Hi, I'm Brenda, I have enjoyed the cottage for the last 25 year with my family. Having recently retired I have moved from the mainland into the main house on my property. I now rent out the cottage so other families can enjoy the river's tranquility and beauty, like my family has over the years.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 1981
The hostess Brenda was welcoming and very helpful. She lit the fire before we arrived to warm up the cabin.
It's a large nice property right by the river. Brenda kept the cabin clean and comfortable. Layout was great, shower and kitchen worked well.
I look forward to coming back here soon. Thanks
Beautiful, peaceful winter get away. Cabin exactly as pictured. Wood stove kept everything toasty with plenty of wood and kindling. Brenda was a wonderful hostess Already plotting next year.
This little cabin is perfect. Stop looking and book it, you will not regret it! Everything from comfy beds and a really great woodstove, to eagles and herons flying by and fishing in the river. If you are looking for a great place to get away from the hectic pace of the city, you will find it here.
Brenda is awesome, and takes really good care of the property. We stayed for Christmas, and she had the cabin beautifully decorated and lights all over the site! The kitchen is totally outfitted with everything you need, just bring food (and wine)!
We know the area is beautiful too, but we didn't leave the cabin once the whole 5 nights we were there. Everything was too amazing to want to go anywhere else.
What are you waiting for? Send Brenda an email and pack your bags! Prepare to relax and unwind and find a piece of serenity.
The cabin is exactly as advertised, the deck hangs out over the river, there is a very large garden which hosts a huge amount of wildlife, the inside of the cabin is cosy and a home from home - the whole place is magical and I'm sad we only had three nights there but we'll be going back again because we both absolutely loved this place!
Brenda is the perfect host, very helpful, chatty and friendly. Her two dogs are gorgeous and both love a good hug! I loved watching the heron in the river and trying to spot the belted kingfisher and the woodpeckers as well as any number of other birds and mammals too. There are lots of great walks in the area and the nearby town has shops and restaurants a short drive or a walk away. The local people that we met were all very friendly and helpful too.
I can't express how much I loved staying at this idyllic place it's so peaceful and calming, the cabin is delightful and the area is great too. I would highly recommend a stay here, you'll love it too!
If you are looking to feel a million miles away from the daily grind, this cabin on the river will take you there. Its sits on a beautiful secluded property and is owned by a wonderful woman who lives on site. Completely private and opens up to the river and its wildlife. Look no further!
