This 1840 historic Greek Revival home exudes charm inside and out. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently renovated. There is an extensive library which includes many books of interest regarding Martha's Vineyard. And the town library is just across the street. Located just a short stroll from the village center and around the corner from the town harbor and beach, this is an ideal nest for visitors seeking an authentic Vineyard experience.
There is an outdoor shower of course and there is nothing so pleasing as an al fresco rinse after a swim down at the beach. The back yard is fully fenced. A couple of good bikes are available for guests, as well as fishing equipment and beach chairs/toys, etc.
Vineyard Haven is the main ferry terminal for the mainland, a village of about 4,000 with restaurants, a market, shops, theaters, etc all centrally located in its charming downtown area. There is a town dock and harbor bristling with sailboats, and a town beach. Autos, mopeds and bikes can be rented in the village.
