Why Amy chose Kohala Coast

My husband is originally from Kona and we have been going back as a family for more than 15 years. Our intention is to retire there some day. The Waikoloa Beach area has become one of the best resort areas on the Big Island over the years and you just can't beat the beautiful year round weather.

What makes this condo unique

There is something for everyone. The two Waikoloa golf courses are beautiful as well as challenging. The views can be stunning enough to make it even harder. Hapuna Beach located to the North of the resort is a fantastic 'Hawaiian' beach that can be a boogie boarder's and surfer's dream at times. Check the local surf report. Fabulous restaurants are just a walking distance away in the King's and Queen's shops. We enjoy Roy's. There is also a gourmet grocery store across the street in the Queen's shops for quick easy meals right in the condo or for grilling on the outdoor BBQ.

Great spot and accommodations. Garage door openers did not work and the living area had only one table lamp-too dark for reading at night!

Amazing Corner Unit - Wonderful Owners

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in early December. We have been to the Big Island around 20 times and love the Waikoloa area. The unit itself is amazing. Way more room than we needed - but we are excited about bringing our children on a future visit. The location at the very end of the complex is very private and secluded. So that was wonderful. It is located adjacent to a tee box on the golf course - which makes for some fun viewing during the day. The owners are wonderful - they went out of their way to help with everything we needed. Very responsive and helpful. The pictures of the unit show exactly what you will find in the unit. Having the beach toys and equipment is wonderful - no rental needed. We would highly recommend this unit and these owners. Thanks for a wonderful stay on the beautiful Big Island!

Best of both Worlds

10/10/15: We are a family of 6 from Oahu who came to Big Island to relax, explore, enjoy family time away from the stressors of "everyday life," and make new memories. We want to thank the owners for offering us such a well appointed and maintained place for us to settle into and enjoy with comfort and ease. As to what you'll find here, I cannot think to say anything new from past reviews and can only vouch for their positive reflections. This condo is everything pictured, well maintained, and clean. Our boys walked in and asked if we could live here! I have to stress the wonderful privacy of this particular unit! If you are reading this, you are likely considering other similar units. What sets this one apart, other than the welcoming decor, is the supreme privacy of being a corner unit in the end of the complex. We enjoyed ample lanai and yard space with plenty of furnishings to fit our family and then some...or just my husband and I for some much meeded quiet time. Still walkable to all you'll want to do but with much more private space around. I'm so glad we chose this unit. For a family like ours with 4 boys, I'm sure the rest of the complex appreciated our being contained to the private corner, as well! Our large family easily fit the space and could have also invited a set of grandparents (if that were possible) and still fit comfortably. Our large rental car, a Nissan Armada, is a giant behemouth of an suv and as such did not completely fit in the garage, but we are used to making such compromises. There remained plenty of convenient parking even without the garage. So any one of the other normal sized vehicles you might rent should fit nicely. We are residents on Oahu and as such, are used to life in Hawaii, love the people, and are accustomed to the idiosyncrasies of island life (which we love). That said, I feel this condo offers a great location from which to explore the raw beauty of the Big Island while still enjoying a "mainland" ideal of modern comforts. Make sure to "talk story" with the shop owners and waiters and maintenance workers. Ask what they love about living here and share what you love about your experiences, you'll learn a lot about Hawaii and probably get some tips you'll appreciate for your stay. Last thing to note, we were here during the Kona Ironman Championship race and could not have had a better location for that event. Waikaloa is situated on the cycling course so we walked to the main road to cheer on the cyclists, eve

Family Fun

Great place to stay! We have been going to Waikoloa for years and now will only stay at the Beach Villas. We love the grill on the deck and the impeccable standard each condo has. This condo was exactly as described in the details. We found a clean, well decorated, comfortable place to stay. We would highly recommend this condo!

We loved the condo. It was even nicer than the pictures. Very private end unit with very nice large patio for pu pus after a long day at the beach. Excellent location for morning walks and proximity to queens market place was handy for restaurants and groceries. It was also very nice to have the body boards , beach chairs and snorkeling stuff for the beach. We felt like we were really at home in paradise.

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!!!

We stayed on short notice. The owner's were so helpful and nice. The condo was just beautiful. Wonderful mountain views from upper porch. There was lots of room for our family. The kitchen was great, they had children's plates and cups, a real plus. Loved the outdoor viking grill. Nice outdoor seating, we ate out there most nights and great place to relax. You look out onto a golf course, it was fun to watch. The condo was on the end and it gave our kids a great place to run around and play outside. They also had a ton of beach toys, chairs, mats, beach towels, beach bag, coolers, boogie boards and snorkel gear. They also had some books and movies around the condo, as well as wi-fi. The pool area was nice, kids loved it. There was also a workout room next to the pool. Great location, short walk or drive to lots of shops, gourmet market, restaurants and beach. We just loved this condo and the owner's were great. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. It was a great option to save money as we didn't have to get 2 hotel rooms and we could cook our own food, which was way cheaper. The photos on here are very accurate but there is so much more to see that the photos do not show, lovely place. Overall, just a great place to stay. Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!!!

Owner's Response: So glad that our renters are enjoying the recent additions to the unit. We have added lots of beach gear-chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, boogie boards, beach toys and more. We also have two sets of golf clubs available; some movies for kids and books for adults for those much needed quiet moments. The extended outside area is perfect for children who want to stretch their legs or for adults looking for some added privacy. We have many more photos available, so please ask to see them!
