Why the Owner Chose Brooklyn:: It is the best neighborhood in NYC. The Unique Benefits at this Town home: Year Purchased: 2006 - Location. Location. Location. We have everything you need within footsteps. Owner Description/Comments: We look forward to meeting you and hope we can enhance your visit to NYC in some way!
We have roots in the midwest and Long Island, NY. We have lived in Manhattan and San Francisco and traveled quite a bit before we had kids. We feel lucky to have found this amazing community in Brooklyn and are thrilled to call it home.

We find this part of Brooklyn to have it all - delicious bakeries, inviting cafes and inspired restaurants plus original and eclectic boutiques, many family-owned businesses and beautiful parks - plus the convenience of any easy commute to the city.
We loved our stay in this charming Brooklyn apartment. Delightful and quiet neighborhood, easy access to the subway, comfortably furnished space---it was perfect! The owners were friendly and helpful, too. I highly recommend!
Although i know everyone has given this property five stars, I was not as impressed. That said, my daughter and friend thought the brownstone was fabulous and said they would rate it a 4. BTW the are 40. We had some issues with not receiving an email to tell us how to get in and therefore spent our first day arriving at 7am and then having no place to go. We had previously made arrangements to arrive early. Fortunately someone that was renting opened the front door and we put our luggage in and took off for Manhattan hoping to hear from the owners...we did, much later in the day. We stayed on the second floor, very narrow steps as you would imagine and had we not had our daughters with us, getting our luggage up would have been a problem. So my suggestion is unless you are young or very in shape or have no heavy luggage this is not the place for you. And...if you have people staying above you, which we did, and they have children...not a good combination. Although Jamie did ask them more than once to quiet down. Also the apartment seemed tired...sheets that wouldn't stay on the bed, tiebacks hanging by a string, sour smelling towels, a towel rack that kept falling off the wall. Again, just not my style. I have learned that a 5 star VRBO or Home Away rental is not the same as a hotel. Learn new things all the time and I just wish I had understood the rating system prior to renting this property. Again, I am 69 and have stayed in some wonderful places and may be a bit spoiled. Just in case you are in the same boat, thought it important that another side to a 5 star is also part of the reviews.
This place was a godsend for our families to come together from 4 different countries for our son's wedding. We chose it for the location, park for our grandchildren, size, appearance and accommodating hosts. It fulfilled our hopes and we felt so at home there.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. My favorite aspects of it was its little deck where my husband and I could sit outside at night, as well as the proximity to the park, subway and many restaurants and shops. We have three kids, so finding a place with actual beds for 5 seemed to be a challenge. And this place gave my oldest daughter a room of her own with a twin bed. And even though the owners were away during my visit, they were very quick to respond to emails.
For my first trip to New York to share Father's Day weekend with my daughters, this could not possibly gone any better. Staying in a quaint little brownstone in a beautiful neighborhood blocks away from some of the best bagels and pizza I have every eaten, Jamie and Joe provided us with a nice, clean, two bedroom apartment that gave us the feel of actually being residents. With a park across the street and restaurants nearby, we really didn't need to go to Manhattan, but we did and returned to our home to reinvigorate for the next day. Thank you Jamie and Joe. It was so nice to meet you and we have already decided that on our next trip there, we will be calling you again.
Location, location, location! It was perfect! Only a two minute walk to the subway and a short ride into Manhattan. We were able to see everything on our wish list and when we weren't sightseeing, my daughter and I sat on the stoop and watched my young granddaughters playing in the park, the entrance to which was right across the road.
The apartment was very comfortable with three large rooms, living room, dining room and master bedroom. The second bedroom was small, but perfectly adequate for the girls. The kitchen and bathroom were both very small, accommodating only one person at a time, but I imagine this is standard for a house in this neighborhood.
We didn't see much of Joe and Jamie, but they were charming hosts, going above and beyond in helping with our luggage when we arrived and even lending us umbrellas one day. I would certainly consider staying here again should I ever get back to New York.
We are located 5 minutes by subway from lower Manhattan, 25 minutes to midtown and 20 minutes to Coney Island.
