About Barbara Gallagher
My husband and I have been married for 14 years and have two energetic and terrific school aged boys. Our family vacationed on Kiawah for 9 years prior to purchasing our villa. It was a dream of ours since the first year we visited to own a villa on Kiawah and two years ago, we were thrilled to finally make that dream a reality. Our two boys love the beach, pools/Water Park, Night Heron park (especially Frisbee Golf) & Nature Center, and the awesome family activities. My husband and I love the beautiful beach, biking, nature, and world class tennis and golf. We live in North Carolina and visit Kiawah every chance we get!
Barbara Gallagher purchased this Villa in 2010
Why Barbara Gallagher chose East Beach
We chose this unit for three main reasons. The first is the location. It is an easy four minute walk to the beach and the access has no stairs (which makes it easy when hauling all of your and your kids stuff to the beach!) The second is that it has amazing views of the lagoon and we love to watch the wildlife. The third is that it is very bright and airy and has plenty of space for our family. We love it!
What makes this Villa unique
The best benefits of our unit are beach access, views, Resort privileges including terrific family and adult pools, wireless internet and that it is walking distance to almost everything. It also has new flooring, paint, multiple updates and feels very well kept and clean inside.

We were happy with the villa we rented. Everything was what we expected.
We enjoyed our stay in the villa. Everything was nice & as it was described it would be.
Everything was great!
I'm writing this as we continue our spring trip so I'll keep it short.
The location was excellent - an easy drive to Charleston, a fast walk to the beach, near enough to the Ocean golf clubhouse to enjoy a great cheeseburger . . .
Plenty of wildlife - ospreys, ducks, gators. . .
The villa was clean and roomy for three. We spent much of our "home" time on the screened in deck.
Barbara was easy to deal with and always responsive - thank you.
If we travel to the area this is the first place we would consider.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I would be delighted to have you return. I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation!
Restful Stay, short walk to beach
We had a lovely time in Kiawah, despite the chilly weather! The villa was nicely furnished with everything we needed to be comfortable. Enjoying our morning coffee on the screened porch was the perfect way to start the day.
Comfortable and well equipped
We had everything we needed at this condo. We had breakfast in the mornings and would take off to explore for the day. Tended to have late lunches so money saved on dinner was spent on souvenirs. One night we did have dinner, we picked up some local shrimp, stopped at a farmer's market and bought local beets and fresh bread. What a treat!! Our condo was a comfortable place to hang out and decide where to go and what to do the following days. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
My husband and I just had our first trip to Kiawah Island. We spent 4 nights here in October. We were thrilled with this villa. We decided we are coming back to Kiawah yearly and there is no reason to look at other places to stay! This villa was the perfect location! The path to the beach is just steps away and such a pretty walk. We spent lots of time on the screened porch and saw so many birds, alligators (including a juvenile one!), and even a young buck ran by. The villa had tons of cookware. The furniture was comfortable. The views were great from all rooms. We actually prefer to be on the lagoon instead of the ocean. It was so peaceful just sitting on the porch. We also loved the central location. We biked to Marsh Island Park which was beautiful. We loved biking on the beach. We never bothered to lock our bikes up and no one messed with them. We loved the security of Kiawah. It was such a short walk to The Market and we had breakfast there every morning (the crab and shrimp omelette was amazing!). We also loved Cherrywood BBQ at Osprey Point, and La Tele Pizzeria was great pizza over at Freshfields. Can't wait to book next year's trip. Hands down one of our best vacations ever!
Nature Center with extensive nature programs and activities, access to water park and pools, Camp Kiawah, Night Heron Park with nightly family entertainment (seasonal/holidays), extensive bike/running/walking paths, 3 min walk to the 5 Star Sanctuary Resort featuring full Spa services and several restaurants, Home of the 2012 PGA Championship.
