only 1 had a faucet. I'm not talking about a working faucet. I mean a faucet. It did not have a faucet. No written instructions were provided. We had to make numerous phone calls to them before we even entered the premises. They asked that I call when we were an hour away, at which time they told me the place wasn’t ready for us because I had previously told them we PROBABLY wouldn’t arrive until about 5:00 PM. That shouldn’t have mattered. Check in time was stated as 2:00 PM. It should have been ready at 2:00 PM. More phone calls had to be made to receive instructions 1 step at a time. Some calls were to be made to the listed owner and some to the wife. The conversations with the wife were difficult to hear and understand because children were screaming in the background.

We would definitely not recommend this place.

Owner's Response: This is not a review but retaliation . This traveler, Nancy Bickel , who clearly had a change of plans & had no regard & responsibility when booking vacation rental . Obviously had there been an emergency situation : medical , work etc. ; the funds would have been refunded . How come travelers who checked out that day & subsequent travelers who checked did not report any odor ? She claimed some sort of a swell upon arriving . Please keep in mind ( please see the calendar ) that prior & subsequent travelers had stayed at the property without a report of any kind of order. We have been with homeaway since 2010 with 77 reviews & 5 star rating !!! . My wife, asked the traveler " what kind of a swell are you sensing : mold , dead animal that trigger this complaint ( its twisted by Nancy in her statement ). She simply inquired so that they can describe the smell . We came down the property & smelled no odor at all . We offered Nancy to meet at the place & call a 3rd party to see if there is a smell on which Nancy answered " We don't care what other people smell " . There was a traveler staying 05.26-28; 05.31- current that did not report any odor !!! Had there been a hazardous odor, I am certain they would have notified homeaway. As a matter of fact , guests, who stayed right after them had input 5 star review about our place. Hazardous odor ca not vanish on its on. They made up this story to see if they can cancel on the last day . The place was available by the time they got there @ 4pm ; it was cleaned , and ready for a move in @ 2pm as stated on the listing . This guest is unique to our rental experience over 8 years with 77 reviews & 5 star rating. She has written deliberately exaggerated critique of our extremely cleaned & conscientiously cared former personal place . So we ask potential guests to look past it & please call us with any concerns regarding our property & cleaning standards. We are upset to see that there are manipulators in the renting community but we remain trusting as we have had such wonderful guests, who have all enjoyed their stays immensely.
