Since purchased by Pop-pop Eastman in 1947, our lake property has been enjoyed by family and friends for generations. Location is just north of Echo Bay on the main body of the 'Queen of the American Lakes'. Our camp consists of two cabins, garage and dock with sundeck, all situated along more than 100' of shoreline. From the dock, Assembly Point, Lake George Village and Long Island can be seen to the southwest and the Sagamore Hotel, Tongue Mountain and Dome Island can be seen to the north. Mature trees on the property are home to chipmunks, red squirrels and, of course, the list of bird species for the area is endless. Loons can be heard in the distance and otters have been spotted occasionally scampering along the water's edge. Canoeing/kayaking is awesome with many nearby inlets to explore! Fishing and swimming right off the dock are a big plus at this private retreat with miscellaneous water toys available for your use stored in the garage. New sundeck over the boatslip is a perfect spot to spend time lounging and relaxing and enjoying the view. The boatslip accommodates only small crafts. For more information and details on docking a boat at our place, please contact us.
Being on the east shore, the sunsets are beautiful! A chimenea on the front deck can add to the evening ambience- also perfect for toasting marshmallows. On clear nights, the sky is filled with stars, planets and shooting stars. Even catch the passing of the International Space Station if your timing is right!
The fishing on Lake George is great- from mid-April up to the end of October offers the finest fishing for large and smallmouth bass, perch (my personal favorite!), bluegill, northern pike, pickerel, lake trout and salmon.
Just 5 minutes away is the Cleverdale Country Store which offers a wide variety of food, drink and supplies. Great sandwiches, fresh local produce, meats, ice cream, gifts and more!
Three nearby marinas- Fischers, Pilot Knob and Castaway for all of your boating needs.
Less than 10 minutes away, the Ridge Terrace Restaurant is one of the best in the area for fine dining.
Main cabin has 2 bedrooms- one has a queen bed, one with a full bed, also a pull-out couch in living room (full size).
Guest cabin has 2 bedrooms- both with a full bed in each. A twin sized 'daybed' in the living room. We ask that guests please bring all of their own linens/towels.
We do offer partial week stays before Memorial Day. We ask for a 3 night minimum. Rates vary so please inquire for more info on the early season.
More photos and info available upon request.

We enjoyed a memorable and unique week. The lakefront cabins accommodated our family (4 adults, 5 children) well, and the property was an ideal setting to relax, swim, hike, and explore nearby towns. The description and photos on HomeAway gave an accurate idea of the cabins. Being directly on this clean, scenic lake was a special treat, and the comfortable elevated deck offered beautiful views of the lake, mountains and sunsets. The owner's communications before, during and after our stay proved very helpful. Children and adults found the 2-hour "Floating Classroom" outing, operated by the Lake George Association, a worthwhile and educational activity, helping us better understand the ecology of the lake. We would certainly recommend this property to others seeking a location that's rural and tranquil, yet not too far away from shopping, restaurants, museums, cultural events and other attractions.
I planned a surprise 30th bday at the house with a handful of his closest friends and the house was perfect. It was clean, has all of the household supplies you needed, it has a great deck off the living room and the new sun deck is AMAZING! Especially on a beautiful day! Tracy was more then helpful answering all my many questions prior to arrival. Im not sure if it states this on the listing but note that the boat dock can only hold certain size boats so make sure you talk to Tracy about this prior to your rental. I would recommend this rental for anyone looking for a nice, relaxing getaway! You can't beat the price for what you are getting in return.
If you want to feel like your going to families cabins for a little of R&R this is it. I can only imagine all the memories that must have been created in this house. The cabins were very cozy and private, the separate cabins allow for some quiet time and for time for kids to be kids and also bring everyone together during meals. The grill works great the full-sized refrigerator is like brand new, and the view from the sun deck, whether sunrise or sunset, was amazing.
The Pilot Knob property is a quaint, comfortable setting right on beautiful Lake George. It's located in a quite area of the Lake were you can sit back and enjoy watching all kinds of water crafts passing you by. The sunsets are breathtaking. However you aren't very far from the Village and lots of fun activities. This property is all about location. You have easy access into the lake and a great sundeck for catching rays. The lake's edge is less then 100 feet from the back deck. The cabin and cottage are kept cool however from the shade of tall, old trees that surround the property allowing privacy. I've stayed there twice with a group of girlfriends and had a fantastic time. It's our way of getting back to nature without roughing it. There are many good local restaurants nearby, wish I could remember them all but a vacation isn't complete without a special night out at the Sagamore Resortl across the lake. I'd love to own a summer home on Lake George just liek this one.
This camp on the quiet East shore of Lake George provides the perfect accommodations for families, couples, or groups of girlfriends. Two cabins allow for privacy, but the main cabin and kitchen allow for camaraderie. The sunsets are breathtaking! The swimming area is great for kids, and the dock/sundeck is perfect for boats and sunbathers alike! Plenty of room in the living room and front porch for scrapbooking, crafts, and relaxing. All the comforts of home, but on a fabulous lakefront piece of ground! Owners are easy to work with and communicate well.
Hi this is Rex & Patti This place is wonderful...We have never had a bad time at the Lake. The most relaxing vacations we have ever had. And the view... takes all your stress away. This place is on our short list of vacation places every year. And the fact we can take our 2 dogs is super, I think they enjoy it as much as us!!! The drive up is pretty nice also. We come from Harrisburg area in Pa and it takes us only 7 hours max. The cottages are lovely. Very suitable for 3 or 4 couples or families. There is a restaurant very close that is the best...the food is supurb. We highly recommend this vacation spot. You will not regret it!!! Book now and enjoy!!!!
