This is a privately owned condominium located in Pacific Shores Nature Resort in Nanoose Bay just minutes south of Parksville. The unit is 1800 square feet with open plan design, comfortable furniture and decorated in beige/sand colours in the iiving/ dining areas and ocean colours (blues/greens) in the bedrooms.
The grounds are lush and well maintained and overlook the sparkling waters of Craig Bay. We have the most incredible views of the majestic snow-capped inland mountains, and glorious breathtaking sunsets over the bay. You can walk through the gardens of Pacific Shores, or go down to the beach to climb rocks and find shells. You can walk or drive to the golden sands of nearby Rathtrevor Beach where the tide goes out almost the full depth of the bay and provides an incredible sandy playground for kids and adults alike. When you walk the beach early in the morning, the peace and tranquility experienced are refreshing and rejuvenating. You can collect shells, see jellyfish, whales, seals, bald eagles - an incredible variety of wildlife. You can enjoy sweeping views of Georgia Strait and watch the occasional cruise ship sail by. Parksville and Qualicum Beach are a short drive away and offer shopping, restaurants, galleries, hiking/walking trails, beaches etc. Our condo is about 30 minutes from Cathedral Grove Forest, Little Qualicum Falls, and Coombs (with the goats on the roof!). Victoria is a 2 hour drive south. Tofino and the Pacific Rim are a 2 hour drive west.
We have owned this condo for about ten years because we love the area - its outdoor activities such as kayaking, beach-walking, hiking, and golfing (there are several outstanding golf courses nearby, and mini-golf for the kids!) but mainly for its beauty (which I have tried to capture in my photographs and paintings displayed in our unit).
It truly is a magical experience to spend time in this wonderful location.

I am a grandma, an artist, a hiker and a golfer. My husband and I live and work in Alberta but visit Vancouver Island as often as we can to escape our harsh climate. Our children and grandchildren share our love of the island and all it offers in terms of its natural beauty and its outdoor activities.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2002
We have always loved the island's lush vegetation, the ocean, the beaches and the golf courses, as well as the mild climate (compared with Alberta). The view from our condo is breathtaking - ocean, mountains and sunsets - that's why we bought a property in this location.
We enjoy easy access to the beach for long walks in the morning when the tide is out and the air is crisp; golf courses close by; quaint towns to explore a short drive away; & the historic city of Nanaimo 20 minutes away with its naval history, its galleries and its shopping. Closer to home, in our resort, we have lovely grounds to walk in with ever-changing colours as the different perennials come into bloom. But the most unique aspect of our property is the stunning display of colours that fill the sky at sunset. This property is located in an artist's and nature-lover's paradise.
Wonderful property, stunning view of the Bay. Condo is nicely furnished, kitchen and BBQ excellent, beds were very comfy.
Two couples here for golfing, courses are nearby and in very good shape. We had a great vacation.
This has to be the most private condo in the Pacific Shores development. Really nice decor, everything you need, and a lot of privacy. We didn't even really notice the neighbours in the adjacent condo's due to the privacy fencing and layout of the planted areas. Beautiful views, rain or shine, and a much needed break for my wife and I. The second bedroom , with its own bathroom, is completely separate with it's own door and short hallway, so guests (kids or friends) won't feel cramped at all. No problems at all with directions and entry/exit instructions. Two parking stalls right in front of the condo which is really nice. Highly recommended. The Parksville area is beautiful, with so much hiking, kayaking, beach combing, artisans, etc. you could never do it all. We will be back. Thanks to Ann and Ken for a wonderful vacation.
We all had a wonderful time in this comfortable and scenic spot.I would recommend this lovely home to anyone wishing to visit this beautiful part of the world.
Incredible time spent at this beautiful condo, will definitely return when possible. Situated in a perfect location, just a short walk to the water to see the sea lions pass by.
This condo surpassed every reasonable expectation we had. It is beautifully finished and decorated with all the amenities and more. We are retired and this was our second winter stay here. The beds are comfy, TV has every channel possible , wi-fi worked great for our laptops, sunsets were spectacular, quiet beach walks right in front ---what more could we ask for? The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. Thanks again -- look forward to returning!
It is a shame that only 5 Stars above, since we both rate this excellent condo 8 STARS.
As soon as you enter the foyer you feel at home and it just gets better!!!! We have booked again for Sept. 2014!!!
We encourage you to see and live the views, quiet and outstanding sunsets.
