About Michelle & Tony

We have been living in the Hawaiian islands for over 30 years. After living on Maui for 14 years, we searched and found our beautiful property on Kauai in 1998. The view of Makeleha Waterfalls was too gorgeous to walk away from, so we decided to build our 'DreamHome' here. Fast forward a few years later and we now have our own 'slice of paradise'. We just had to share this great place with our family and friends, so we also built a separate Cottage which we named 'Mana Falls'.

The Hawaiian woman who actually named our street 'Ho`omaha Place' about 35 years ago, told me how she came upon that name. It means 'a place to Rejuvenate or Restore' and that is exactly how it feels to us and everyone who comes to visit. Just seeing the majestic mountains each morning gives me such peace and a sense of renewing my spirit. Meditation comes so easily here!! Hence the name 'Mana Falls' which you may know, is another word for Spirit.

We would welcome the opportunity to share our little island paradise with you and hope you will have a wonderful, spirit-lifting vacation of your dreams.

Michelle & Tony purchased this cottage in 2007

Hidden Gem

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I spend 7 days at this wonderful little place, and we really enjoyed it. We felt like we were able to get away from the crowds, but sadly not the roosters (they are everywhere on the island). The owners are very nice and allowed us to use their snorkel gear and boogie boards. It is a short drive to Kapaa where you can find some great restaurants. The only feedback that I have is the internet connection wasn't very strong on the property. The owner said that the internet company was having issues, but we could only get a semi-solid signal in the living room during our stay. I'm sure this would be an easy fix with a signal extender. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it to my friends? Yes.

Great location! Great house! Great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Kauai and we really enjoyed this location. The house is on the same lot as the house that Michelle and Tony live in, but the vegetation provides plenty of privacy. Michelle and Tony we're very accommodating and friendly, and really let us have our privacy and do our own thing, but they let us know that they were available if we needed anything. We really liked the town of Kapaa and are glad that we stayed in this house that is just a few minutes drive from all the restaurants and stores. We even went to church on Sunday and we're treated really well by the locals. This location was really good for exploring the island. We hiked on the Napali Coast and even visited Polihale on the other side of the island, and this place was a great location to serve as a home base.

Thank you for sharing your island with us.

Lovely, comfortable, clean cottage with a private place to sit in the sun.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Michelle and Tony's cottage.

The cottage itself is very nicely laid out and comfortable; we spent several lazy mornings hanging around "home" and wished that we'd had more time to spend there. On sunny mornings, we enjoyed eating breakfast outside and reading on the sun chairs.

The yard is lush and green, and the cottage has been situated for maximum privacy, with a nice piece of lawn that feels like your own.

Tony and Michelle are really nice people and are great hosts; they are very friendly and helpful, but also leave you plenty of space.

The location makes for a good home base, just a few miles from Kapa'a and within an easy drive if the entire island.

We were really sorry to leave and we would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

Also, the pictures and descriptions given above are very accurate.

We hope to return for another beautiful vacation.

Cosy, Clean, Well stocked cabin

  • 5 of 5

Michelle and Tony are warm, helpful hosts. They respond quickly to any questions and are so welcoming. The cottage on their property is very clean with a well stocked kitchen and very comfortable bed. It is a super private place, and you can see so many stars at night! The one thing to know is it is a 10 minute drive from town/beaches. This is a solid gold value for a place to stay in Kauai. They even loan you snorkel equipment while you're there! Kapa'a is a great location. There are good stores and restaurants there, an excellent farmers market on Wednesdays, nice beaches, and if you want to visit the north or south shores, it is equal distance drive to those parts of Kauai. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect Vacation Week

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Michelle and Tony for having such a nice rental cottage! We enjoyed our week so much and wished we could stay longer. We were so glad we stayed here and not in a hotel! The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation; simple, clean, comfortable accommodation, and being in a quiet neighborhood away from town was a big plus. Thanks for having wifi too, that was vital for us with european phones and no U.S. phone service! And it was so nice to have a kitchen to cook for ourselves instead of having to eat in restaurants. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

VERY NICE PROPERTY SPACIOUS COTTAGE

  • 4 of 5

Michelle was very attentive and helpful. shes sweet and kind. we really enjoyed this cottage, we would recommend it.

The neighbor hood was very nice for walks. we never did find a bamboo forest or see waterfalls close to house.

And the town is only a nice 10 min or so drive to get supplies.

Very centrally located.
