Carroll Gardens House is nestled in the heart of Carroll Gardens, one of Brooklyn’s most charming brownstone neighborhoods.

The apartment is one full floor of a brownstone. The apartment is approximately 1000 square feet, with full kitchen, private bath, living/dining area, two bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed), small den and private outdoor deck. It's the ideal home base whether your visit is for business or pleasure.

Enjoy the many amenities this wonderful setting has to offer. There are over 100 restaurants and cafes within walking distance, dozens of family-owned shops and local boutiques specializing in everything from children clothing to housewares, and the beautiful Carroll Park directly across the street with 2 playgrounds, a softball field, a bocce court, 5 basketball courts, and a sprinkler in the summer. Our location just half block from the subway couldn't be more convenient as a home base from which to explore New York's most popular borough.

Calendar - We keep the calendar up to date but advise travelers to always email for availability in the event we have a cancellation. House Rules- Comfort & Quiet - Carroll Gardens House is a private residence. We ask that our guests respect the comfort and quietness of the owners and residents. CGH is NOT a party house. It is a 130 year old brownstone on a quiet tree-lined block. Please keep voices and footsteps low when entering late at night. Smoking Policy – there is absolutely NO smoking in the apartment or outside on the deck. Pets - We do not allow pets. Cancellation Policy – Cancellation within 60 days for a full refund or 30 days for 50% refund. If we book the dates you have canceled we will refund you 100%. Park directly across the street with softball field, bocce court, 2 playgrounds, 5 basketball courts.

We have roots in the midwest and Long Island, NY. We have lived in Manhattan and San Francisco and traveled quite a bit before we had kids. We feel lucky to have found this amazing community in Brooklyn and are thrilled to call it home.

We find this part of Brooklyn to have it all - delicious bakeries, inviting cafes and inspired restaurants plus original and eclectic boutiques, many family-owned businesses and beautiful parks - plus the convenience of any easy commute to the city.

We loved this place!

This second floor flat in a beautiful old brownstone offers everything you need and more for a great stay in Brooklyn. It's located a half block from the subway in Carroll Gardens, a pretty and lively neighborhood. The are loads of great restaurants and bagel shops very nearby and an amazing Italian cookie bakery around the corner.

The apartment is clean, efficient and well maintained with an updated bathroom and well equipped galley kitchen. We appreciated that the hosts provided things like coffee, teas, butter and jam, oil and a few spices in the kitchen. The host is friendly, helpful and available without being intrusive. Just great!

We hope to return soon, this time in warm weather so that we can enjoy the rooftop deck!

Great apartment in great neighborhood

My husband, college-age son and I stayed here for five days. We'd been to NYC many times, but never stayed in Brooklyn. We are so glad we did. This was in a neighborhood right across from a park and school. The apartment was quiet and comfortable. It was near a subway station so getting around was easy. Jamie was a wonderful host. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to be back! (Note, it is a 3rd floor walk up for those with physical limitations). We enjoyed various nearby wine bars - highly recommend Entoteca on Court, Brooklyn Social on Smith, and Black Mountain Wine House.

A great space in a great spot!

After a little confusion over which of two apartments was the one we were looking for, Jamie was great in helping us sort through the booking. We were supposed to be three people but ended up just two so probably had a little more space than we needed and we never used the second bedroom. J

amie met us with a smile and helped us learn the ropes of the apartment - not without its quirks, but you expect that with an apartment vs a sterile hotel room. Some of the lights were not working (or we couldn't figure out), the refrigerator was not very cold even turned way up and one of the wall outlets wasn't working. But the place was clean, spacious, very well laid out and perfectly situated in the heart of Carroll Gardens.

Being high up gave us a great breeze on the unseasonably hot days we were there, gave us lots of light and open views, and gave us a little softening of the sounds from the park across the street. And the park - it's such a wonderful feature! To be able to stroll across the street and sit under big shade trees while kids and families play around you is such a treat in the big city!

Some quick notes: you're a short 1/2 block from the subway and bus, steps from historic and wonderful food stores and outlets or modern alternatives, a great walk from Park Slope/Gowanus, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade or crossing either the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridge. The apartment is comfortable, mattresses are perfect and Jamie was very responsive to texts or calls. I'm sure I'm leaving things out but suffice to say we'd absolutely come back to this apartment the next time our travels take us through New York!

We loved Brooklyn!

My family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) stayed in the Carroll Gardens apartment for 5 nights. We went into Manhattan everyday and did the usual touristy-stuff: Staten Island ferry, 9-11 museum and memorial, Central Park, Broadway show and Times Square, the Met, a Yankees game, etc. We quickly mastered the subway (which is conveniently close to the apartment) and when we got confused we always found a New Yorker who was willing to help us out! We all agreed that it was SO nice to start and end our day in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood, where it was quiet, peaceful, and felt like home rather than a hotel. The nearby streets provided convenient shops, bars, and coffee stops. One day we walked through Brooklyn and across the Brooklyn Bridge, which turned out to be one of our favorite experiences. All in all, the apartment was one of the highlights of our trip and we all loved Brooklyn more than we ever thought we would! The apartment was clean and nicely decorated and WAY better than a hotel for a family of 5. We would stay here again without hesitation and have already been recommending it to our friends who want to visit New York.
