Beautiful property and home. Backyard is forest, which creates a great view from the patio. Nice little fire pit in the front yard. Gas grill is available.

Charming for a romantic weekend

  • 4 of 5

Cabin was clean except for a few oversights we had to clean ourselves (top of fridge, under bed, deck furniture). Found a bucket of something icky on the deck table -- not sure what this was so we left it there. Location was convenient for driving to town (not really for walking as it was along a highway), with nice forested lot, just leafing out in end of April. (We saw deer from the lovely deck. Nice view of the treetops from bed.) Mostly quiet and peaceful, but there was a bit of car noise from the highway in front of the house as it's not set back very far. Nicely, comfortably furnished with a romantic fireplace. No pix of the bathroom on the listing, but it was fine. Drawbacks: very minimal closet/drawer space, precarious-feeling stairs from driveway to entry and from bedroom to bathroom, no cushions for deck furniture, no clothes washer/dryer, no dishwasher, no rubber gloves for washing dishes (we bought some and left them there). Otherwise, well equipped. Accordingly, probably best for a weekend stay, rather than longer. A short drive to Brown State Forest and Yellowwood for hiking. Big Woods is recommended for dining -- they have a couple locations in Nashville with different menus. Everything we had was very good.

Clean and close to Everything!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location just outside of Nashville. The cabin was a wonderful getaway. It had everything we needed and more. While we were there, there were high winds and the whole town of Nashville lost power, but not at the cabin. We were so fortunate to have a cozy place to just hang out. I think it took us longer to get in the car than to drive to town. ha ha! It's close but still nicely secluded and private! Highly recommended!
